The new ones with telescoping handles are complete junk. Bought 4 as Christmas gifts. I have one that was the button lock model that I purchase a couple of years ago - much better design. 2 of the telescoping ones that were purchased would not lock. 1 of them locked but stopped locking after the second time extended. The 4th one we didn't even bother to open from the box. All 4 going back to Snow Joe. The telescoping design is terrible. Bring back the locking buttons.

really want one of these. old carpenters on the job warned me about 28oz hammers causing elbow tendinitis and carpal tunnel. i didnt listen, i thought it would be a joke even if i did get it. as a concrete form carpenter i was smacking stuff all day with both arms for years. now i have carpal tunnel and tendinitis in both arms. it is no joke. deeply painful numb arms at night, no sleep, grip strength loss, numb hands for hours in the morning. ive never experienced a pain like it before, DEEP pain like my entire arm down to the bone marrow, while having pins and needles at the same time. i wouldnt wish it on anyone. i didnt know about titanium hammers at the time, no guarantee it would have helped but i wish i would have listened. since i moved on from formwork it hasnt been so severe but still anytime i use a hammer or my hands to hit something it triggers it for a few days or more, so its something that i have to live with now. im interested in trying a stiletto to see if it helps at all, even if it lessens further damage over time.

Been using this vac in the shop. Two things to note: 1)The hose it comes with is very rigid, does not flex well and makes for awkwardness. 2)There is a pinch hazard on the handles to open and close it - can really bite your fingers if you aren't careful. Other than that, it is powerful and wonderfully quiet.
@MarkThomasBuilder
@MarkThomasBuilder Күн бұрын
Those are some good points. I've been on the lookout for the ideal replacement hose for hooking up to my power tools. I'm guessing Festool is a good choice, but very expensive.

ive always been disappointed with the milwaukee speakers never being loud enough and very low quality bass you can never feel, yes they are perfect for electrical workers or finishing workers but for guys that work with loud power tools all the time they suck for instance, im an insulation instaler well net and blow houses all day long, the pneumatic guns are always loud and the hopper always makes tons of noise as well idc if the speaker overpowers the sounds we make at work but the second i go into a different room its almost as if i cant hear it anymore so yeah we need milwaukee to make a club level speaker for those who do want to hear it over noise and more than 100ft away maybe something to compete with the jbl 320 or slightly bigger
@MarkThomasBuilder
@MarkThomasBuilder 2 күн бұрын
I've always found that they have enough volume for me, but I've never thought about situations like you mentioned. If they never make one loud enough, the only solution would be to buy another speaker for the other room and connect them with the audio-link feature.

Why are all the new random orbital sanders from Milwaukee M12 instead of M18? The 6"'s are M12 but the 5"'s are M18. You would figure it would be the other way around. Doesnt make sense to me. Would you have any idea as to why?
@MarkThomasBuilder
@MarkThomasBuilder 2 күн бұрын
To the best of my knowledge, the M12 sanders are for auto body sanding. The M18s are for woodworking. Maybe auto body sanding is less demanding for the batteries.

According to me, and I’ve done a lot of research: this works just fine for most steels, and excellent if you tailor it. If you buy diamond belts, you’ll be squared away, if you take it as slow as you can. I’d say with power grinding you’re always going to be overheating and fatiguing SOME. I use mine to put on the first edge of knives I make. Convex at 15degrees, then 20 microbevel with an actually good abrasive

It's nice but each part is about $5-10 over what it's worth. I mean I get it.. Sunk cost fallacy doesn't allow them to upgrade the packout to a V2 & build in features every single other brand has, so now it's just mass produce plastic accessories & charge extra for what you never designed in the first place.

Nice video. I just bought me one from Home Depo, it was on sale for $120 off. Mine is supposed to 72x23. I’m gonna put mine in my garage and use it for stacking things underneath. I’m gonna place some 1x10, or 1x8, boards across the cross pieces at the bottom to increase the storage capacity. I’ll insert a piece of board under the center of the shelves, so they don’t sag from the weight. It’s being delivered tomorrow (12/19/24). Since I’m a one-legged man - an amputee above the knee, who works from a wheelchair most of the time, I’m looking forward to tackling this project. This is not the first one I’ve put together; I have a wider one in my shed. I'll be putting both a vise and a bench grinder on mine.
