This DVD looks like it is really good too. I just ordered the 3 DVD set, but I may have to come back and get this one too.

What a nice video, HD & strereo effects, wow. Thanks very much! I also learned today that Thomas Cook Scandinavia uses the A 321 instead of the German Thomas Cook which uses the B 757. :D

@GustavDaPilot "Positive climb" means that the variometer indicates they are climbing and they can safely retract the gear.

@roliaqt Thomas Cook airliner is a British airlines but Thomas Cook Scandinavia is based in Copenhagen and Stockholm :D

@VFA103JollyRogers Hi, this DVD contains 4 flightdeck flights. No walkaround. It has been done so many times before on this type. There is one on the ATP DVD because it is filmed much less and therefor perhaps justified. Cheers!

I love how they can fly an airliner with a joystick! That is so cool! I was born in Stockholm, Sweden. I have lived in the United States for just a bit over 30 years. I never forget where I'm from! I am going over again next month for two weeks!

Brilliant DVD im gonna buy it.... its interesting to watch the captain how he holds the sidestick during take off- probably for a better feeling of the rotation or control of the aircraft whatever CHERS

Great video, I've flown Thomas Cook a lot these last years, cause I normally prefer the charter airlines with the newest possible planes But the seats are really crammed on Thomas Cook Scandinavia flights. I flew both Cook and Novair the same day last summer, and was amazed when I discovered how much personal space I had on Novair compared to Cook.

Realy good video ! I´am an aviation enthusiast but I didn´t know that "Thomas Cook Scandinavia" exists. Pretty cool ! Please keep on !

It also depends on the transition level. Since in Norway, for example, the TA is 7000, any altitude above that would be read as a flight level. However, in the US, the TA is 18,000, so altitudes would be read with FL only after 18,000.
@bruno8412 жыл бұрын
If I may, it is not really a variometer but a VSI. A variometer combines vertical speed with airspeed to give you an idea of the energy available and you can find it mostly in gliders. Also, in the past it used to be "positive rate" because only the VSI was checked but because it isn´t very reliable (due to the transient pressure flutuations during the attitude change) you know check it AND the altimeter thus the change to "positive climb". Regards and thanks for the videos!!!
@jigoloo113 жыл бұрын
@RnnBeatz it depends, because, from may until october, he's flying Antalya-Malmö/sturup and Copenhagen-Mallorca but in winter time he flyes Thailand, but i dont remember if its from Denmark or sweden he flyes to Asia :-)

@Mrsnail99 then why is the airplane registration OY-VKM ? The OY registration is from Denmark. Thomas Cook scandinavia is a danish based airline operating from all over scandinavia.

@SWE370 Thomas Cook Airline Scandinavia is from Denmark
@LordFabs11 жыл бұрын
True, only because this particular plane has an inertial variometer. In small aircraft a cross-check is typical, and before calling positive rate you should check that your altimetre is indicating a climb.

***** positive climb/rate mean the aircraft is achieve lift and the V/S showing a positive climb rate so it safe to bring the gears up, cause you can make the aircraft nose up but with out lifting off the ground and the V/S should show 0 climb rate

0:45 - I regret not taking my chance to become an airline pilot (i had the chance) but i cannot just live cheap and on debts - since airlines don't pay that much (at least not in my country) and i will wait for a long time to get a cleared vacancy (employed) paying for another new type rating will cost me dozens of $s - not to mention that airlines are managed by the nasty-est people on earth! i will pay for my training. flying is fun, but there will always be the good, the bad, and the ugly.
@Poultusspare12 жыл бұрын
