Kamen Rider Saber and Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger are two of my favorite tokusatsu seasons EVER, so when I heard that they were getting their own crossover movie I was ecstatic! It took some time, but I've finally gotten around to watching one of my most anticipated tokusatsu movies, Saber + Zenkaiger: Super Hero Senki...did it live up to hype? Or are there more problems then excitements? Let's find out!

Just another missed opportunity in one of these crossover movies. Remember the second taisen movie. Where gavan was harassing haruto about magic? He could have went and harassed the magirangers too. He ain't the only magic hero!

I just love the lines Ichigo and Akaranger say when they say summon the other leaders. About how they are just the start and that the legacy of rider and sentai will continue on after them. And the scene where Hongo gets to reunite with Shotaro was so damn touching. Especially since they acknowledge that the original Ishinomori had long since passed away. The detail about how Shotaro's sister was very supportive of his career of drawing manga was also on point. And while I'm not that big on Saber I do think Touma was the most appropriate character to convince Shotaro to continue creating stories about heroes given that he's also an author. Fun fact, Kamen Rider Shin never moves once when he's on-screen. The scene where he's in the lineup with all the other riders is actually him being held up by a stand because his suit is so badly damaged that Toei didn't want to risk putting a suit actor in. Also I'm surprised you didn't mention the Zenkaigers finally using the Akibaranger gear. Officially acknowledging the unofficial Sentai team.

I think one of the best moments you didn't touch on was the Akibaranger scene. Was genuinely really surprising when the first movie leaks came out and it was really cool to actually see them be in a big crossover movie.

They even had an Akibaranger gear that made the enemies cringe themselves to death, that was the peak of the movie's fanservice for me lmao

The (kinda) plot-holes of the movie is an usual thing that happens in VS movies, especially when the movies aren't canon at all And the tribute to Ishinomori was really touching

I love when the teams meet back up Kamen Rider Zi-O and Kamen Rider Zero-One remember each other from their crossover because you can see them doing a bro fist and talking like "how've you been?"

I have a fun headcanon for the voices during the final fight scene They’re playing out the story of the book Super Hero Senki, which is written by Touma and Shotaro So I like to think that the two of them are narrating the voices of the Rangers and Riders as if reading the book out loud I swear there’s only two guys doing those voices anyway so there’s a decent chance I’m onto something haha

God I love this movie a lot. I mostly have a good memory with it since I watched it around my birthday and the OOO guy saying “Happy Birthday” in the Revice cameo was really wholesome. Also SPARK is just the perfect movie theme for a movie istg, been in love with the theme ever since I heard it.

No one gonna talk about how kuch of a boss sougo was in the movie? He showed up calls himself an overlord and then beats up the bad guys like the overlord he is.

Shame that Shin's suit was so damaged that he never appeared once after the introduction scene; so guess that means Shin will likely not appear for a while...until they make a new suit for him seeing as he is a primary legendary rider. Also, I wonder where he would be in the fight scene. I'm assuming with the other beast motif riders and sentai?

As much as I love this, but can we acknowledge that this movie retroactively made Saber the most powerful and important character in both franchises??

Technically, if Saber shares worlds with the other Kamen Rider shows he was very important for Kamen Rider already, since in Saber Wonder World and the Almighty Book are basically what gave life to the world and Touma became its guardian with the ability to actively modify it if he wanted to 😂 Even more after this movie I don't understand why I don't see the Kamen Rider fans acknowledging Touma's "Godhood Status" the same way they aknowledge Kouta and Ace 😂 I know we are not directly told Touma became a God, and he Personally decided to step aside and choose a normal life as a Novelist, but if you think about it, he is still Wonder Wolrd's Guardian. And with this movie he literally became Super Sentai and Kamen Rider creator from a certain point of view.

I really liked this movie, even if the characters I recognized were mostly thanks to the Power Rangers counterparts and Kamen Rider Zi-O. But the most important part to me: it give me interest to watch Zero One, which now I love to much.

I really liked this film, because it was the perfect film to celebrate two of Japan’s long line of superheroes I wish I could have grown up with. Asmodeus was definitely a villain decent people would hate because of how he treated everything superheroes have done and all their stories are meaningless. I mean if it wasn’t for stories about heroes I wouldn’t have been given the examples people like me need to follow in order to be better people. I loved Ichigou and Akarangers entrance and when they summon all the lead Riders and Red Rangers. At that part right before they destroy Asmodeus I can’t help but say “you picked the wrong stories.” And I love it when Hongo Takeshi greets a young Ishinomori Shotaro. Because even when Shotaro learns that he’s dead, he’s happy cause of how even though he’s gone, his legacy still lives on and people continue what he started. It made think if we’re younger versions of some the people I look up to, like Walt Disney, Stan Lee, Jack Kirby Tsuburaya Eiji and especially Tezuka Osamu, they’d feel the same way Shotaro felt. And I love how Takeshi said how all other heroes of every generation have had such an impact on children. Inspiring them to become better people. I couldn’t help but say, “I fully agree with you sir.”

i absolutely love this film as well. i think what helps its case is definitely the OST, i adore the tracks used when both sides are performing their role calls or when Ichigou and Akaranger manifested the past Riders and Sentai warriors.

Yeah, the voices of the returning suited characters was really jarring. It was very obvious that whoever was in charge of that, instead of going into the voice archives like in previous crossover films with returning suit characters (when they couldn't get the actual actors back, like Phillip's or Ryutaro's), they just got someone to try and do a line read of the character's catchphrases. Kinda threw me during the battle for a moment.

I Just watched this movie, and Gotta say. After watching Saber and now this... How come I don't see fans acknowledging Touma's "Godhood Status" the same way they acknowledge Kouta and Ace 😂 I know we are never directly told Touma became a God, and he chose to step aside and live a normal Life as a Novelist, but Saber basically tells us the world was born from the Almight Book and the Wonder World, and at the end Touma became its Guardian with the ability to Actively modify everything if he wanted to, as much as he choose a normal Life his fate is still connected to Wonder World. And now, Touma has Recreated the whole World twice already, by literally remaking it from Scratch as the Wonder World Guardian and now after the erasing of all Kamen Riders and Super Sentai, Becoming their creator together with Ishinomori from a certain point of view... Kouta, Ace and Touma the Celestial Trinity until we get another main protagonist Ascending to Godhood 😂

I like this movie, but I’m going to be completely honest. The whole “WHAT we aren’t real? We’re just a tv series?!?!?!?” plot line really needs to die at this point. I don’t think it’s ever been used well, and we have already gotten pretty much this exact plot multiple times over. It just feels incredibly lazy imo, like the writers couldn’t be bothered to come up with an actually creative reason for a crossover. The viewers don’t need to be reminded that this isn’t really happening, it just drags everything down

Saber and Zenkaiger were my least favorite seasons. I was still hyped because it was a Sentai Rider crossover but I was severely disappointed. It should have been Kiramager Zero-One crossover.

You can watch them in release order, but because every season is its own contained story you could just watch whichever ones look the coolest to you!

i have to be honest i really dislike this movie, it's supposed to be a commemoration of the two franchise's anniversay and a crossover film, yet 90% of the movie focuses on kamen rider, the movie's not all that exciting and asmodeus is a terrible villain, there are few things i liked about it, the roll call scene was awesome and Spark is a fantastic ending theme.
