It is tragic that America possesses one of the greatest philosophers, economists, sociologists and researchers of all historical time, and he is so largely ignored. Sadder still, is that he was a Harlem raised black American and so few African Americans know little about him. This man should have statues, schools, scholorships and roads named after him.

I agree and it's unfortunate that Dr. Sowell's messages and ideas aren't currently prevalent today. It's hard to point out what the reasons are and I hate to assume what they are, but my guess is because his message of self-sufficiency, thinking on your own, using and understanding hard facts isn't popular among the mass media nor does it appeal to young people today. If there's one good thing I've got out of KZbin, it's my recent discovery of Dr. Sowell and others who fall in his class of intellectual mavericks.

They'd just tear those statues down too because he supported "Whyte Supremacy"....ahhhhhh, no, he realized one he got away from the pointy headed Marxists (he was one, an intellectually honest one) in academia that Western Culture IS better and Socialism/Communism/Marxism doesn't work.

I wish the youtube algorithm would push this all the way to the top so that everyone in the United States could see how prophetic this man was and is. I would love to see him debate Jesse Jackson, or Angela Rye, or Al Sharpton, or even Maxine Waters; unfortunately, I doubt any of them would agree to it because he would very simply and easily prove statistically how their race-baiting has not helped the black community, and how simply self-serving their efforts really are. The jig would be up and they would only end up looking more the fools that they are.

"The full speech has never been heard before" What an outright lie. Was the hotel empty when he gave the speech and that was a laugh track instead of a real audience? Was Sowell not listening to himself while giving it? I like that you uploaded some decent Sowell content, but what's the purpose in stating something that is clearly untrue? I saw this channel as somewhat respectable with good content... but stuff like that flat-out lie in the description makes you guys look silly. It's not even a good lie as it's obviously untrue... so what was the point? Please don't do stuff like this again; Just be honest.
