Yeah Right you mean the greatest hypocrite whoever was president a backstabber a racist a white supremacist a rapist a pedophile a coward who ran from the British and hid in France why real men like Washington and Hamilton almost died in the trench why Jefferson was off getting high with the French I used to love Jefferson I've been to Monticello four times but the more I read on him and learn about him including reading his own words the man was a creepy brutal hypocrite and they do not whitewash the man no more at Monticello they tell it like it was and it was not good Hamilton was ten times the man Jefferson was or ever would be he is on his way to be thrown to the trash heap of history where he belongs !!!!

As an editorial on thelandscapeoftruth.com says, the importance of Monticello is that it captures the vision of the founders for America. It also captures how America struggled to live up to its standards. The editorial is good: it basically indicates that we must learn from Jefferson's mistakes because we commit the same error in not seeking the advancement of people who we disagree with. That's the path forward for democracy.

Monticello is a beautiful place and I enjoyed touring it and the surrounding area. It is besmirched by slavery.

...and how so did he fail at life? By whose definition? If you're an American, you owe the existence of this country in its current state due to Mr. Jefferson's labors. What an arrogant person you are in making such a statement about Mr. Jefferson.

@@bradufer580 , The definition of ignorance is something you don't know, this is what I do know Africans was brought to the America's and built the country and many of those plantations was built by force....It's Recompence time and America will pay for what they've done, it's just getting started carona19 and the plagues and the pestilence will not end until we have the spoils....Be Blessed....
