How true and to the point, as reading the Qur'an in numerous places states clearly that it is only the Qur'an, the Revelation of Allah that the Messenger was to convey and that is why he left no Bukharian hadith. It is an act of shirk to associate the Bukharian writings with Allah in any shape or form as a part of our Deen, way of life and anyone doing so belongs to an ajami [Allama Iqbal] religion, not a submitting to Allah one, Islam. Some more verses to ponder over 7:28 (As an example,) when people commit an indecency they say, "We found our forefathers doing it and God has enjoined it upon us" (made it natural for us). Say (O Prophet), "God never enjoins indecency. Do you attribute to God that of which you have no knowledge?" 7:29 Say (O Messenger), "My Lord enjoins justice and to stand devoted to Him alone in complete submission at all time and place. Call unto Him, sincere in your faith in Him alone. As He brought you into being in the first place, so shall you return to Him.” 7:30 Some He has guided, others have deserved straying. They take satanic people as allies instead of God, and think that they are rightly guided. [7:3, 22:13. The straying ones take their religious leadership as their masters instead of God] 7:173 Nor will any excuse avail them such as, “It was our forefathers who took false gods and we inherited their belief system. Will you punish us for what falsehood others practiced?” [You will not be questioned what others used to do. No one will bear the load of another. 2:134, 39:7] 7:174 Thus We explain Our verses in all clarity so that people return (to the Book). 7:175 And tell them what happened to him whom Our messages were conveyed but he cast them off. Thus Satan (his selfish desires) overpowered him until he became of those who lost their way. 7:176 He could have raised himself in honor according to Our laws, but he clung to the earth and followed his own desires. Therefore his likeness is as the likeness of a dog. If you scold him, he pants, or if you leave him alone, he still pants. Such is the example of the nation that belies Our revelations. So, relate this narration that they may reflect. [If it had been Our will = If he chose Our laws of humiliation. God’s revelation lightens your burdens while manmade dogmas place burdens on you. 7:157] 7:177 Evil as an example are the people who reject Our verses, since they hurt their own ‘self’.

@@truehikma What's funny is that most sectarians call Qur'an-only followers as "Quranist" even though it's already mentioned in The Qur'an that: Say, "I am not something original among the messengers, nor do I know what will be done with me or with you. I only follow that which is revealed to me, and I am not but a clear warner." @@michaelleroi8615 What I find funny and sad is that people like Paul and his Bukharian friends at speakers corner in Hyde park and elsewhere, can give a very credible answer against the atheists and Christians, no God, Trinity etc, quoting the Bible or showing no scriptural authority from it, yet they go blank where the Qur'an is concerned. The Qur'an has a trinity of verses saying that those who fail to judge everything they do by its Guidance are: 5:44 ..... And whoever fails to judge or rule by what God has revealed, such are the disbelievers (‘Kafiroon’). 5:47 Let the People of the Gospel judge by what God has revealed therein. And whoever fails to judge or rule by what God has revealed, are drifters from the right path (‘Faasiqoon’). 5:49 So judge between them by what God has revealed. And do not follow their vain desires. Beware of them, lest they divert you from some of what God has revealed to you. If they turn away from the truth, be assured that God has decided to chastise them for some of their crimes. A great many people drift away from the right path. As for going blank, the Qur'an also describes why this happens: 2:18 Deaf, dumb and blind of reason! They will not return to journey in the right direction (unless they use reason. 8:22, 16:76, 17:36). Paul comes across as a very logical and well read man, but when he cannot do basic cross-referencing of the Qur'an to remove the contradictions in Bukharianism beliefs, then having all those books is like: 62:5 (The Book of God is to be read and understood, and not placed in high niches.) The example of those who were entrusted with Torah and did not apply it in their daily lives, is that of the donkey that carries a load of books. Evil is the example of people who belie God’s revelations. God does not guide people who choose to do wrong (and displace the revelation from its rightful status). [Kizb = Belie = Give lie = Deny in practice. Kufr = Reject openly = Darkness = Denial = Ingratitude = Concealing. Zulm = Dislodge from the rightful place = Relegate the truth = Give preference to conjecture = Oppression = Wrongdoing = Violation of human rights]

