Do you put inner tubes in your mower tires? If so, do they last a long time?

Try a dish soap and water mixture, take a cloth and wipe the mixture on the tire itself, helps the inner tube slide in easier and also makes it easier to pop back on the bead, I'm still looking for ways to make it easier, those small tires don't give much! Great video👍

I purchased the 2019 model at my local TSC and because my Daughter worked there at the time I as her Parent also received her employee discount which saved me several hundred dollars as I also bought a trailer to haul it around. The seat had a small tear in it so they sent me another seat. I owned the machine for only 1 week and one of the front tires kept going flat so they sent me a new tire mounted on a wheel. I let my local tire shop put a tube in and I repaired the original seat so now I have a spare tire and a spare seat. I love TSC and my Cub Cadet
@MarkThomasBuilder2 жыл бұрын
That's great to hear. I have a TSC by me and I always check out their Cub Cadet inventory. They stocked the ZT2 back in 2019, which looked like a nice mower too.

Thanks for the video. I found that a spray silicone lubricant seems to make it easier for the tube to go in and seat properly.

How do you know it seats properly if you can't see inside the tyre? XRay vision?

Thanks for posting, very helpful. Here's something to know, Dawn dishwashing soap made for a nice slippery way for me to get the tube in the tire.

Thanks for this! My first flat on my mower and I didn’t notice it until my buddy pointed it out prior to us getting started. And I was wondering why it was sliding oddly as I was loading it on the trailer.
@MarkThomasBuilder2 жыл бұрын
It's interesting on a zero turn how a flat front tire isn't always noticeable right away. Hope this video helps you get it fixed.

How have the tire tubes been holding up.. they yiu recommend the ones from Amazon?
@MarkThomasBuilder Жыл бұрын
The tire tubes are still going strong. I'm glad I put them in.
@BuckMeister. Жыл бұрын
One thing that might help getting the inner tube in is like on a bicycle is to put talcum powder on the tube.
@MarkThomasBuilder Жыл бұрын
Never thought of that. Thanks for the suggestion!
@johncoleman19355 ай бұрын
That's we usually do for motorcycle tubes. Put a little air in and bounce it a little. Supposed to even the tube in the tire, then top it off .

Any idea where I can find a service manual? Would love to get torque specs for the wheels and mower blade
@MarkThomasBuilder Жыл бұрын
Yes, on the Cub Cadet website, they have several manuals available for each mower. Just look for the page with your mower and you'll see the manuals there.

What are the air pressure for the tires? 10 Psi on rear and 20 Psi on front.?
@PinePondCTDevilsHopyard-fy3hj7 ай бұрын
Probably best to check in the owners manual. Manufacturers may have different levels.

catch a flat just use a tire plug, quick and simple
@MarkThomasBuilder4 ай бұрын
Yes, a tire plug works well on the back tires if it's on the tread. The front wheels normally leak around the rim, in my experience.
@markrussell13904 ай бұрын
@MarkThomasBuilder I just plugged a front tire yesterday on the side wall. It's not a lot of pressure on it like a car so it works well. also dipped the plug in liquid cement recommended by a guy who works at a tire shop.

@nunyabusiness76306 ай бұрын
Tubes suck, because when you get another leak you have to buy a new tube plus labor to install. Do it yourself and pinch the tube while installing.......back to square one.
@MarkThomasBuilder6 ай бұрын
I wish they made a solid tire that doesn't require maintenance. So far, the tube has held air since making the video.
