I grew up with Thomas with the cgi series but I do watch the older series and I went to day out with Thomas from 2009 to 2016 and had a blast

Well done sir! I grew up on the "original" series when they used actual scale models. It's just like the original!

Very nice! I’m working on converting all my Thomas locomotives to DCC and sound and your other video helped so much! I hope your daughter has a lot of fun with this!

What was the decoder used? I am in the design process of building as much of the island of Sodor as I can fit in a small space for my son but use mostly DC equipment. I have yet to convert to DCC but am working on making a dual control layout.

Thanks, Robert. I put a Loksound 5 DCC micro with a sugar cube speaker and ESU Power Pack. I have another video on my channel which explains it. I also added front and rear LED lights.

Splendid dcc version you have there, my nephew would lose his mind seeing it. How hard was it to add a light and replace the dud headlamp? Thank you.

Thanks, Elias. Overall on a scale of 1 - 10 with 1 being easy and 10 being hard, it was about an 8. The hardest part was getting the wires run from the decoder to the headlamp because there was no where to conceal them. Thankfully the Rapido LEDs I used had super fine wires that allowed me to run under the frame and up through the shell to the housing. The second issue was addressing the shine through from the LED. I engineered a case to cover the rear of the housing because it was not directing the light to the front of the housing.

@@ck7813I saw this a year ago and I can't believe I forgot to reply and say thank you. I just so happened to be browsing and found this video again through the youtube loophole lol. Thanks again.
