But their sin is greater than their benefit." And they ask you what they should spend. Say, "The excess [beyond needs]." Thus Allah makes clear to you the verses [of revelation] that you might give thought. 3:187-And remember Allah took a Covenant from the People of the Book to make it known and clear to the people; but they threw it away behind their backs and purchased with it some miserable gain! and vile was the bargain they made.

My question why is it that the vast majority of Islamic Literature were written during The Abbasid Tyranny. Why are these texts predominantly Persian? Or did the Abbasids have their own agenda? Where are the books written by the Ummayads? From a personal perspective I argue: What we call Islam today is a belief system that is heavily rooted/ influenced by Zoroastrianism, Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity and Pre Islamic Arab Cultural Practices. Hence, the hundreds of Sects all discrediting each other. Just have a look any the Muslim World 2021 what do see nothing but apathy and despair? Where's the Peace? Where's the Love for Our fellow Human Beings? More, we cannot, repeat cannot compare the Quran with additional texts, the then Government endorsed Tasfirs, Hadiths, Siras, etc. Do you doubt the Quran? Isn't it enough for you? If not, beware!” Whoever Allah allows to be deluded, you can never be of any help to them against Allah. It is not Allah’s Will to purify their hearts. For them is disgrace in this world, and they will suffer a tremendous punishment in the Hereafter. 5:42: They eagerly listen to falsehood and consume forbidden gain. So if they come to you ˹O Prophet˺, either judge between them or turn away from them. If you turn away from them, they cannot harm you whatsoever. But if you judge between them, then do so with justice. Surely Allah loves those who are just.

I follow the Quran and the sunnah, but the thing I find hard is the prophet himself couldn’t verify the things that is now in the books of the Hadith. I follow them but that’s something that annoys me a bit. My wish is to really talk to the prophet and that he explained the Quran to me. The Hadith in books are verified by many of his companions. Not just single Hadith allocated to 1 . Some Hadiths have been verified by over 40 companions. Each have their category. And their is over 10,000 authentic Hadiths.

@@br4885 learn the science of hadith..often happened to quranist that they always criticised hadith but never understand how the hadith being recite, recheck, research, & challenged before its been authenticated..at least when u want to criticise some topic, make sure you know the topic well & proper..make sure you know how hadith being done through history, how narration being check, the dicipline, rule, cross reference on it being done, etc2..quranist never learn how hadith work take a look at muslim who debate christian..they research almost EVERYTHING regarding bible including their history, their concept, their literature from christian expert themselves, etc2..thats why they're debate against christian become proper & well prepared that is also why quranist will always be caught unprepared when their foundation being challenged face to face verbally..they taught when they come forward & face Muslim, it will be easy peasy because they're confident hadith can be crushed to the ground each & every time..but they forgot that they also have a very fragile belief system due to their nature of interpreting quran by just using logic..thats why its very, very hard to see any face to face debate where quranist managed to prove their belief with demonstration on how they practice with prove EXACTLY like what Allah commanded them to do, like solah, fasting or even hajj..they can only talked confidently when they're alone & no one debating them & challenge their point

Which sahaba verified it? Why didn’t the sahaaba wrote Hadiths themselves in the the presence of prophet? If it was verified then why do you have 4 different imaams with different Hadiths books, sahabas were not even present in the world when bukhari wrote Hadiths books.just Google for contradictions in Hadiths you will know how great those books are.

This doesn’t really address the issue. Quranists accept that what the prophet pbuh instructs, however question the validity of authenticity in Hadith narration and the fact that it’s not infallible unlike the Quran.

As a german "christian" who became interested in Islam, this is exactly the conclusion i also came to. Only God knows best. I respect Mufti Menk a lot and i am not saying all hadith are wrong or should not be studied, sure, do it. But always keep it in the mind that they COULD be wrong. I am highly sceptical of the hadith though, that entire line of narration thing makes me furrow my brow i don't think i'd ever take them as a given. But only God knows best and may he guide as all among a righteous path. Peace be with you.

