Glycine 3 grams. That's it! And just have one strong coffee in the morning for the entirety of the day because caffeine has a long half life and the older you are the more it will mess with your sleep and as you age the less you will be able to tolerate it. Those are actually scientific facts. Young people get addicted to caffeine all day because they can tolerate it but then it causes so much anxiety, anger and so forth.

I’m so happy these things are being discussed. I did research on antiglycation processes using the amyloid and tau protein model. I also wanted state that CSF flow and glymphatic systems were well recognized in the specialty of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine for well over 3-4 decades as the techniques used were dependent on this anatomical and physiological models of brain and spinal cord structure and function relationships. At a conference in 2017, the researcher presented his work at our conference since it was a natural home for the application of glymphatic research. On another front, our societal systems of work and career, are absolutely oppositional for sleep hygiene. What hasn’t been discussed is the way to approach sleeping appropriately when there are no limits on work or shift variation, etc. solutions are not effective if they are not applicable.

@@descai10 I see. I’ve had that problem, especially when I was completely in charge of my own schedule. I recommend going to bed at a regular time and reading in bed until you’re drowsy. And I’ve also had luck with setting an alarm at the desired wake time. When it goes off, turn on a light for 5 minutes, preferably incandescent not LED. Then go back to sleep if you feel like it and wake up when you wake up. The idea is light makes your circadian rhythm change to that “start of day”. Natural light outdoors is even better. I found myself getting sleepy early when I did that. Also, avoiding exercise and bright lights in the evening is a good idea.

@@zahraelhatt6657 Keep in mind that taurine is not included in energy drinks as an excitatory ingredient. Instead, it’s there to counteract the overstimulating effect of an overly caffeinated beverage. Its pro-performance benefits aren’t from “that” type of energy-instead, the benefits derive from its ability to support healthy mitochondrial function and cardiovascular circulation. So no, taurine is not a stimulant. A lot of people turn to taurine for its mood-relaxing or cognition-supporting properties. It can even and should be taken before bedtime to promote restful sleep. Consider taking half of your daily dose for daytime focus support and the other half at night when it’s time to wind down.

Split phase sleep, the historical record and research indicate we are actually biologically evolve to do split-faced sleep, 4 hours, up for half an hour to an hour and then another 4 hours. BBC has done several programs on this and there are other sources as well. So the question is "some people may worry that they wake up in the middle of the night and then go back to sleep again, so are some sleep researchers treating this as if it's detrimental, instead of how we're supposed to sleep?

Zinc is a crucial mineral that helps regulate sleep by stimulating adenosine release and producing neurotransmitters like dopamine, serotonin, melatonin, and glutamate. Throughout the day, adenosine levels increase in the brain, leading to the initiation of sleepiness. Zinc is crucial in regulating adenosine metabolism and subsequently helps to improve sleep quality.

adrenerg imbalance. your body, and deep mind, do not know anymore what real stress is, and now freaking out on the leaf falling from the tree. Also called wrong set points, or reference points. Brain is freaking ou because it does not know how to focus. Focusing and relaxing are blurring, and now you can not do any of those. Highly recommended: isometric exercises with a balance element, breathing exercises, and acupuncture and/or acupressure, meditation. And I could bet that your nutrition is not suitable for your body either. Likely that is all new to you. There are a lot of small tricks to get rid of adrenerg blockages. I was happy to find a yoga instructor covering breathing exercises and balance exercises. search google for "jason yoga warrior 3 warrior-iii-yoga-sequence", first hit, then work until you can hold warriror 3 pose for 60 secnd in good form. This will teach your brain to focus

Initially magnesium glycinate will help you sleep if your blood lacks minerals. However, over time it will have an opposite effect. I experienced it my self. Magnesium is catabolic meaning it pushes the body to breakdown things and produce energy which happens naturally during the day. You don"t want to trigger catabolic effect before sleeping it will mess up your sleep cycle. What helps me now to go to sleep are supplements that promote anabolic effect w/c is the opposite of catabolic. Here are what became effective for me after magnesium glycinate stopped working directly for my sleep. 1. L-Theanine 2. Potassium Chloride 3. ACV Those are what I take before sleeping.

