I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. My only complaint is that there should have been more screen time with Gorr. We should have had at least 1 or 2 more scenes of Gorr hunting and killings gods. The film didn't convey how much of a threat Gorr could be. The film needed those extra scenes with the villain.

Thor stood his ground against all odds to save those children... That's what made Gor to change his view /opinion on Thor. Some symbolism that I appreciated was the markings on gorr’s and his daughters body. When we saw his world’s god, he also had the same sort of markings on his face. What I liked the most about it is the subtle detail that goes unspoken. You can easily read that Quill just learned to accept Thor's goofy act. He knows Thor not just enjoy himself but also use the act to hild his hurt, but he also knows Thor delivers and he does care (hence the talk). You watch their interactions (direct and indirect), you can see Quill learned to read right past all of that. It is a particular type of just accepting how the other is, including their superficial kinks one might perosnally not enjoy, which I find very pleasant to see.

I agree but i feel having the dumpling god took away from the movie and kinda made the whole omnipotence city more into joke than the gathering place of gods in the mcu. I feel the numerous disney references are starting to take alot away from the mcu specifically. They really should have given the movie a more serious tone lightly undercut with some humour instead of humour lightly undercut with a bit of seriousness. I think they can keep making disney references aslong as they are on earth and it makes more sense since disney can exist on the earth but when u put it into the wider universe just for a gag it just feels like they taking liberties with the mcu which really undercuts the immersion that i was hoping for. Not to mention how they represented zues, they really should have tried to make him a more serious character but still incredibly dismissive of "lower" lifeforms. I feel like people who complain about the direction of the film would actually at least appreciate it more with that Forrest Gump comparison. He has his own arc that is subtle but his heart remains full and optimistic, helping others, even those he hates, grow and become better people. Thors small arc led way to everyone surrounding him having big arcs just like Forrest.

If they had shown some scenes of Gorr butchering Gods in fast forward mode(like in 5 minutes),this movie would have been perfect. And After realising the process was too time taking, Necrosword should have told him about the Eternity and Bifrost. Then in another 5 minutes, Gorr could have murdered Eitri because of his refusal to build another storm breaker.(I don't know where Grandmaster fits in here). After that movie could go on same with some more action in the final battle against Gorr.

two things i noticed 1. the shot of thor and jane sitting away from each other on the couch, there was a little bit of subtle imagery and foreshadowing when mjolnir was sitting closer to jane than thor 2. there was an empty chair next to bast/bastet, the symbol looked like the grandmaster’s staff or some of the details around sakaar or something like that. probably bc gorr killed him in that shot that was left out of the final cut.

@33:30 : When Thor uses Zeus's thunderbolt to pursue Gorr to the gates of Eternity, He's prominently situated in front of a tree.
