I hadn't heard Aliens Ate My Buick in 25yrs and I was in a "record" store and I heard those first chords of "Budapest"-and started crying. I ran up to the cashier and she said it just came in, in the used cds, she had no idea what it was, and stuck it in. It's in my car!

One of the coolest songs I’ve ever heard. I listened to AAMB countless times in the late 80’s. TD did a great job playing the guitar solo part, but the actual solo is super wicked.

I used to do a lot of sequencing back in the early 90's..Wasn't able to pursue my music career and lost touch with technology.. But for the life of me I can't understand how TD does these performances. It's incredible.. He's always been a unique artist... A genius for sure..

Usually, I get disappointed by "remakes", even if those remakes are performed by the original artist. Remember Eagles Hotel California. They reunited and changed that famous guitar solo at the end. Ruined the whole song for me. Budapest by Blimp was one of my favorite songs. It was so dreamy. Many of his songs are dreamy. That's what I always like about Thomas Dolby. I started listening to this version and at first, I had some doubts, but the more I listened the more I liked it. Great performance.
