it's cuz he likes to switch things up when he sings, Thomas tries to sing it how he would sing it, I think that's what makes his voice unique, and plus he said in one of his videos that if he had to sing a high note and his voic3 was weak, it would Crack , so I'm pretty sure he was trying to make his voice feel comfortable, if u know what I mean.
