This song was new when I met my future wife @ 19 years old. She asked me out through a mutual friend. Oh my, she was so pretty with that smile, 80's hair and a she was and still is a real sweetheart. She told me I was the most handsome boy she had ever saw. A year later we were married and still are. Where have the years gone to?

Good to read about you guys. I came out a pub near home, rather drunk after being dumped, she conned me into taking her home. that was in1970, now it's 2024, we got married in 1972 still married today 11/7/24. That is 52 years wed in September this year 2024. She was not quite 17 I was just of 20, Motown and the Twins fed us while young. Kids of today do not know what good music is, sorry kids, our grandkids laugh when they see us kiss and dance. Hey we are still on the honeymoon. Every word here is the truth. Perhaps the best of all the decades no matter where you happened to be !! I grew up with this music in sanctioned South Africa and forever glad for the independent radio stations that played non conformist or banned music due to a good deal of smuggling from the surrounding countries..

I was 10 in 1983, 17 by 1990, 18 1991, 19 1992, 20 1993, 21 1994, 22 1995, 23 1996, 24 1997, 25 1998.......etc.etc. I had a great life. Now the 2000s to now everything garbage. The only great thing is the weather, excellent health, my only son now 21, I never wanted to get married 😂😂😂

Where was I when this song was new? I was 13, so how I missed it, I just don't know. I used to watch MTV (remember when they had actual music videos?) and TBS Friday nights, Night Tracks. I found this on Pandora and I have probably listened to it 100 times. I always LOVED the Thompson Twins.

I was 20 years old in 1984 and the best years of hits was from 1982-1986 the late1980s was fading away with very little hits and it started picking up again into the early 1990s to 1997 then faded away again.
