In the mythology, the wolf is Fenrir. In the Marvel comics, the wolf is called Fenris Wolf. Fenris is the name for Baron Strucker's twin children.

The wolf shows up because because he was bound by the gods at one point, and they placed him in that place in hel so when hela is out and about she brings her arsenal against asgard. Hela also has the power to use the souls in her domain...(if im not mistaken) that might explain her power up. They seem to tie in both stories.. so i predict.. starting out in asgard.. then ending up in sakaar and then,... getting hulk to help him retake asgard at the end... pardon my grammar.

It may be that in the MCU Hela is strong enough that only the Odinforce can keep her at bey. Loki can pretend to be Odin, but he won't have access to the Odinforce. If Hela somehow found out that Odin wasn't on the throne, she would make a break for it. I also think that in the scene where Thor is full of lightning, he may have come into possession of the Odinforce. That would account for how he will be able to defeat Hela, but also put him in a position to help out even more against Thanos.

Hela almost seems like a combination of three characters HELA + DEATH + ENCHANTRESS its been alluded to that there are two infinity stones here. Hela acquires the soul stone and in turn Thor retrieves the Tesseract to use against her.

In the comics Hella is very powerfull, Odin is suppoused to be the strongest god in asgard and with the Odin Force he only was able to put her to sleep, but since the end of Thor 2 we don't know what happend to Odin or where he is, but he's not in Asgard, so thas why Hella can easily take Asgard just by herself, because only Odin was the one who could stand against her. And also that scene with Thor and the thunders could be Thor using the Odin Force

My Mythology side is excited. In Norse Mythology Hela is Loki's daughter and Fenrir the Wolf is Loki's son. But I think in the movie they won't uses that and just change it completely and make Her Loki's mom which is inaccurate.
