Would it not have a choice if Thor died? Who else would inherit it at that point? Would it just poof into nothingness or would this powerful force think 'fuck it, close enough' and choose Loki so it resumes existence?
@Neverbetred

Odin has other sons that are never featured in the comic. Or at least in a long time. I would think a new king would have to be declared if it was out of the bloodline. So more magic stuff would have to happen.

I did a dumb earlier while looking for your channel in my list, and I couldn't find it. I panicked. I was like "OH NO! Did something happen to Rob's channel? Did KZbin pull a KZbin and explode the channel!?" Then I found it, and felt dumb. Haha. I love this channel, man. The energy you have in your videos and the excitement you share explaining comics is uplifting. It was a treat catching up the nearly 8 months backlog of your videos I had to do (it took me almost 2 months to do it...) and it's been really helpful dealing with my depression. This video is no exception. A great vid, and a comic I kinda want to get now. Thanks again, man. Proud to be a member of the Rob Corp.

Another thing about Gor's son is that given he was a construct of the necrosword I think it's worth noting that Gor's power was his own undoing. His humanity as well as this absolute power he had over other Gods corrupted and destroyed him. Also since his wife called him a God I think was a turning point in his own mortality because he became what he wanted to kill. Great story!

I'm on record, posting wherever the topic comes up, that I'm *not* a fan of the current Jane Foster book. But I listened to you here, Rob, and credit where credit is due; this was *MAYBE* the best explanation I've ever come across of why she is wielding his hammer. I still believe that making Mjolnir some kind of sentient energy is nothing short of bad writing - but I respect the hell out of you, man and I truly appreciated this video. Nuff Said.

I am sorry, but the thing Nick Fury told Thor to make him 'unworthy' was pure nonsense, because it basically makes Thor an idiot. Think about it, Fury basically told Thor was he suspected was correct, fine, but that doesn't change him, or the fact that Thor is a hero. Even afterwards, it was made clear in a flashback in the Lady Thor run, that Thor constantly worried and was concerned about his worthiness. He helped people not for worship but because he believed it was right to do. So...he basically traumatizes himself, denounces his birth name because...what? Thor was never unworthy, Thor went crazy...and that really doesn't make any sort of sense. If Thor had just decided to put down the hammar and left, leaving someone else to come pick it up...then maybe people wouldn't have hated Lady Thor so much...
@ChrisHemsworthIndia
@ChrisHemsworthIndia 5 жыл бұрын
Unworthiness was Thor's psychological disorder. That's fine. But how tf Odin failed to pick it up? Or just Thor's mind that much powerful that can effect every single God pantheon and make them unworthy?

Makes sense, seeing as he feels less like a God and more like an outcast. When most of us think 'Viking', we think mismatched armor and almost primitively large weapons. Happy to also point out how most Viking stories are filled with characters of depth. Odinson doesn't just LOOK more Viking, he IS more Viking.

16:48 "All through time, gods were dying. Every god who had ever been born or ever would be. There was no final battle for them to fight. No enemies standing over them. No warning even. They merely fell to their knees, choking on blackness, their flesh falling apart before their eyes. Some knew why it was happening. Most did not. But in their final cloudy moments, they all shared a common vision. A vision of one god, with a mighty hammer in each hand, fighting at the heart of a bomb to save them all. And for one moment that stretched across time ... every god in all the universe closed their eyes ... and prayed to THOR." And that is THE. MOST. BAD. ASS. moment in the entire history of Thor.

i was leaving a comment for someone else and i remember 2 things: in secret invasion after Thor gets back Beta Ray Bill's hammer he temporarily weilds Mjolnir and Stormbringer; and after Odinson reclaims the title of Thor from Eric Masterson - When he changes his name to Thunderstrike, and Odin(maybe Heimdall) gives him a truncheon named the same - Thunderstrike weilded thunderstrike and Stormbringer at the same time. So this would be at least the third time some iteration of Thor dual-weilded 'The Power of Thor' - though not technically two Mjolnirs

Mr. Blobby Good writing?! Pff here is a example of the shit I'm talking about. "It's good to have a female fighting me for once! I won't fight you because women have to look out for each other in this world dominated by men! Next time I will fight you though!" God, just so good. How about this, when they meet Thor's grandfather. A ancient being locked away for thousands of years. What does this ancient being have to say? "Opinions on Israel!!!" If you want constant political, pandering nonsense you can go read an old X-men comic. They fucked up Thor and sales show. Deal with it.

My bets on Wonder Woman. Jane is so fast that she once performed brain surgery on at least seven patients at once, but that's still not as impressive as some of Wonder Woman's feats, or even OG Thor's feats.

All the more reason why the change makes no sense. Most female will not read the comics that are changed for the intent purpose of gaining new female readers. The proof is in the fact Thorina INSISTS that she is "Thor" because she wields the hammer. Forgetting that many people in the past has wielded the hammer but retains their identity and gains the "power of Thor" as inscribed on Mjolnir. It isn't enough to create a character worthy but to devalue the real Thor and quite literally try to replace him with her. Note: Thor would never have thought himself unworthy, nor would the hammer have. The revelation is not new. Nick Fury is not a close friend nor confidant to Thor, a great and trusted ally at times, but would not have such an impact with just a single line so stupid. If in fact Mjolnir does truly believe Nick Fury, then it is a relic on the side of Gorr, making it evil. I don't think the story was intended to go round full circle in this way, I think the story is a spin trying to get the story back on track. Jane Thor still doesn't make any sense.

darketernal3 those girls who used to read comics they used to like Tony Stark that's why they read comics, they like Steve Rogers that's why they buy it, they used to admire Thor his looks that's why they read it. They can accept a Black Widow story or Sif story. But if you like to call widow as a Hawkeye or Sif as Thor no one gonna accept that trash. Aaron one of best comics writer right now but marvel ruined his whole series forcing him this kinda shit.

Mufti Hossain so making shitty Disney movies with the marvel name is where it counts? it's making a lot of money because kids love it and when every character makes a joke the regular person who knows nothing about the comics can find it watchable......I'd say that yes the comics are where it counts because that's the source material....dc is far better at comics and animated movies/shows...you can keep your Disney avengers

Mufti Hossain DC is coming back fast on marvel, batman vs superman is kicking off the string of DC movies (Wonder Woman, justice league) they're on top with comics and also on top with tv series with flash, arrow and legends of tomorrow, I reckon it's DC's time to shine now

Some people don't count money as success,if you did Marvel still outsells DC.However many of us count quality of comics as the mark of success for a COMIC BOOK CO.Marvel's been disappointing lately while DC is nailing it.

It's only good since Odinson is back, and I want to see who is the new Ultimate war Thor is. Jason (Cuckleberry) Aaron ruined a great chance to change Odinson and give him a even better Mjolnir, (1610) but then fucked things up last minute, because he wanted to the SAME THING with what he did with Jane. He teased Thor getting U-Mjolnir, and says: "nah let's do something else on the final issue"

Yeah a lot of the language and phrases he uses in videos gets annoying really. Just overall his mannerisms too. He always uses(and I mean overuses) the same things especially in times it isn’t even called for “let me tell you something maaan” and grinds his teeth hard as fuck. “In terms of” “so on and so forth” the way he laughs so fake and for no reason most times to make himself seem more fun or what he’s talking about like it’s more interesting. It really gets annoying. And at least 100 different instances where he will mention a line of comics super specific by name and number and year and writer and all and then turn around and say he’s not sure about it even though you know he did the research and had the script before recording. A lot of smalls things build up into a big annoyance
