I am a 50 year old white woman and I know what a hot comb is and why it was used. I lived in the projects till I was in 7th grade and saw alot of my black friends get their hair done with it. The Curling iron was the white girl's hot comb back in the day but not that bad.

I have been saying for years that America is not a racist nation, it's a culturalist (new word🤣) nation. We have sooooo many cultures here, and it is so diverse and beautiful, but you can't expect all of these cultures to meld with each other without tension and misunderstanding... so the easiest thing to go to is what we SEE... oh he back, or oh he is Asian, or oh he white so I sent like them when that really isn't the truth. I'm a 45 year old white dude from Texas, I have "racist" family members, but they accept any one (no matter the color) that shares their views or just got the same vibe as they do. This racism shit is slowly going away, thank you God!
