It is hard to believe that I first made a Sanders Sides video over five years ago… Back then, I NEVER would have imagined the videos would evolve into what they have. And not only was the character of Thomas that I was playing evolving and learning, the real me behind the camera was as well. All the research into mental health and philosophy… all the late nights and early mornings with dear friends… all the pushing ourselves to improve our writing and acting… it’s been an incredible journey. And we were definitely pushed to keep going because of the incredible support and love YOU all have given to these characters and to this series. So, it made the most sense that, for this video, we reached out to many of you to help celebrate this landmark in a fun anniversary special. I hope you enjoy it… much like I can’t wait to see how these characters will evolve and grow in the time to come, I can’t wait to see how I will evolve as well.

(if you haven't seen it go look at it before spoilers get thrown your way :D) (yes im about to get into detail of the sanders asides episode Working Through Intrusive Thoughts, watch the movie before you get any spoilers, if you don't care then go ahead hehe :D) i do think perhaps the orange is in fact the opposite of logan, because again working through intrusive thoughts logan gets irritated at remus because he wouldn't listen to him, and we see logan suddenly yell (which we've seen him lash out multiple times before, i.e. when he threw the paper at roman, when he continuously shouted "FALSEHOOD!" at the others, etc.) but this is different his eyes then proceed to emanate an orange hue, they're glowing orange basically SO THE THEORY THIS ORANGE SIDE COULD BE THE OPPOSITE OF LOGAN IS ACTUALLY NOT TOO FAR OFF 😳✋

Ok ok ok…theory time: after the five year anniversary video I went back and rewatch the other intrusive thoughts video (the one about nico) and noticed the shade of orange in Logan’s eye when he felt ignored. We all saw the orange on the chair and the anti spoiler spray…thus begun my research. I began to look into the colour orange and found many meanings depending on the shade. The colour orange we all know is the colour of a pilon or a construction workers vest, hence the thought of Thomas/Logan needing more attention. However orange within the hue of red can also represent anger, decitfulness, untrustworthiness, desire, passion and aggression. Now to add colour theory, we all know our primary colours (red, blue and yellow) but we also have our secondary colours (green, purple and orange). On a colour wheel each secondary colour is in between their corresponding primary colour (red+yellow=orange). But we also have opposite colours (red=green, yellow=purple and blue=orange). So to begin we now know that Roman (red) and Remus (green) were once just one side, hence my theory is that Logan is not just one but 2 sides without his knowledge. The side of orange could represent aggression or desire which would completely work against logic/knowledge hence the opposite colour theory. And to add to that we already have a set (maybe even 2 if you look hard enough) of opposite colours who do know get along -Roman and Remus (and Virgil *purple* and Janus *yellow*). I feel as if the orange side represents impulsiveness or atleast plays a part in it, since we have seen Logan act outside his usual lines, like in the puppets episode he threw the paper at Puppet Roman without thinking, and the whole scene of him with the orange eyes in WITI. I doubt the orange side will 100% represent impulsiveness, but I atleast hope it gets partly included. It'd make sense being the counterpart of Logan who's so well calculated and loves consistency without acting out of line

When I first started watching sanders sides, I started talking to myself, in the kind of way Thomas talks to his sides. At first of course, it was more of a joke, or a fan thing, but as time grew, I started openly communicating with myself. I've learned so much, and I genuinely believe it's helped me grow as a person, to understand how I think and why I act the way I do.
