Hair loss really does hit harder than people think. I feel like those who don't experience think its not a big deal but when its you experiencing it suddenly you realise just how much your hair really means to you. I have PCOS and my hair was thinning for several years because of it and it really is heartbreaking. I think it's slowed down now, thank god but its never a fun thing to go through so you have my sympathies Thomas!!

I’ve got PCOS too. I definitely experience it differently thanks to being transmasculine, but the severe acne it causes me has been a big point of insecurity since I was twelve. It’s gotten better to manage as I’ve gotten older, but I’m glad I had family that had it and told me about it. My mom went undiagnosed until her late twenties and she has had it pretty severely.

As someone with an unknown skin condition that come up in blisters all over my body (doctors think I’m possibly allergic to the sun but not confirmed as of yet) I know what it’s like to want to hide your body when you feel you look terrible. It’s absolutely horrible, but I’m glad you’ve gotten treatment for it to get better. Hope you make a speedy recovery Thomas!!

My sister has a mild allergy and we don't know what causes it but she gets rashes when in contact with cold water but also damp and especially the water from the sailing lake we go to. I got a bug bite on my head that got infected and lots of the hair from the very top of my head fell out, but it's all regrown now after nearly two years (I have very long hair). These things just happen and it sucks but there's nothing really to be done except treat it with respect and don't ignore it, but don't let it take over your life, it doesn't define you.

I have keratosis pilaris (aka chicken skin), have since I was about 5-6. It's benign, but leaves loads of little red bumps all over my arms legs and face, and I hate the texture it leaves me with and how itchy it can get sometimes, or the more frequent ingrown hairs. I've always been embarrassed and sensitive about it, and don't like people touching my bare skin or mentioning it, or even showing it off. And you can try treatments to mitigate it, but there's no true way to get rid of it besides hoping it goes away in 30-50 years

I’ve had to deal with Eczema everywhere my entire life, but more recently I got diagnosed with this weird bacterial infection. Apparently the infection is in my nose, but it causes boils to randomly appear on my legs and arms. I just finished treatment for it, but since it’s highly resistant to antibiotics, I have to wait up to a year to confirm it’s actually gone. Going like 6months without a breakout isn’t enough because the medication could just be delaying the breakout instead of curing it, so it’s a waiting game. 😢

I'm happy you felt comfortable sharing this with us Thomas! ( or I hope at least comfortable and not feel forced) If it makes you feel nay better I've been dealing with a skin condition called eczema since I was born. Tried different solutions and lotions and this includes bleach baths recommended by a doctor and it only made it worse. I currently still deal with downs and highs with it. Times it will go away and then come back worse than ever. I currently am insecure of showing my scarred skin in public so I will wear leggings and high socks and hoodies of long sleeve anything really. Feel free to take all the time you need! You are an amazing person, an amazing creator, and I'm happy I had to honor to join you on this journey though multiple series and videos.

The fact that you said your elbows and knees have never felt smoother sent me into a fight of laughter! It was what I needed after a long day at work. I also just want to thank you so much for being you Thomas. When I was 13/14, I fist discovered you through your sander sides videos, right around the time the series was starting up and I was so happy to see those videos and so much of your other content, so when I got KZbin notifications for your channel, it didnt matter what I did at home, I was sitting my butt down to watch it and just listen and smile the entire time. As the content grew, and you got into deeper topics, it felt like I could connect on a level that made me question in good ways and has helped me through major parts of my educational career. Now in my second year of college, when I feel down and dont know what to think, I put on the Sander Sides and just listen to the words you and your side have to say and pick up something new everytime. I even got my partner into the videos at one point and we just binged the series. I know life gets in the way, and you have so many great idea we will just love, so I wanted to thank you. As someone who gets pretty bad eczema which comes and goes particularly due to stress and leaves me with scars sometimes I know how rough it can be particularly when it's visible to others and I'm glad to hear it's getting treated and on it's way out!

I went through something similar with my hair. It started a few months before Covid, and I had some pretty bad bald patches, the worst at the back of my head. Covid stress and problems didn't help it at all. I found a whole lot of comfort in hats, and now I have more than I can count. I was even gifted another one just 5 days ago. My missing hair has now grown to my shoulders, and I don't have to wear hats anymore. I can't wait to see what hats you have in store for the different sides, and I hope you are alright. None of us will blame you if you have to take breaks or slow down, we love you, and we want you to be at your best! ❤

I know that dealing with so much stress can be hard , and as someone with severe acne I get the whole covering up thing , it’s not always easy to like certain parts of yourself no matter what everyone tells you But you know what ? I think I speak for all us fans when I say that no matter what’s going on , we all love and support you no matter what , and it’s perfectly normal to be stressed at times. Hell , rewatching dealing with intrusive thoughts has helped me an insane amount with the way I’ve been feeling recently. Anyway , all this to say thank you for being you and being open , and you’re not along in the slightest.