Opening comment is strawman. Most quran-only and quranist folks do not say people shouldn't follow the prophet muhammad (pbuh). In fact I have never heard this. To follow the quran is to inherently follow the messenger. Frankly nothing should be "automatic", re: from quran to hadith. We are instructed to be thoughtful and deliberate. I'm disappointed he doesn't address the quranic verses that quranists cite to support their viewpoint. He just puts forth a couple he thinks supports his own. Those to me are too open and non-specific to support his claim. I myself am more a strong "quran-first" rather than "quran-only" muslim but between them and the conventional wahabist influenced clerics I see stronger support for the former. I love and appreciate mufti menk even when we differ. I believe he's good hearted and well intentioned. That love inspires honesty and forthrightness which encourages my comment here. Please let's all speak from love for Allah (swt) and his creation inshallah.

May I ask you why you think that quran only is not the way, especially since you seem to acknowledge that there are (Sahih) Hadith that contradict the message of the Quran. I personally believe that if God says of himself that His word is free of falsehood and contradiction, it is out of question to follow a Source (Hadith) that is full of it. He could never have given an authority over this source, otherwise He would be a liar or simply not worthy of a God. Also His book is sufficient as a guidance for the believers in which no detail has been left out (6:114-115; 10:37). So why do you believe that there is a need to rely on the Hadith books for guidance?

@@bkbrown6281 Mentioning his name is not the issue. You can mention the fact that you follow the religion of Abraham or Muhammad in your prayers, that's fine. And God mentions the same in the Qur'an The problem is that the majority of Muslims today follow prophets Bukhari and Muslim (and others), as well the word of their scholars and take all this as divine law and commandments. This is expressly prohibited by God in the Quran when he says the Jews and Christians take their monks and scholars as their lords.

If you do that, you follow THEIR word, not God's. Especially so, when they then give you additional commandments that supposedly the Prophet gave out which are not found in the Qur'an. ...Yet the Qur'an says that guidance comes only from God, not from the prophet or from anybody else. I'm not arguing with you guys anymore. No point. They call us "kafir" and "quranists" instead of acknowledging us as muslims. You can't argue with ignorance. When ALLAH says in multiple verses that the QURAN is clear/complete, and the best "Hadith" out there, then I will take what ALLAH told us and apply it to my life. @Sébas Rejection is a Very strong and Misleading word.. I think Trust is more Apt.. The Quran needs no Justification, chain of narration’s etc.. The Hadith do.. The Quran is Infallible Word of Almighty.. The Hadith need to be checked for authenticity.. The Quran is superior to Hadith.. In Every Way.. Can’t compare the two.. Quran is the Article of Faith, the Hadith aren’t.. There’s an issue in the first sentence. He said that Quran-only people say only follow the Quran and don’t follow the Prophet’s sunnah. But he assumes that the truth of Hadith and Sunnah attributed to the Prophet’s sayings and actions, respectively. Moreover, there is a strawman being made here as well. He props up the strawman that Quran-only folks don’t believe in obeying the prophet, and knocks down this strawman. Quran-only folks do believe in obeying the prophet, but they are skeptical about the Hadith and Sunnah attributed to the prophet. There is a distinction between obeying the prophet and obeying what is attributed to him.

@@FM-kl1wv Yes. God says in chapter 2 that fighting is ordained for those who are attacked first. In other words, you have a right to fight someone who attacks you first; that’s basic self-defense. At 9:13, God says that the people to be killed at 9:5 attacked the messenger and the believers first. Not only did they attack first, they broke their covenant with the messenger and the believers. Imagine signing a peace treaty with someone and then they attack you and break the treaty; it’s a betrayal and can be an ambush. If someone is willing to betray peace treaties then one becomes highly untrustworthy in the eyes of every party, whether spectating or involved.

The prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was instructed to pass on the message that is the Qur'an and NOTHING but the holy Qur'an. It also says if the prophet prohibits something, it is as if Allah swt prohibited it. People take this line as a misconception. This helps us to understand that we should only follow the Qur'an. Other evidence is when in the Qur'an it says, any deviation from the Qur'an by the Prophet would result in severe punishment. The Qur'an also tells us many many times to not distinguish among the prophets for they are all equal. People nowadays put Prophet Muhamad above the rest of the messengers which is simply Idolatry. Research brothers and sisters and you will find that the Hadith and Sunnah, although they provide life lessons and what not, are merely he-said she-said. The only true instructions we need are within the holy Qur'an. Allah swt said the Qur'an is perfect, fully-detailed, and is the only thing you need for salvation. Stop calling the prophet's name during the Adhan, Stop putting the prophet's name on mosques right next to the name of Allah, and please understand that even the prophets will enter Jannah by Allah's mercy the same way that we will insha'Allah. The unfortunate thing is there are hadiths that are deemed to be sahih and they are not. There is evidence from the Quran that negates any truth to some of these sahih hadiths. I know it is very disturbing and hard to believe such a thing as what I’m about to say, but the truth is even our beloved religion of Islam, which is meant to provide peace and order to the submitters of Allah swt, there lies corruption and error in places we do not even notice. The Quran clearly states the sole duty of the Messenger is to deliver God’s message and ayahs. Every hadith there is is narrated on the authority of Abu simon or whoever it is. Mufti Menk is way off! It is clear for anyone who has a brain, that there is no evidence that Prophet Mohammed quoted anything in the Man Made Hadith! ALLAH clearly forbids any book other than what he reveals. When ALLAH says obey the messenger, he was directly talking to the companions of the prophet and his army that followed him at the time! For example, It is the Prophet who will decide when to go to war, or how much money each person would get from the war booty. The messenger's only duty is to deliver the message, so the only way to obey somebody who has one job is to accept that message. He had other duties besides being a messenger of course, such as being a warrior, a husband, the leader of a nation, but in regards to delivering Allah's revelations, he can not change them or translate them, but only deliver them.

To follow and obey the messenger means to follow the quran since allah hasn't given us the message directly. And they speak untruth about Allāh while they know". 59:7 "And what Allāh restored to His Messenger from the people of the towns - it is for Allāh and for the Messenger and for near relatives and orphans and the needy and the [stranded] traveler - so that it will not be a perpetual distribution among the rich from among you. And whatever the Messenger has given you - take; and what he has forbidden you - refrain from. And fear Allāh; indeed, Allāh is severe in penalty". They somehow are convinced and try to push the narrative this verse implies hadith but Allah makes it clear in 5:41-42 what their intentions are: 5:41 "O Messenger, let them not grieve you who hasten into disbelief of those who say, "We believe" with their mouths, but their hearts believe not, and from among the Jews. [They are] avid listeners to falsehood, listening to another people who have not come to you. They distort words beyond their [proper] places [i.e., usages], saying, "If you are given this, take it; but if you are not given it, then beware." But he for whom Allāh intends fitnah - never will you possess [power to do] for him a thing against Allāh. Those are the ones for whom Allāh does not intend to purify their hearts. For them in this world is disgrace, and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment". 5:42 "[They are] avid listeners to falsehood, devourers of [what is] unlawful. So if they come to you, [O Muḥammad], judge between them or turn away from them. And if you turn away from them - never will they harm you at all. And if you judge, judge between them with justice. Indeed, Allāh loves those who act justly".

Question for Hadith followers. Give me the Hadith that explains the prayer fully. Or all the Hadith that are put together for the full prayers. Oh wait you can’t…. Cause they contradict each other and it’s almost impossible to find it online. The prayers were established from a bunch of Hadith with the opinions of the scholars years ago…. Hadith followers love laughing at Quran onlys for not having the full prayer (assuming salah is a ritual prayer) They can’t even find where the Hadith explains the prayer…. and even if it fully does it’s contradictory. Like wudhu for example. There are 3 hadiths that contradict eachother about it. Look at these 3 bukhari Hadith all of them are volume 1 book 4. 159, 160, 196. 159 says prophet washed the body parts once 160 says prophet washed the body parts twice 196 says face 3 times, forearms and elbows twice, wet hands lightly over head from front to rear to front again, then washed his feet an unspecified number of times. Admit it, the only reason you pray the way you do is because you follow blindly.

