Goddammit... I just watched this movie & my heart is IN PIECES 💔😭😭😭 I deeply resent Tom (ofc not really!) calling it "the twin sister of Pan's Labyrinth" (by the same director), cos it meant I was NOT prepared for the ending. Pan's Labyrinth is dark; the cutesy title is misleading, but there's at least _some_ redemption at the end; it's not just pure, abject heartbreak like this 😭
