Very beautiful playing, and Mendelssohn himself would have approved of Mr. Schütz using the sheet music as he did not like musicians performing from memory. Very good tempo in the first movement which often is spoiled by a tempo much faster than Allegro.

@annapavfan46805 жыл бұрын
@@tomtashakinko6791 Sorry but just because someone else prefers a different rendition of a piece doesnt mean they have no knowledge of the flute. Jasmine had it all, DYNAMIC RANGE, delicacy, wonderful phrasing, power, projection and balance with the orchestra, and wonderful musicianship. This performance was excellent if it were written in FF the entire the way, but it's not. The low notes were just too loud on some of the mellow parts(very high school like). Just fingers to me.

Mendelssohn did not approve of performing from memory. Once, when he was performing himself he had forgotten his sheet music and borrowed something else to put on the piano in order that the audience could not see he was performing from memory. Chopin did not like it either.

The version heard here is a very close approximation of the original violin version, which the composer wrote out every single note.

lol, do you know this piece at ALL? He literally just played exactly what was written. It is not an improvised cadenza, Mendelssohn literally wrote every note. Try again.

Not very professional the fact that he did not even memorise the score. For a concerto that should be basic, hence may have affected his projection!