When you question hadith they vehemently oppose and start calling us names and declare us kafir etc. Then they say 'show me how to pray from Quran'. My reply was always logically based: prayer is observed by the massess and transcended through the ages by observation and being taught by others, no one, not a single muslim learned prayer thru hadith. Prayer existed prior to hadith and would exist with or without hadith. They ridicule my reply with more decrees of blasphemy labeling. I then decided to do my own research and read all of Book of Prayers in Sahi Bukhari and Sahi Muslim. Conclusion: it is impossible to reconstruct prayer thru hadith. The narrators don't even know themselves and are largely guessing and contradicting eachother. The narrations were painful to read, these companions seemed to come off incredibly annoying, even the Prophet(PBUH) was irritated by them. They always scream 'show me how to zakaat, pray, hajj, judge, fast from Quran' as a source of defense yet when you question them they run away. The hadith has a multi layered defense tactic: 1. Narrate something defending hadith (hadith defends hadith). 2. Tell me how the Quran was preserved (who wrote it, compiler it ect) 3. Tell me how to pray, zakaat, hajj ect from Quran, 4. Tafsirs which abrogate or deflect scrutiny of hadith. They worship it, they say accept 100% of it or you're not muslim, not a single narration can be doubted, regardless how absurd it is. This is something absolutely not acceptable, i cannot hold hadith to infallible status.Hadith is becoming exposed by questioning its own method of trying to stay important. Truth always prevails, this absurd innovation goes against Quran and associates with Allah and the Prophet(PBUH).

Somehow they have abrogated hadith narrations about zakaat and universally accepted some absurd 2.5% figure. Why? Because the rest of em state zakaat to be due in weight of palm-dates, others state gold n silver or paid thru animals. None of these can be universally held thru test of time. Likewise, they all agree on 2.5% rate from 1400y ago? How does that take into account inflation, depreciation ect, its not eternal. The Quran details hadith in many many many verses, states to give as much as you can, as often as you can and who to give it to. The Qur'ans method is universally applicable and eternally viable. These people sicken me when they question the Quran and venerate hearsay, absurd, illogical hearsay and associate it with their Prophet(PBUH), the Quran, Islam and Allah.

Quran is the word of Allah as well the Bible, as the Quran itself testify. I believe in Allah and his Word is overall. The hadiths which are authentic 100% can be helpful as support, but overall are the sacred scriptures, Surah 5:48 (just an example). No excuses

The Quran does NOT need the support of any further scriptures......especially Hadeeth sayings. Neither Allah or our beloved Profit authenticated Hadeeth literature. Allah does however mention Hadeeth in the Quran in the context that the Quran is Allah's Hadeeth that we should be following .......and not the unauthenticated Hadeeth scribed Approx. 200 to 300 years after the departure of our Profit.

The Bible is not the word of Allah. The word of Allah came through Prophet Isa at the time, the Bible is a compilation of the gospels of his companions. They are essentially the equivalent of hadiths. The equivalent of the Quran for Christian would be the sayings and teachings of Jesus, which are compiled within some of the Bible verses, but are not the Bible itself, making it hard or impossible to follow with 100% certainty on which verse is authentic, and which is not.

