It feels like theres a metal band in every family in Finland. Love that country. Skål from Norway
@piia2533 жыл бұрын
Yes, every Saturday evening after sauna we gather in our house, every member of the family. My mom sings, I play the keyboard, my brother plays the bass, my husband plays the drums and my brother in law plays the guitar. Sometimes our neighbors join us (they have their own band) and we write new hit songs together. Not really, but wouldn't it be great if this was true? 😀

YIANNIS IS ONE OF THE BEST VOICES ON EARTH AND THE PRIDE OF GREECE....LOVE TO FINLAND FROM GREECE.
@saintcynicism26543 жыл бұрын
It sounds very Blade Runner-y because it's heavily inspired by (if not outright based on) Armitage III, just like "Beast in Black" (both the name and the track) was a huge shoutout to Berserk. Even the "plot" of the music video's loaded with it (the "Third Type" / third generation androids were made to resemble humans and could even reproduce, and were summarily hunted down to be destroyed when word of them got out). It's very much the same genre, so the sound was perfect. The band's a bunch of fucking nerds and I love them for it.

Loveeee the intro of this song, I really hope to hear even more of that futuristic sound on the new album. And Yannis once again doing some real vocal gymnastics, it's mind-blowing 🙂 So delighted to see that you enjoyed the song and music video! P.S. I am delighted to see that you’re as excited as I was when I found out this had dropped. The joy in your face is palpable and I really enjoyed seeing your first listen. This song has that delicious Abba-meets-Judas-Priest eighties sound and it’s everything I wanted from new BiB music; I genuinely can’t stop listening to it and I cannot wait for the full album. 🤘

I too was so excited when this tune dropped, and I wasn’t disappointed, I must’ve already watched the video about 15 times and listened to the song twice as many times. The video is fantastic, such high production and it’s like a mini movie, it’s almost distracting from the song but in a good way. Yannis is on top form and delivers some incredible vocals as always, the 80s synths are in full effect and the build up is amazing, a catchy drum rhythm and such a cool riff and guitar solo. And you’re right mate, the new album Dark Connection is a concept album of sorts, Anton Kabanen has stated that it will have a cyberpunk and A.I. theme, inspired by Blade Runner, Ghost In The Shell, and many cyberpunk animes like Akira, Appleseed, Cyber City Oedo 88 etc. And also still some references to Beserk thrown in, we know Anton is such a fan of all that. Can’t wait for the album. Also another band I highly recommend if you don’t know them already is Orden Ogan, plenty of videos of theirs to choose from but I’d say pick from In The Dawn Of The A.I. Gunman F.E.V.E.R. The Things We Believe In Let The Fire Rain Cheers 🤘🏻🙂

:)) Like for aerobics! And great taste in music. ---------- These are not the Beast In Black musicians :)) - these are androids of the 4th generation and they, together with the headhunter, opened the hunt for replicants of the 3rd generation. (Most likely this is the manga "Armitage III") The main thing is that at the end they resurrected like phoenixes from fire - :) more precisely: the "BEAST" corporation relaunched them for the next single, before the album itself was released. Anton Kabanen promised that we will not get bored: "Enter cyberpunk. Flying cars, sprawling metropolis, valleys of neon lights, emotionless killers, gynoids, femmes fatales, shadowy characters, lethal lust, forbidden passion, love larger than life, space travel. .. All this and much more is what 'Dark Connection' holds within. Such cyberpunk animes as Armitage III, Cyber City Oedo 808, AD Police, Battle Angel Alita and Bubblegum Crisis have essentially served as sources of inspiration, as well as the immortal classic film by Ridley Scott; Blade Runner. And as always, a Beast In Black album wouldn't be a Beast In Black album without a heavy impact of Berserk, the manga and anime creation of Kentaro Miura. Sadly, the beloved author passed away while we were still making this album. Thus, 'Dark Connection' is dedicated to Kentaro Miura."

Repeating the same 80s' disco metal sound which is obviously Kabanen's trademark. A bit boring.
@helenahey3 жыл бұрын
But 80's disco metal is great fun, eh? 😉 I guess many bands have some kind of trademark sound, but I'd still recommend to wait for the album release in this case. From what I've read, Anton has had multiple sources of inspiration for this one. It might bring in different sounds, or at least add something new to their 'trademark sound' 🙂

Dark Connection« may feature the most prominent synths of all of BEAST IN BLACK’s recordings so far, especially in the form of the Italo disco, Euro beat and symphonic elements that the band are so widely loved for. Despite that, at its core it’s still all about simple heavy metal.
