Patrick Seitz SOUNDS more like Akio Otsuka. But Joe Daniels surprisingly brings more emotion to it. Really loved the glee in his "Fighting against you... is gonna be way more fun!" Honestly I think I have to give this one to Daniels.

Seitz can charm pretty much anyone and his voice matches. But Daniels’ dialogue is just better. Even if the voice doesn’t match, the writing does and elevates the performance a little better. It’s yet another hard sell, but I’ll bare with the bad writing from Netflix

Not going to lie, I might be biased towards Seitz's performance because I had watched the Netflix dub first, but I feel his tone and voice suits Thorkell very well. He can pull off the unhinged part of Thorkell well but I will admit Joe can definitely pull off his unhinged side much better.

Sentai definatley wins. The Netflix Dub feels too... forced, and too typical of most dubs, while Sentai feels like they put at least effort into the voices.

I definitely enjoy Joe best. Like with the rest of the cast, he handles loud volume and raw emotion well. I think Patrick Seitz is a damn good actor, but he just doesn't do it for me in this role, his performance is kinda weak. It's like he's just there to copy Otsuka sometimes and be the loud guy. Also, I'm sick of him being overused for every big dude role. I guess he's the one for this era, lol. When I look at Thorkell with Seitz's voice, it doesn't even look like he's talking. Anyways, he's SUPER as Franky and DIO!

I hear Patrick Seitz in so many anime that his voice is boring to me. Joe Daniels and really the rest of the Sentai cast have voices that are much more unique and refreshing to hear and honestly, his voice just fits far more than Patrick's or Akio's does imo.

Patrick is a fine voice actor, but he has too generic of a "big marine guy" voice. His casting is usually what makes me not really get into a dub, like as Uvogin in HxH, or Gamagoori in Kill la Kill. It's one of those voices that doesnt feel like a character. Unfortunately Daniels sounds even more unfitting.
