Ok so, about the Thomas unit, they didn't even have to rebuild it, they could of done what six flags and drayton manor did, use the thomas unit that they used, it would of been MUCH easier.

Gavin Pethtel I hope your mom gets well soon do you can go. But I've heard the train derailed multiple times and is shut down as of now. Might be open next week but make sure if that's the main reason of going make sure kennywood has it open. Which I would think it would be back open next week.

Why have the done Thomas himself so poorly? Not only is he too big, his wheels are fake and don't even move! The wheels are so big that the person driving is standing in them! If they're going to do a diesel replica, do it right like Drayton Manor!

Wait they shut it down?? I remember hearing about the derailment but I didn't know it got shut down completely. I remember thinking that it was gonna derail because of the tight turns it had to go around. They should've just bought an actual steam locomotive to dress as Thomas instead of a diesel.

I REALLY THINK KENNY WOOD DID A GREAT THING WITH THIS 'THOMAS' THE TRAIN PARK . IT LOOKS GREAT. I WAS DISAPPOINTED TO SEE THE OLD KENNY WOOD ' HOOTIN HOLLER' RAILROAD GONE, BUT TIMES HAVE CHANGED. I WAS ALSO DISAPPOINTED TO SEE THE THOMAS ENGINE PULLING THE TRAIN, BUT THE WHEELS DON'T RIDE ON THE RAILS LIKE A STEAM ENGINE SHOULD. Where are the Native American mannequins shooting at British Soldier mannequins that were there when I was a kid in the 1960’s (as an historical homage since the French and Indian War battle at Braddock occurred just across the river)? Just think how much money the park owners had to pay to get the right to use this tacky Thomas the Train theming. The quiet train ride with clickety clack of the track while riding the Gimbels cars were nice (and yet one more thing lost). This music would make the riders want to jump off the train and plummet off the cliff into the Mon.
