I've been watching this dude more and more over the year and I don't understand how he gets any thumbs down on his videos. He is the most versatile drummer that I've come across so far. He doesn't chop you to death like many drummers today. He appears to be totally well rounded. But that's just my opinion.

Hi Leigh, It's a similar stack: 12: trash splash on the bottom and my 12" Filter china on top. It's a little "sweeter" than the 15" version. More of a quickly decaying high-pitched "slush" after the initial trashy "pang"...Sweeeet!

No, it is the the Meinl 22" Stadium Ride. It has an enormous bell and is extremely versatile. It's dry but warm with a lot of low end and plenty of ping. It's a great all-around Rock-ride.

Awesome drumming Thomas. I know this is off topic, but how is the durability of meinl cymbals? I know you use large sticks and i just wanted to know if having a heavier larger sticks is more damaging to a cymbal?

NO. I have Paiste signature, and Sabian Paragons (higher-end cymbals). I play with the largest sticks I've ever come across: maple Firth Highlander HS2 pipe band sticks (as in marching band, bagpipes). Very light and powerful. In 8 years, I've never even broken a head, much less a cymbal. I like Remo coated Ambassadors on my Sakae pac-D, and black dots on my Vistalite. Use your fuzzy things (fealties), what's the problem? I don't like hickory, too heavy. Pointlessly heavy. NEVER brag about destroying something. That's just moronic. It's like crashing a Ferarri. It generally means you don't know how to drive.
