Honestly the entire dialogue between Anni and her mom that leads up to "Of course I'm embarassing, I'm your mother!" is my favorite one out of the whole episode. That was just so cute!

Man, i have always loved W&G for the style visually and story wise. And it met every expectation of fun that i had and its one of my faves from this season. In a landscape of constantly "subverted" expectations, its nice to see something that meets them for a change. 😅

Being a fan of Chicken Run as a kid it was just so neat to see a Star Wars short in this animation style. This episode was a ton of fun! I also appreciate them bringing back Dennis Lawson to voice Wedge.

This one hit home for me. As a kid my family wasn’t doing too well and I never wanted people to see my mom’s car or come to my house. Thinking back I feel such guilt but as an adult I try to make up for it every chance I get.

I thought it was a nice call back to the TPM with "Anne" (I think that's her name) being "Ani" aka Anakin.

I was wondering if anyone else would comment on this. Two mothers calling for their child, Annie (echoing Ani). An obvious call back.

I’m my head canon I like to think that the Mantis looking ship is actually the mantis itself but many years after the events of Jedi Survivor, maybe a descendant of Cal and Merrin own the ship and they modified it to what we see it as in this short.

I understand what this was trying to do, and all-in-all I thought it succeeded. Still, I would've loved to have seen a touch more of that classic Aardman tongue-in-cheek humor. And a little bit of that Feathers McGraw subversive charm wouldn't have hurt either.

To my mind, this was the 'filler' episode. Something light hearted after the serious of the Stars and the story of the 2 sisters. All the episodes in S2 seemed based on Family or Friends. I'd say its the theme of S2.

I like this episode. It was very funny and relatable. I also like “I am your Mother.” Was more lighthearted than Darth Vader telling Luke “I am your father!”
@jjstarrprod Жыл бұрын
That was certainly the joke of the episode. It was also the one filled with the most easter eggs of the saga (Annie, Wedge Antilles, a Jawa, I am your mother, the Darth-Vader hair shapes of the posh mother-daughter...)
@jon6309 Жыл бұрын
@@jjstarrprod I also liked the Mando helmet her Mom was using in the beginning to fix their dog droid. This episode really reminded me of my family. My father passed away when I was 12 and my sister moved to a different state so it's just me, my Mom and our pomeranian dog. I can really see the dynamic playing out in my family lol.

A fun little easter egg you missed was the shape of the haircut of both the posh mother and daughter : they're straight up in Vader's helmet's style. If THAT's not quintessential Star Wars, I don't know what is ! More seriously, sure, it was a lighter, more fun and less serious episode than the others... it's Aardman ! What did you expect ? And frankly, I love it exactly for this. I disagree with Naboo on this one : it came right at the right time in the whole list. It followed the introductiry 3 episodes that were fairly grim and self-serious (especially 2, but 3 was pretty much up there too, with the entire tribe being wiped out, and the 2 sisters eventually joining them, as we see their 2 stars lighting up at the end. After such heavy introduction, the levity brought up by this short, with no subtext, just a cute little heartfelt and fun story packed with Star Wars Easter eggs (I mean, that little Death Star !) was just a really welcome palate cleanser, before diving back into the more serious Dark Head and Spy Dancer !

This one honestly is my favorite stop motion out of all the Vision episodes. When I first saw the trailer for season 2, i felt like the Wallace and Gromit look surprisingly fit well. And the episode did not disappoint. Sure there's other episodes I liked more, but this one sticks out with just artstyle and would love for more Star Wars in this style

As an Englishman who still thinks Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were Rabbit is a masterpiece and one the greatest animated movies ever made, and that 'Aardman' feels as homely as a cup of tea and a Gregg's sausage roll, I was all in on this one as soon as I saw the first frame.

This was the first episode that I watched from this season, since I thought it was going to be the weakest, just on face value. Surprisingly, I would probably be on the minority but I really liked this one.😂 And even though the plot has been told so many times already, for this season it worked, since Visions 2 relied way too much on the older Jedi/Sith taking on an apprentice. Also, this probably the only one I found the be fun - most of the other episodes were too bleak. P.S. I loved type of animation.