Hey hadithers Does Buhkari Explain the Quran? The advocates of hadith are fond of saying that the hadith explains the Quran without which, they say the Quran cannot be understood. In other words without hadith they will have to reject the Quran or at least ignore it. The scholars also say that the hadith they call "Sahih Bukhary" is the best hadith. It can be easily proved that the hadith does not in any way explain the Quran and that the "Sahih Bukhari" is not worth the papers it is printed on. For evidence please refer to, and check all references of "Sahih Al-Bukhary" by Dr. Muhammed Muhsin Khan, Islamic University, Medina Al-Munawwara. Publisher "Kitab Bhavan, New Delhi, which is the Nine volume encyclopedia. Vol. 6 of "Sahih Al-Bukhary" is devoted to the explanation of the Quran (Tafsir). The other eight volumes prescribe things like drinking camels urine to cure fevers (vol 7, hadith no 590), burning people first and then their houses if they do not go the mosque on time, (vol.1, hadith no.626), dreaming of undressing women (vol 9, hadith no.139 and 140), using shoes to garland camels (Vol 2, hadith no 763), and other such non-sense. But let us focus on vol. 6: the explanation of the Quran by Imam Bukhary. Although the Quran has 114 suras or chapters, Bukhari does not explain all the verses in all the suras. Sura 2, Al Baqarah has 286 verses, but Bukhari only provides hadith for about 50 verses. This is slightly over 20% of Al Baqarah. Bukhari has left the Ulamma groping the dark over the remaining 80%. Sura AL Kauther (Sura 108) is the shortest sura in the Quran, only 3 verses. However Bukhari "attempts" to explain the meaning of just one word "Kauther" as sufficient to explain this whole Sura. Bukhari says; "Kauther" is a river in heaven. But simply, "Kauther" means "good in abundance". (Translation by President of Islamic research, IFAT, Saudi Arabia). This also suggests that Imam Bukhari did not know Arabic. It is a fact that Bukhari was a Persian from Bukhara and his mother tongue was Farsi. The scholars have no records to show when Bukhari learned Arabic. More about this later. The greatest surprise of all is that 28 suras of the Quran are NOT "explained" at all. The sura numbers are as follows; 23, 27, 29, 35, 51, 57, 58, 64, 67, 69, 70, 73, 76, 81, 82, 86, 88, 89, 90, 94, 100, 101, 103, 104, 105, 106, 107, and 109. Bukhari explains this away as follows "no hadith were mentioned here." According to the scholars only the Prophet is supposed to be the source of the hadith. The hadith is supposed to explain the Quran. The BIG question is, "Who went on un authorized holiday for 28 WHOLE SURAS of the Quran ?!!! The scholars insist that the hadith explains the Quran. Hence the scholars have to do away with 28 SURAS of the Quran because Bukhari did not explain these 28 SURAS.. Therefore the boast by the scholars that those who uphold the QURAN ALONE and do NOT depend on the hadith at all, cannot understand the Quran, falls FLAT on its face. The scholars are in a far worse situation. 28 Suras are missing and none of the other suras are explained in full by Bukhari. To revert to the earlier point that the Persian Bukhari may not have known Arabic, this is suggested by the way Bukhari has changed the names of certain SURAS. By itself this is a strange phenomenon. The scholars themselves do NOT know why Bukhary did this. Non-Arabs sometimes refer to a Sura by its first verse. This is because they may not have known the Arabic name for the SURA because they are not scholars of the Quran or simply because they are not Arabs. Bukhari displays the same characteristics. Sura Al Naba (Sura 68) is labelled as Sura "Amma yatasa'alun", this is actually part of the first verse of the sura.. Sura Al Baiyina (Sura 98) is labelled as Sura "Lam Yakun". Again the beginning verses. Sura Al Takwir (Sura 81) is labelled Sura "Idhash Shamsu Kuwirat". This is the start of the first verse again. Sura Al Maarij (sura 70) is labelled Sura "Sa'ala Sa'ilun". Some SURAS have been given two names. Sura Al Insan (Sura 76) is labelled Sura "Hal-Ata-insani" or Sura "Dahr". But this is a revealing point because such labeling is more akin to reciters who are not Arabs, who do not know the Arabic language. Apart from the fact that Bukhari was Persian from Bukhara many scholars believe that he was also blind. The next question is "WHO WROTE the Sahih Bukhari?!" It will also be pertinent to see how Bukhari handles some of the explanations of the verses-if and when he cares to explain them. For example some explanations end with a blank space.: Vol 6, Hadith number 50 seeks to explain Sura 2:223. After some narration it continues like this; Nafi' added regarding the verse: "So go to your tilth when or how you will. Ibn Umar said; " It means one should approach his wife in........" The explanation ends with a blank space. But not to worry. A footnote completes the picture. The footnote says "Al Bukhary left a blank space here because he was not sure of what Ibn Umar had said !." And yet this called "Sahih Al Bukhary" Perhaps this is why some scholars have much problems in this department. There is also one of the most foolish and incredible explanation by Bukhari for Sura 11:5. The beautiful meaning of the verse is actually :11:4 "To God is your return and He has power over all things." 11:5 "Behold ! They fold up their hearts, that they may be hid from him. Ah! Even when they cover themselves with their garments. He knows what they conceal, and what they reveal. For He knows well the (innermost secrets) of the hearts." 