That's hard to do though because just like Hulk, Thor has unlimited mobility. Thor is actually the best at singling out enemies because you can push them into your team. I usually push into the back line and just tie up the healers while my team wins the fight behind me. Healers have no response to Thor constantly cc'ing them and pushing them away from their team.

Close in with his lunge, then either melee to boost health or activate thorforce and zap their health down. When i play with thor, he feels like a dps because his movement buff while awakened helps him get in and out of situations. I even figured out hulk to get mvp with them both

Everyone else I've seen play Thor has been playing more for dealing damage like a DPS (doing more hammer throws than dashes and using the awakened form often) than disruption/brawling like a Tank (how you've been using the dash over and over to disrupt), and I think it's very cool how you can lean into different playstyles by how you choose to use his abilities! However, I think this disruption Tank playstyle seems a bit strong yeah, and the more DPS playstyle seems very slow and clunky and that QoL has a lot of room for improvement. He seems to have been designed with the prompt of "Okay we want his abilities to basically have 0 cooldown, how do we balance that?" And the answer was a short global cooldown and the resource. Thus, while it would certainly work, I don't think just increasing his dash cooldown is the best possible solution. Perhaps some other ideas to keep that cooldown gimick but bring it in line could be to reduce the distance or damage of the dash at minimum charge, make the dash cost 2 Thorforce, reduce the bonus health it gives you, etc. On the other hand, if you watch how other people play him I think his more DPS playstyle (and maybe more yet-to-be-discovered approaches to using his kit) seems slow and clunky. If they sped him up a bit (either faster base speed, or a way to increase movement speed like the AOE or more speed with more stacks of Thorforce or something), increased his painfully slow movement speed while charging up his dash and during his ult, or even decreased the global cooldown to like 0.75 seconds, I think he'd feel SO much better to play. It's hard to strike a balance of making this all feel better without also making his playstyle you showed off in this video much stronger while also sticking to the mechanical gimick of everything sharing a very short cooldown. They've given themselves a bit of a tough balancing act here with Thor lmao- absolutely not a 2* difficulty hero, he's a 4* imo.

This has been my common criticisms of these videos. In all these videos calling Thor OP, they're just fucking around in QP largely being ignored. At Gold 3 I've found a lot of good success with Thor. But people aren't crazy coordinated at gold 3 yet either. You really, REALLY feel the lack of being able to use your abilities for 2 seconds after a thorforce ability, and the lack of a way to quickly escape with your shift when using your Awakening Rune.

Definitely just you, Hulk having baby Bruce extends his loop so much. Especially if you can strafe well & have a decent team that listens to you when you go out of hulk form. I don’t think Thor is bad when you have a really well coordinated team. He’s a dive tank so in comparison with him, Hulk & Venom, I still think Venom is the best dive.

I think to balance Thor would be making the dash to have a 1 second longer cooldown depending on the Thor force icon. Like if you had all 3 and use the dash it would be 1sec cooldown, and if it’s 1 icon then 3sec cooldown.

Only time will tell the meta -- right now it's pretty much everyone slotting in their favorite heroes and I imagine it will be like that on launch as well. However compositionally wise you're probably correct -- Thor, Venom and Hulk function mostly as divers leaving your vulnerable backline alone so they will either work best in a FULL DIVE comp where the whole team is on board with diving, or when you have a more defensive tank like Doctor Strange to protect your backline!

I dont think hes broken. Honestly, they could do with tweaking some things up and down. But his core kit is solid. I think he doesnt get much out of his right click rn. Maybe the GCD between Throw and Charge could be less than from Rune. Like hes absolutely not bad, ive enjoyed playing him today. I think itd be worth testing a redeced GCD between some abilities, giving him another charge of Thorforce, or maybe even letting him try to squeeze a Charge into his awakening so you can correct yourself if you misread an enagement and need to get out.

I will say that while i think your gameplay is great, you going in and singling out people isn't sustainable unless you have a pocket healer. Watching your footage, you seem to be almost constantly healed by your team while their team isn't focusing heals. Maybe its just skill issue or quick play, but using him in gold 2 for me has been not nearly as easy to kill when the other teams healers are doing their job
