I was in college back in the late 90s in NC. Dr. Sowell came to our campus to speak. I sat through that 3 hour lecture, and I have NEVER absorbed more information in a short period of time, before that, and or, since. He is such a brilliant mind.❤ He changed my mind on most things I believed. I have traveled and attended his lectures, 6 times since then. I have made my 4 teenagers read his books, "Economics Facts and Fallacies", "Intellectuals and Society", and "Knowledge and Decisions". My kids earn money, when they read books and then can discuss and debate. What a brilliant man and mind!

He's 93 now, and we won't have him for much longer. It will change your life. He changed mine. He is the number 1 economist of our time, in my opinion.

@skeletalremains3860 My husband actually came up with the idea. We have 3 teenage boys and 1 teenage girl. They all play sports, and 2 needed a little initiative to stay engaged in the academic side of things. Listening to them all engaged and debating their different points of view has been the best bonus that I never expected. We learn more about them and the way their mind works every single time.❤️. We lay in bed sometimes after a discussion/debate and are blown away because of the way they looked at a topic that we had never thought about.

I remember watching him as a kid (he has 17 years on me) on the old Bill a Buckley show “Firing Line.” Read everything he wrote since then. A class act and young blacks should be mad the race baiters keep them away from his wisdom. Economist, author of DOZENS of books, Marine, sharpshooter, photographer, professor, raised during Jim Crow and SUCCEEDED. A great bio to emulate.

I totally hated what I heard from his mouth, the first time i ever watched a video of him in 2019. Thank God, I followed the rule I set at 14, that I will never agree or disagree with anything I don't understand. So, I bought the book he was promoting; "Wealth, Poverty and Politics". I started reading after 6 months, and I have not stopped 21 books in. Currently, I have 3 titles unread on my table. Dr. Thomass Sowell is going to be 94 in 3 days. We need to honor him for the great works of education that he brought to us.

Sowell remained a Marxist even after studying with Friedman... until he got a job for the Department of Labor, and discovered that minimum wage laws led to reduced employment, and took this information to his bosses, who told him to keep his mouth shut, or else they'd all lose their jobs. That's when he became a conservative, when he realized the government bureaucrats don't serve the people, only themselves.
