I was 211 in September. I’m now 134lbs and have been for a month and started the gym journey this week! I lost it so fast people thought I got sick and it was annoying to see people. Just keto and IF was all I did. Kicking alcohol was the big one!

This has been a great journey for me. I started my 113lbs weight loss over 4 years. I lost the biggest portion of the weight the first year. Got fat adapted with keto and fasting. Slowly incorporated working out. Learned this is something I have to decide to do every day to keep the weight off and keep going. You fall off the wagon, get up and get back on. It's definitely a mental battle you have to win.

Walking has been instrumental in me maintaining a 160 lb weight loss for 30 years. Social eating is difficult because I work nights and everyone wants to feed me. I usually make sure they see me eat something I bring from home so I can say "thank you but I already ate" sometimes I eat what they prepare too😂 life's about balance. Don't make it feel like a 2nd job make it feel natural

The best lifestyle change for me was changing my palate and IF. Over a 10. Week diet, I cut processed foods, sugars, ate whole 30 then COULD NOT go back. I remember treating myself to a Poptart. I got Sick, 🤢 tasted and made me feel terrible. The hard part is Quarantine, Permanente full time telework seriously reduced my daily activity. I have a little more weight, not bad but this sedentary lifestyle takes its toll. I exercise 1HR everyday but it doesn’t make up for the extra steps from being at the office.

it shouldn't be a diet, it should be a conscious effort to eat healthy in a restricted time frame( 10-5 ?). Sticking to it, knowing there will be days you will eat off schedule, or consume something less healthy (that piece of Birthday cake, more than 1 glass of wine etc.) will be ok if it's followed by many days of your new usual routine.

@@tonygicz8 yep I love food and the holidays are tough to keep your self on track. I bartered with myself, seconds on stuffing and then no potato. Only one piece of pie instead of two and skip all the snacks laying around. I stopped loosing weight when my activity slackened during this time, and now spring is here and I'll be getting back outside which is the best way to get back on track for me ( i hate gyms).

I used keto and alternate day fasts 42/6 for the last 3 yrs, going from 585 to 180 in this time . I used approx. 7000 -8000 cal a week from whole foods and suppliments. I walk 15000 steps a day and use resistance bands. At 65 yrs old ,i feel i will never go back to eating the way i did for my whole life .I have been at or below 180 for 6 months time and see no inclination of weight creep.. My diabetes went away and my blood # are excellent according to my doctor visit in Jan . I listen to everything you put out along w/ a few others . you have helped me gain control of myself , Thank you.

I'm 128 kilos and I'm on a 1500-1600 calorie nutritive keto diet plus OMAD. I eat only high quality meat and whole foods. I have lost 24 kilos in 10 weeks. I am supplementing Vitamin D, K, B1, B6, Colostrum, ALA, Electrolytes and Probiotics. Apart from lacking a bit of zing in my energy I am fine. I work 38 hours a week in a supermarket and walk over 100,000 steps a week.

Here's my take based on this video and personal knowledge: -better sourced and healthier food -consume more protein and fiber, basically trying our best to fulfill the variety of nutrients the body needs -keep up a consistent proper resistance+cardio workout every week (even if only once but keep it relatively demanding for our bodies) -try to use the knowledge of how glucose/insulin level works into our life, for example controlling glucose spike at nighttime would be tremendous -from the mental aspect, try our best to lower stress levels and take rest/sleep very seriously -fasting, you should know this already.I personally take prolonged fasting (2-3 days) twice or more every month I'd say losing my weight/fat was the easy part, but the life-changing moment was when I really gradually started changing my overall lifestyle. I realize now my biggest barrier was 'not wanting too much change'. But when we start to open and embrace the new lifestyle and mindset, that's when we can keep the sustainable way of keeping a healthier body and thus maintaining our body weight/fat levels. Always learn more, crosscheck new info/findings, and embrace the permanent change. Doesn't have to be super strict, remember that sustainability is key.

This is a journey not a race. The number one indicator that things are going in the right direction is the feeling that you had when you were in your twenties. This will be more understandable when you get there, blood work is critical to know what you are lacking. For me supplementing magnesium, d3/k2, vitamin B, trace minerals, DHEA and Niacin have been a game changer. Gut health, cutting seed oils, processed foods, and sugars outside of berries. Will get you on that path. I need zero meds, I have zero injuries right now, and workout five days a week. You can also get a great workout simply with an empty barbell, doing front/back squats, bicep curls, upright rows, then a banded face pulls, lunges and pushups. I do this on rest days trying to get 5-6 rounds for a great pump - 40 seconds on each, 20 second rest.

I find it disturbing when people come on pushing "enough" fiber or lowering cholesterol. PS: This is especially true when the "remedy" is said to be refined carbs. PPS: Add to that the concept of a "balanced" diet.

Does hydrating the day before a full body routine, high reps for an hour burn more fat than drinking water throughout an above routine. Reason being to feel the heat building inside a routine then to take water is this cooling the fat burners? In my guess if I didn't take water in the routine but the day before is more thermo genesis more at work. Or am I completely out of whack;) From Craig. GBR.

Generally, your metabolism is higher during midday when your body is expecting the largest amount of calories in your daily intake so it's a bad idea to eat late in the evening because it's slowed down and you burn less. A good habit I usually stick with is I never eat after 8pm as it usually takes about 4 hours for an average adult to digest a meal so by midnight I expect to be fasted or close to fasted when I go to bed.

All my life I've been slim - except for a few years after pregancy when I was 63kgs - at 5'1 - but now I've lost it and am really trying to keep it off - I guess with a small body frame I'm aiming for 39kgs but have still got a way to go.... How can this be maintained.... More importantly - I lost weight, with fasting, only through health concerns but now I just like it!! How will I know I have more brown fat, healthy & strong heart, what signs will lmy body give me? I am 50! Thanks x