Just verify hadith using Qu'ran. If the hadith doesn't go against Qu'ran then that means it could be a hadith. Then we check the actual reliability. If it goes against it isn't a hadith. Simple. A lot of the signs of the day of judgement are written in hadith. While Umar (May Allah be pleased with him) is said to have burnt hadith books. As the Ummayad caliphate began. They didn't put Islamic laws in place and didn't really care about the people. Reliability of hadith had gotten so bad that Umar II had to officially make a reliable hadith book

The Sunnah(practices of a lot of people during the prophet's time) is how a believer should practice the religion based on dozens of generations dating back to the prophet's time. Hadiths however are 'stories' gathered hundreds of years after the prophet SAL's passing. Muslims believe in the holy Quran(the message of god through his messenger) and do things how early muslims used to do them during the prophet's time. The rest are hearsay/stories(hadiths). "Although the verse was revealed in connection with fai', its words are general. They are not specific to wealth. They cover all the commands as well. Hence, the generalized meaning of the verse is that whatever the Holy Prophet ﷺ gives to a person, be it wealth, any other grant or any command, the people must show their willingness to accept it. And whatever he forbids them, they should stay away from it. . Many of the Companions took the generalized sense of the verse, and on the basis of it, they took the Holy Prophet's ﷺ commandment as binding as the Qur'anic commandment. Qurtubi said that in this verse the antonym of ata [ gives ] is naha [ forbids ]. This shows that the verb ata [ gives ] is used in the sense of amara [ commands ] which is the direct antonym of naha [ forbids ]. The Qur'an, instead of using the direct opposite of naha [ forbids ] which is amara [ commands ], employed the verb ` ata [ gives ] presumably to embrace the context of the subject-matter where the verse occurs, that is, the disbursement of fai' property." . Do you stand to object to A’LLah Al’Hakeem’s statement in 6:38 and 6:114 that nothing has been omitted from the Book and that everything in it is without a doubt explained in full detail? Brothers and Sisters, come back to the Quran. You will gain A’LLah’s forgiveness. The Book is meant for each one of Al’Rahman’s servants , so we can connect to Our Rabb. The Shahada in the Quran is only for A’LLah. No other name should be joined with His. Only A’LLah’s name should be glorified in Salah and in Masjids. They have steered us away from Sole Worship which belongs to A’LLah Alone. Salah, Wudu, prayer timings and prayers are all in the Book of Guidance. There are no complete compilation prayers in hadiths.

I'm afraid you are misleading people by quoting the Qur'an out of context. The verse you are referring to 59:7 is about distribution of spoils of war and people are instructed to accept the apportionment of the Prophet. This is nothing to do with hadith stories concocted centuries afterwards. You will NOT be able to quote a single verse that tells us to follow hadith. The command to follow the Prophet is to follow what was revealed to him ie the Qur'an. Nowhere does the Qur'an give authority to the Prophet to make his own rules. You must be fully aware of the contradictory nature of hadith literature and how it's divided the muslim people into sects, so it's insincere to talk about "authentic hadith" as if they were all agreed upon. Please refrain from condemning people to hell-fire because they followed the Qur'an- the only revealed word of God. Worry about justifying yourself on the Day of Judgement, how you came to follow the hadith literature without authority from God or his Messenger.

Mohammed said somethings outside the quran and even explained some of the vocabulary of the quran and people witnessed the context of the ayats like in Surah al Masad it says "abi lahab" and when it was revealed people knew who was abi lahab because they witnessed him while Mohammed was revealing the Surah vocally, so they understood it fully (basically they witnessed the context). All I am saying is learn Islam from a scholar who is from ahl Sunna wa al jama'a or at least give it a chance then reject it if you wish. there was a group in Afghanistan that also used to reject hadith and used to explain the Quran using their "own version of Arabic" not knowing it was revealed with a different Arabic that is 1400 years old and after some time they started understanding it in a very different way and even did some questionable things that were never done by Mohammed and his companions nor by Muslims throughout history. The new testament is nonsense with no verifiable sources, whereas we know exactly where the hadiths come from and the process of verification is extremely rigorous, the two are not remotely comparable. If you are really concerned then maybe you should try researching about the sciences of Hadith and just how hard the scholars of the past worked to preserve them. You should also keep in mind that the Hadith were passed down to us by the sahaba I.e. the exact same people who passed the Quran down to us.

