One of our friends whom we consider family. He’s a marine and a police office videoed my parents home yesterday while playing this song and visiting my momma aka “Mamaw”. We lost my sweet daddy to Covid so it’s just Mamaw now. This is her also to a T minus the cigarettes. Lol. She’s the best and she is 78 years old.

Mine was also to a T minus the cigarettes. My Mamaw was a good Holiness woman. I would stay weeks with her out of the summer. She lived 2 &1/2 hours away. I never wanted to leave. She cooked me breakfast lunch and dinner. I helped in her garden and ate from her different fruit trees, fetched canned goods out of her cellar for her(dodging all the slugs and spiders). My Mamaw died when I was 19, I’m 36 now!😢 awesome song!

This song is so bittersweet. My Mammaw went to heaven after 101 years. This song reminds me of walking the train tracks by her house with my cousins every Spring. She made the best strawberry preserves and biscuits that you’ll ever eat. She loved the Lord and was a cornerstone of her small town. Just lost my Mamaw in December, she was 93 and the most amazing soul that ever walked this earth.. she iss dearly missed and was so dearly loved! Green glass pitcher of sweet tea.. Her swing was under the grape vines. We sat and ate grapes on the swing. Thousands of concord grapes above our heads. On the other side was my sandbox she made out of wood herself. It had a cover to keep the cats out. As she reminded me to always cover it and tell me to keep the cats out. 😅 Gosh, I miss her. Awww this just straight up made me cry for my daughter... Her Mamaw, my stepmom, passed when she was only 2 years old, but they were sooooo close! Her and Mamaw were something else together. This fits Mamaw Dot to a T. Dot passed away and my poor baby girl saw the EMS people work to try to save her, but they couldn't. I don't know who it hurt worse, my girl or the EMS folks. But Mamaw Dot is still with her all the time, and she lets us know. ❤ My daughter is now a teenager and thankfully has memories of Mamaw, especially their little tickle game called Boogie Bug. Heartwarming story: 2 weeks after Dot passed, I was holding my girl to go to sleep. She started giggling and squirming and said "Mamaw!!! Booooogieeeee bug!!!" I said "What are you doing?" She replied "Mamaw doin' boogie bug! She get me! See her?" I bawled and just giggled with her and said "Yes, Mamaw loves you no matter which side of Heaven she is on."

I was lucky. I had 2 great Grandmother's, one great Grandpa, and 2 sets of Grandparent's. We lived a charmed life, we were very lucky to have them. They have all been gone many years now. 😥Except for the cigarettes, this song is spot on. Mammaw's house was a very special place to be. I miss them all so much. ❤

I love this song so very much! This is my mawmaw's house, except my pawpaw smoked the Marlboro Reds. She is 91 and I love going to her house every time I'm home and talking on the phone during the week. She had a huge garden to the shelling peas and beans is definitely a core memory. Every single time I listen to it I get teary eyed. Great song guys!

My Grandma was born in 1896. The were in a rural community where they raised chickens and had a huge garden that had us placing vegetables in a cellar. I helped as we canned all things. Neighbors helped neighbors with crops while the ladies put together a lunch to die for. Ahhhh those memories. She sent me her box of goodies while i was overseas serving. Man it was great
