Actually, loaded dice are USUALLY shared. There's usually a trick to them a bit more than just "number lands higher". For instance, there's one type of loaded dice where you have to firmly press it against your palm, or breathe warm breath on it, in order to melt wax that shifts a weight in it. So him using the same dice means nothing

Playground rules for me here was the bottom card of the deck. Monster beats spell, and spell beats trap. If they were both monsters, the winner would be the one with the highest-level monster. If they were both spells or both traps, we'd do the next card.

I'm so glad I don't play this game anymore. This is exactly one of the things that people did that pissed me off. That and they'd win the coin toss and refuse to choose who was first.