With all respect to Janab Mufti Menk, I am a Quran-only follower. I would like to ask a question to yourself Janab. Where in Qur'an Allah says "Obey Allah and Obey Muhammad"? There is not even a single verse in Quran which says that. Allah always says "Obey Allah and Obey the Messenger," and obeying messenger here means "obeying the message delivered by the messenger" and not obeying the personal sayings of the person of Muhammad (pbuh). The only sole duty of the messenger is to deliver the message clearly, which I need not tell the Quranic references to a scholar like you whom I also highly respect. Moreover, Allah also says in Quran that how can you believers deviate when the messenger is there amongst you. This "messenger amongst you" being alive amongst believers even now when I am writing this comment is not prophet Muhammad, but the Quran which Allah calls as "Zikran Rasoolan where the first word Zikran is place at the end of one verse and the next verse starts with Rasoolan which is a continuation of previous verse, otherwise as per Arabic grammar rules, if zikran and Rasoolan are different here, then the expression should be Zikran Rassola (and not Rasoolan) and I think a highly knowledge Arabic scholar personality like you will understand. Mufti menk plz don’t tell Allah how he should have framed verses. There are various Quranic verses which Allah puts it in a repeatable way. There is no separate meaning if Allah separates it. Allah says in Quran that a person with less imaan will try to dig in the meaning of verses which he cannot understand. So Quran should always be taken at face value with the intention of understanding it rather than deciding it. Its not an encrypted book that people should have special knowledge to understand it.

Thank you Mufti Menk for bringing up this topic! If we as Muslims are convinced to be the people that follow the final and uncorrupted religion of Allah then we also have to be confident in defending the Truth through debates. If one cannot defend his own beliefs trough words and reasoning, we can conclude that the very same person lacks a true evidence base and in conclusion only follows the sayings of the people around him. In the Quran Allah gave us a lot of examples where He has shown the Prophets (and other figures) great signs for that these people may be one of them who are convinced. On the other side it was also the Prophets who actively asked God for signs to make them one of the convinced. Prophet Moses for example was shown a mountain breaking which made him faint (Al A'raf 143). In Surah Al Baqarah verse 260 it is narrated that Prophet Abraham asked God for proofs to although he was already believing. In conclusion these narrations in the Quran show us that a person is in need of proofs to become someone convinced. Today we too often hear that as Muslims we dont need reasoning to be a believer. Rather people say reasoning is insulting to God! How can we put our Reasoning aside and blindly follow if God is countless times demands us to use our reasoning?? This in conclusion should make us followers of the final revelation think and conclude that only believing because we are told by people to believe is not a characteristic of a true believer. Rather this is the characteristic of blind followers. We have to change our approach in debating about religion since it is Rationality what God is demanding of us! This way no one who wants to stay truthful will need to resort to shouting or even threats. This is because the Truth always speaks for itself.

The Quran is sufficient, but some don’t have faith in it. They need additional sources (shirk). Applying shirk makes people a playball for evil forces (shayateen). As a result religion is becoming a tool for sectarianism with worldly goals instead of true spirituality (working towards akheera). Muslims should stop making competition of their religion. The Quran sufficient for anyone to be a true Muslim.