Mechanisms and Compounds Influencing Sleep Quality 🧠 The glymphatic system in the brain plays a crucial role in detoxifying and releasing waste during sleep. 💤 The hypothesis that amalo was the cause of Alzheimer's has been derailed due to forged research, revealing it as a response to brain inflammation and stress instead. 🔬 The concept of "inter Kingdom cross talk" reveals that our gut bacteria, viruses, and fungi are constantly communicating with our cells, influencing our health in unique ways. ⚡️ "Melatonin produced in our mitochondria is one of the most powerful antioxidants that combats oxidative stress." 🍄 "Agarin, derived from a psychedelic mushroom, acts as a long-acting GABA agonist, potentially offering a better alternative to traditional GABA supplements." 🍄 "Agarin from the Amanita muscaria mushroom enhances GABA receptor binding without depleting GABA levels, unlike other sleep formulas." The Role of Neurotransmitters in Sleep Regulation 🧬 Adenosine builds up during the day, creating the sleep pressure necessary for deep sleep, which declines as we age. 🍄 "Agarin, a unique compound from mushrooms, helps you stay asleep and prevents waking up in the middle of the night." 🧪 "People often do much better with a synergistic low dose approach to sleep aids, rather than a one-size-fits-all solution." 😴 A deficiency in Gaba can lead to insomnia, depression, and anxiety, highlighting its crucial role in regulating mood and sleep. 🌙 Supporting the GABA system is crucial for enhancing sleep cycles, even more so than melatonin or serotonin. 💡 Enhancing GABA tone in a supportive way is crucial to avoid the dangers of abrupt withdrawal from substances like benzodiazepines. Impact of Lifestyle Choices on Sleep Health ⚠️ "Just one night of poor sleep can elevate stress hormones, depress the immune system, and disrupt mood and energy levels." 📱 Getting off screens at night is crucial for improving sleep quality, but using filters or blue blockers can also help.

Some people mentioning in the comment s"nothing new here", or even worse, yet I don't think so. Of course the whole channel is a science-augmeted infomercial. Nothing wrong with that if the info is proper, which is almost always the case (exception: the lies around C15). Here, there were some startup issues, until Dr.Sherr found his focus, but it was interesting then, eg. around @12:00... The shift in perspective is nice there, describing the wake phase radically as the purpose for the sleep and rest. The old Egyptians would fully agree !! as they placed thir spiritual emphasis on sleep and the underworld... also the pieces about agarin and cordyceps, good story...

Can you take adenosine for sleep? Adenosine has long been known to induce sleep via adenosine receptors. Although adenosine A receptor agonists strongly induce sleep, they can have strong adverse effects, namely cardiovascular effects, that preclude their use as a viable treatment option for sleep disordershhhhhhhhhhhhAdenosine increases during exercise as ATP is consumed for energy. This may contribute to the feeling of sleepiness after physical exertion. So if you have trouble falling asleep and want to increase adenosine, some researchers recommend a trip to the gym.....Does coffee increase adenosine levels? The levels of cortical and striatal At adenosine receptors are increased by 15-20% by chronic caffeine, while the level of striatal A2a-adenosine receptors is unaltered.......A short nap may help clear out adenosine, reducing sleepiness. While caffeine is believed to compete with adenosine, taking its place and blocking it from making you feel sleepy....How long does it take to reset adenosine receptors? The changes in receptors reverse after withdrawal of caffeine within 7 days.......Why should you wait 90 minutes before drinking coffee? Waiting 90 minutes after waking up allows adenosine levels to rise slightly, making caffeine more effective at blocking receptors and keeping us alert throughout the day. Accordingly, to Huberman, that's the key to its method: you need to let some adenosine fix itself on receptors before you consume coffee.Sep 8, 2023.......How to increase sleep pressure? Module 2. Sleep Pressure: Homeostatic Sleep Drive | NIOSH | CDC Also, cognitively stimulating or demanding experiences (such as sightseeing) and physically demanding experiences could increase sleep pressure further. As a result, our sleep may be longer and deeper after those experiences.Mar 31, 2020.......Do cold showers affect adenosine? Cold exposure increased noradrenaline concentrations and decreased the density of A2AR available for radioligand binding in BAT, suggesting augmented release of endogenous adenosine........Due to its similar structure, caffeine binds to the adenosine receptors. Caffeine therefore, not only blocks adenosine's ability to slow nerve activityæææææDoes sleep get rid of adenosine? With prolonged wakefulness brain adenosine levels rise, while sleep brings adenosine levels back to normal. mmmmWhy you shouldn't drink coffee first thing in the morning? Indeed, according to experts, drinking coffee on an empty stomach right after waking up can interfere with your cortisol levels and actually leave you feeling even more tired later on in the day.Aug 14, 2023mmmmmmWhat foods increase adenosine? Adenosine: Sleep, Receptors, Effects + 3 Ways to Increase ...What foods are high in adenosine? Adenosine Benefits, Foods, Supplements and Side Effects - Dr. Axe Grass-fed meat, pastured poultry and organ meats, such as liver or kidneys. Wild-caught fish a Following a high-fat low-carb (ketogenic) diet can increase adenosine levels. TtttttttWhile you sleep, the brain converts adenosine back into ATP, essentially eliminating your sleep drive.

You'd have to dig up the study they're referring to. My understanding is that it was a study that showed a correlation between sleeping more than 8 hr per night and increased risk to mortality. I'd be hesitant to jump to the assumption that excess sleep CAUSES earlier mortality. More than likely a matter of correlation being mistaken for causation.

BS for some people. This guy contradicts himself by saying our biologies are all different but then the video title makes a very concrete statement. I've worked with the whole cocktail of common sleep aids. Nothing outperforms the combo of melatonin and magnesium for me. Glycine helps but not as much as melatonin and magnesium. Especially being topped off on magnesium by early evening by taking magnesium throughout the day
