I’ve seen a couple of designs like this and love them. One thing i have incorporated into my design is an additional cross brace. Everyone uses a single cross brace but by adding a second brace, I can put a piece of plywood on the bottom as temporary storage for tools/small parts that I’m working with during my projects and not clutter up the top of the table.

@@Tadjourahurther more, you can widen the holding braces that go on the wall, so as to accommodate the lower plywood piece, the the rest of the table as shown here, all in one spot.

One suggestion to reduce the wobbles common on this type of fold-up bench with an unsecured cross brace is to put a threaded insert into each end of the cross brace and a hole in the bottom leg brace that lined up with the insert so that a bolt with a washer will go through the leg brace and screw into the insert. A knob on the end of the bolt would make it easy to tighten by hand. As suggested in another comment, add a second cross brace and lay a piece of plywood over the cross braces will you get some temporary shelf space is a great idea. Plus a second cross piece with the same threaded insert in the ends of the cross brace and bolts through the leg brace would lock the base together so firmly there would be little or no wrack to the workbench. The negative is that it would add another minute to set up and take down times.

A brilliant design, but I would improve a couple things. Namely, spring loaded locking pegs for the legs instead of the cross bar, and also make the bench long enough to accommodate traditional casters instead of the side mounted ones that would buckle under heavy loads over time.

If my ladder is in the way, I do something else. All joking aside, gorgeous idea, great craftsmanship, but you can’t use it in under a few minutes, assuming you put nothing in front of it you have to move (big workbench shaped spots get filled quickly in my shop) I guess I just don’t see the overall point unless you don’t need it that often, if that’s it, but a folding table for $50

With the 2 black bolts at the top, could you not have used the table legs support beam, the one you put and rest on the top of the table, after putting the table on the wall ? Use the support beam in a way to hold the table onto the wall, seeing as it is wide and would require a few wooden twist wedges to hold the beam. Just seems 2 little bolts are not strong enough and the weight of the table will pull them off the wall
