Rob: Thor would show up, beat everyone up, and leave. My response: Jane magically lifts up anything sans lightning that's a problem and throws it in the sun...but when she uses an actual bolt of lightning, she passes out. I still don't get HOW she's worthy, why she took Thor's name and the retcon of a sentient storm in the hammer doesn't help either case. It isn't an answer to either plot holes among many others. I'm not a traditionalist Thor fan or anything, dude was lacking for years but I'm still not seeing Jane as anything special. Just like Danvers and Kahn, it's a second generation title, copy-paste powers and weak attempts to "diversify" the roster. At least with 40 years of story telling, we have a list of reasons why Odinson is worthy. It's been the better part of a decade and I'm still waiting for a single concise answer about Jane's worthiness.

In the Snorra Edda's account of Ragnarok, Surtr does show up to Vigrid (the final battlefield) with the others enemies of the Aesir. In fact, it is his riding across the Bifrost with the sons of fire that shatters the bridge. Surtr fights and kills Freyr and at the end of the battle he is one of the only entities left standing.