Salaam Mufti Menk I have a great deal of respect for you, but don't you think that those verses in the Quran which speak about following Allah and the Messenger could mean that we follow the Message of Allah (i.e. the Quran)? So in other words we follow the Messenger by following the Message of Allah revealed to him. The issue with following the hadith is in many cases they are accepted as authentic despite contradicting the Quran, as an example there are hadith that claim that the Prophet and the companions had intimate relations with slave and captive woman outside of marriage (such as Maria al-Qibtiyya) meaning that concubinage is allowed by the hadith and this allowance of an unlimited number of concubines is supposedly by Ijma (consensus) of the scholars, whereas according to the Quran you have to marry these slave women before you have intimate relations with them. The prohibition of concubinage by the Quran is supported by numerous verses such as 24:32 وَأَنكِحُوا۟* ٱلْأَيَاٰمَىاٰ مِنكُمْ وَٱلصَّاٰلِحِينَ مِنْ *عِبَادِكُمْ وَإِمَآئِكُمْ* إِن يَكُونُوا۟ فُقَرَآءَ يُغْنِهِمُ ٱللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِ وَٱللَّهُ وَاٰسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ* 24:33 * وَلْيَسْتَعْفِفِ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَجِدُونَ نِكَاحًا* حَتَّىاٰ يُغْنِيَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِ وَٱلَّذِينَ يَبْتَغُونَ ٱلْكِتَاٰبَ مِمَّا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَاٰنُكُمْ فَكَاتِبُوهُمْ إِنْ عَلِمْتُمْ فِيهِمْ خَيْرًا وَءَاتُوهُم مِّن مَّالِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّذِىٓ ءَاتَىاٰكُمْ وَلَا تُكْرِهُوا۟ فَتَيَاٰتِكُمْ عَلَى ٱلْبِغَآءِ إِنْ أَرَدْنَ تَحَصُّنًا لِّتَبْتَغُوا۟ عَرَضَ ٱلْحَيَواٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَمَن يُكْرِههُّنَّ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ إِكْرَاٰهِهِنَّ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ Translation - [ *Marry off* the single among you and *those of your male and female slaves who are fit [for marriage].* If they are poor, God will provide for them from His bounty: God’s bounty is infinite and He is all knowing. 24:32 *Those who are unable to marry should keep chaste until God gives them enough out of His bounty.* If any of your slaves wish to pay for their freedom, make a contract with them accordingly, if you know they have good in them, and give them some of the wealth God has given you. Do not force your slave-girls into prostitution, when they themselves wish to remain honourable, in your quest for the short-term gains of this world, although, if they are forced, God will be forgiving and merciful to them. 24:33] 4:24 وَٱلْمُحْصَنَاٰتُ مِنَ ٱلنِّسَآءِ إِلَّا مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَاٰنُكُمْ* كِتَاٰبَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَأُحِلَّ لَكُم مَّا وَرَآءَ ذَاٰلِكُمْ أَن تَبْتَغُوا۟ بِأَمْوَاٰلِكُم مُّحْصِنِينَ غَيْرَ مُسَاٰفِحِينَ فَمَا ٱسْتَمْتَعْتُم بِهِ مِنْهُنَّ فَـَٔاتُوهُنَّ أُجُورَهُنَّ فَرِيضَةً وَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِيمَا تَرَاٰضَيْتُم بِهِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ٱلْفَرِيضَةِ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا* 4:25 وَمَن لَّمْ يَسْتَطِعْ مِنكُمْ طَوْلًا أَن يَنكِحَ ٱلْمُحْصَنَاٰتِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنَاٰتِ فَمِن مَّا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَاٰنُكُم مِّن فَتَيَاٰتِكُمُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنَاٰتِ وَٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِإِيمَاٰنِكُم بَعْضُكُم مِّنۢ بَعْضٍ فَٱنكِحُوهُنَّ بِإِذْنِ أَهْلِهِنَّ وَءَاتُوهُنَّ أُجُورَهُنَّ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ مُحْصَنَاٰتٍ غَيْرَ مُسَاٰفِحَاٰتٍ وَلَا مُتَّخِذَاٰتِ أَخْدَانٍ فَإِذَآ أُحْصِنَّ فَإِنْ أَتَيْنَ بِفَاٰحِشَةٍ فَعَلَيْهِنَّ نِصْفُ مَا عَلَى ٱلْمُحْصَنَاٰتِ مِنَ ٱلْعَذَابِ ذَاٰلِكَ لِمَنْ خَشِىَ ٱلْعَنَتَ مِنكُمْ وَأَن تَصْبِرُوا۟ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ Translation - [ [also forbidden to you in marriage are {based on previous verse 23}] women already married, other than your slaves.God has ordained all this for you. Other women are lawful to you, so long as you seek them in marriage, with gifts from your property, looking for wedlock rather than fornication. If you wish to enjoy women through marriage, give them their bride-gift- this is obligatory- though if you should choose mutually, after fulfilling this obligation, to do otherwise [with the bride-gift], you will not be blamed: God is all knowing and all wise. 4:24 If any of you does not have the means to marry a believing free woman, then marry a believing slave- God knows best [the depth of] your faith: you are [all] part of the same family- so marry them with their people’s consent and their proper bride-gifts. [Make them] married women, not adulteresses or lovers. If they commit adultery when they are married, their punishment will be half that of free women. This is for those of you who fear that you will sin; it is better for you to practise self-restraint. God is most forgiving and merciful, 4:25] 4:3 وَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ أَلَّا تُقْسِطُوا۟ فِى ٱلْيَتَاٰمَىاٰ فَٱنكِحُوا۟ مَا طَابَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلنِّسَآءِ مَثْنَىاٰ وَثُلَاٰثَ وَرُبَاٰعَ فَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ أَلَّا تَعْدِلُوا۟ فَوَاٰحِدَةً أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَاٰنُكُمْ ذَاٰلِكَ أَدْنَىآٰ أَلَّا تَعُولُوا۟ Translation - [If you fear that you will not deal fairly with orphan girls, you may marry whichever [other] women seem good to you, two, three, or four. If you fear that you cannot be equitable [to them], then marry only one, or your slave(s): that is more likely to make you avoid bias.] So in summation, the Quran only allows free men and women to have intimate relations with slave women and men respectively within a state of marriage after the mutually agreed upon dowry has been paid, and in the case of men provided the conditions for polygamy are met they are allowed ONLY up to a maximum of 4 wives of either free or slave women. Now contrast the Quran with what many hadith claim and the Ijma of scholars on this matter and it is clear that the Quran is infinitely superior, where the hadith tradition claims that a conquered people can be enslaved and that newly enslaved woman can be bought and sold and that the owner of this female slave can have intercourse against her will. The Muslim umma has gone against the Quran on the prohibition of concubinage as early has 70 years after the death of the Prophet, and definitely by the time the Abbasids(130AH) came to power the allowance of concubinage was well established. This is just one of many issues which the "authentic" hadith tradition presents, which is fortunately absent from the Quran. I would much appreciate it if you could provide your thoughts on the matter. Salaam.

