Thor never returned Kingo's phone calls because in "Thor Ragnarok" Doctor Strange asked if Thor had a phone and he said, "No I don't have a phone, but you could've sent an electronic letter. It's called an email". Doctor Strange says, "uh huh. Do you have a computer?" Then Thor says, "No, what for?" Thor isn't good with technology, that's why he hasn't returned Kingo's calls.

If you really think he's that dumbbb then by your standards, all Asgardians are dumbbb and prehistoric because they don't have LED TVs, phones, PS4s, Xbox's, etc. while forgetting the dudes have a a hallow suit of metal that can shoot beams of energy that was supposed to be meant to fight the Celestials (as per the comics) that can only be controlled by the one who has Odin's staff or given "provisional access" to said armor and other things as well like living on a flat-Earther's wet dream or be capable of transporting themselves to other places quickly that's faster than any FTL equipped ship in the Marvel universe or the fact that said blonde hunk used to carry around a hammer that can follow him anywhere, is capable of FTL travel, is near indestructible, can be used to fly and can be heavy or light depending on the wielder.

9:13 Along with these parallels, Makkari inspired Mercury, the God of commerce and thieves (links to how Makkari collects many historical items in the domo) and was gifted with winged feet to be faster while serving as a mediator. @@daddyavocado Ikaris betrayed the Eternals because he believed in killing a planet so that a Celestial can bring forth even more life. He was told the truth for centuries and suddenly Ajak turned a 180 and said we should not have the Emergence and let humanity live which went against EVERYTHING he believed in for his entire life. His entire existence. It makes sense with his perspective to kill fellow Eternals in the belief of his ideals, especially if it's what he has believed in for millennia.
@blitzwolfer4154

@@daddyavocado The storyline is not the best since it felt a lot of "antagonists" like at first it was the power absorbing Deviant, then Ikaris and then the Celestials Tiamut (debatable since he actually helped Sersi and the unimind) and Arishem (since he's judging humanity). So definitely not the best film plot, but honestly I'll take this then Michael Bay's transformers live action plot of The Last Knight. That movie made me so confused in relation to what was previously told that I gave up on trying to understand the plot and just watching it for the action sequences and character appearances.

I agree. As Shang-Chi was a slight hybridized nod to films like 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon' by way of its cinematography, while it's rumored that the next Doctor Strange will act slightly as a horror film, I felt that Eternals had a cinematographically-'epic' feel like that of Noah; which makes sense being that the storyline intertwines with human existence and creation. I didn't understand why younger audiences didn't like it as much until I watched it and it made sense why, being that it's not the exact feel of Marvel movies of past where it's led by action dependent on CGI, hints of quirkiness, and a certain pace.

I love how this movie basically redefined the MCU while also clarifying other parts, especially on a cosmic level. It also makes me think of how Thanos may have been mostly right in the end (the means is still atrocious). We still don’t know if everything Arishem was true. Also-is Thanos and Eros another Loki-Thor situation, or are they actually blood siblings like in the comics? Because if they are siblings by blood, then we can safely assume he’s a mutated Eternal, and I have a guess why. The movie explained that Eternals are basically the second created beings by Arishem, using the lessons learned from the ever-evolving Deviants to create a non-changing race to help wipe out the Deviants. What if Titan (Thanos and Eros’ home planet) was another planet with sentient life that was seeded by the Celestials, but instead of complying the Titan Eternals rebelled against their purpose. They lived on Titan along with the natives, and used their cousin Deviants as a means to cure themselves of their impotence. Which is how children of Eternals like Eros and Thanos are possible, and why Thanos somehow resembles a Skrull except purple (because Skrulls are descended from Deviants on their home planet). I would love it if this was true!

@blackbeardbarkbark
@blackbeardbarkbark 3 жыл бұрын
In the comics the eternals and the deviants would fight over a planet. Which ever won that fight would dictate how the sentient beings evolved. Deviants weren't four-legged monsters in the comics though. Thanos is an eternal born with a deviant gene. Sounds familiar?
@davosmando
@davosmando 3 жыл бұрын
I think a Thor-Loki situation fits more in the MCU, so the Titans would be a race that looks like Thanos, and he could have been adopted by the Eternals of his planet, who had rebelled as well. Although they could easily explain it in other ways, like the Titans being the offspring of Eternals who managed to reproduce perhaps by using deviant genes. Titans cannot be pure Eternals though, it wouldn’t make sense, as Thanos was said to be around 1000 years old.

One thing I will give them props is to the sets especially of ancient times. It showed parts of our world that don't honestly get more on screen time, well not in the scale this does. It was nice to see a slightly better varied and balanced look at history. It wasn't all Egypt and Greece (as much as I'd like the 3ds models of those places too. Also no one in any history department around the world has budget to recreate, in 3d, the city of babylon the way they did. They skimped a little inside i think but it was still beautiful. something I also haven’t really seen mentioned is that I LOVE how all the humans react to finding out their loved one is an eternal - like Dane and Phasto’s husband - which is to say, they don’t really react because it’s not world ending news. Which is refreshing to me going into phase 4 that we aren’t really spending time having to see humans react widely to other beings - that absolutely just makes sense story wise given everything that has happened up to this point. And it really worked for me because while learning about the eternals themselves isn’t being news, it allows us as the audience to really think critically about ideas of ethics, mortality, humanity, and purpose. And with the introduction of celestials - THAT is something that deserves a larger reaction to. It calls into question everything we’ve ever known

I can't believe he didn't understand that DRUIG, was likely loosely translated to DRUID, as he lived in the woods, and as Druids had magickal control over nature, DRUIG had the ability to control THE NATURE OF MEN. Also Druids often protected nature from civilizational progress, and DRUIG in this movie often wanted to control the minds of men to give them civility instead of war, which can be viewed as a type of protection of the nature of men, as Druids protected nature FROM men. All very easily changed in one bad translation or a historical game of Telephone over a millenia of time. Just saying, I can't believe this wasn't picked up on, because he did such a swell job in naming the other historical figures that closely represented by the Eternals throughout history.