@Mohamud Ahmed the earliest hadith collections are believed to have been written during the time of Umar II which was about 100 AH, we do not have these collections and no evidence of them, the first hadith collection that we do have evidence of is the Muwatta of Imam Malik which was written around 150 AH. Regardless you still haven't been able to provide any definitive evidence from the Quran that we are required to follow the "Sunna" of the Prophet.

Those to whom We have given the Book know it is sent down from your Lord with the truth; so do not be of those who have doubt. So if the Quran is fully detailed in matters of Deen as the Quran itself claiims then why do we need the hadith? Is the Quran not fully detailed? Also the verses you cited 75:17-19 clearly state the Messenger has the responsibility of delivering the Message and Allah will explain His Message, not the Messenger.

The Quran proclaims that the Quran is complete, perfect, and fully detailed. Verses 6:114-115 explain to us what "fully detailed" means. The Quran is fully detailed for religious law and "complete in truth and justice." [Quran 6:114] Shall I seek other than God as a source of law, when He has revealed to you this book fully detailed? Those who received the scripture recognize that it has been revealed from your Lord, truthfully. You shall not harbor any doubt. [Quran 6:115] The word of your Lord is complete, in truth and justice. Nothing shall abrogate His words. He is the Hearer, the Omniscient. Hadiths contradicts with Quran because Quran is perfect. Allah says Quran is all we need. Quran it self is the sunnah and hadith.