11:6 There is no moving creature on earth but its substance depends on God; He knows its resting place and its temporary deposit. All is in a clear Record." Translation by Presidency of Islamic Research, IFTA, Saudi Arabia.. This meaning is crystal clear. We all answer to God. There is nothing we can conceal from God. Every single thing that we do is in a clear Record. "Kitaab-un Maubeen". So do not think you can hide anything from God. NOW, Here is Bukhari's ridiculous explanation of the same verse in 11:5. Vol. 6 Hadith no. 203: Narrated Muhammed bin Abbad bin Jaafar that he heard Ibn Abbas reciting: " No doubt! they fold up their breasts." 11:5 and asked him about the explanation. He said, "Some people used to hide themselves while answering the call of nature in an open space lest they be exposed to the sky, so the above revelation was sent down regarding them. According to Bukhari, the whole purpose of this narration was to tell the Sahaba that God could see them defecating and sleeping in the desert!. According to Bukhari's logic then, after this verse was revealed, the Sahaba who travelled with their wives in the desert lost all their inhibitions, since God could see them anyway. No need to hide anything. Similarly Bukhari twists sura 5:87. To explain "5:87" Bukhari first quotes it partially only, not in full, as follows : "O you who believe DO NOT make unlawful the good things which God has made for you" 5:87 The explanation by Bukhari (Vol.6 Hadith no. 139) is as follows : Narrated Abdullah "We used to participate in holy wars conducted by the prophet and we had no women with us. So, we said (to the prophet) "Shall we castrate ourselves "? But the prophet forbade us to do that and therefore he allowed us to marry a woman temporarily) by giving her even a garment, and then the prophet recited. "O you who believe ! Do not make unlawful for you...."There is a footnote "Temporary marriage (Mut'a) was allowed in the early days of Islam., but later, at the time of the Khaibar Battle, it was prohibited (God knows it better)." The uncertainty in the footnote lends support to the fact that this is an evil lie against God and the prophet by Bukhari. Sura 5:87 is actually as follows : O you who believe, do not prohibit good things that are made lawful by God, and do not aggress; God dislikes the aggressors. Is prostitution an excess ? Worse than that it is an evil. Which Muslim scholar will allow his daughter to receive "even a garment" as a payment for temporarily servicing the lusts of some Sahaba ? Note how the Bukhari has the sahaba coolly suggesting "Shall we castrate ourselves ?" as though it is done every morning after breakfast. In Sura 24:33 God and the messenger told us: Those who cannot afford to get married shall maintain morality until God provides for them from His grace. Those among your servants who wish to be freed in order to marry, you shall grant them their wish, once you realize that they are honest. And give them from God's money that He has bestowed upon you. You shall not force your girls to commit prostitution, seeking the materials of this world, if they wish to be chaste. If anyone forces them, then God, seeing that they are forced, is Forgiver, Merciful.

Like Moses (as) chasing a stone that apparently ran away with his clothes! The reason for this was so that Allah can prove to the Children of Israel that Moses (as) had perfect looking testicles. Yes, this is Sahih hadeeth found in Bukhari!!! Another hadeeth tells us that Moses (as) slapped the angel of death while trying to collect his soul. We are then told that the angel of death informs Allah of this and then Allah tells the angel to go back and tell Moses to place his hand on the back of an Ox. And how ever many hairs he sees on his hand, he can live for that many more years. According to this hadeeth, not only does the angel fail to collect the soul of Moses, but apparently Allah leaves it to chance!! Yes, this is another Sahih hadeeth!!! Are we to believe this ridiculous nonsense??? I thought I was losing my mind because everyone is upholding these Sahih hadeeths. I then tossed all this rubbish aside and started focuses on the Qur'an. That's when the Verses made sense and became crystal clear! [69:51] “And indeed, this ˹Quran˺ is the absolute truth.” [77:50]So in which hadith after it (Quran) do they believe? [7:185] Which hadith after it (Quran) do they believe in? [6:112-113] And thus We have made for every prophet an enemy - devils from mankind and jinn, inspiring to one another decorative speech in deception. But if your Lord had willed, they would not have done it, so leave them and that which they invent. And [it is] so the hearts of those who disbelieve in the Hereafter will incline toward it and that they will be satisfied with it and that they will commit that which they are committing. [31:6] And of the people is he who buys the idle / frivolous tales (lahw al-hadith) to mislead [others] from the way of God without knowledge and who takes it in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment. [45:6] These are the verses of Allah which We recite to you in truth. Then in what statement (hadith) after Allah and His verses will they believe? [68:37] Or do you have some book in which you are studying? [68:36-38] What is (the matter) with you? How do you judge? Or do you have a book in which you learn that indeed for you in it is whatever you choose? [6:155] And this is a blessed Book which We brought down, so follow it and be reverent so that you may attain mercy. [6:114 part] Then is it other than Allah I should seek as judge while it is He who has revealed to you the Book explained in detail? [5:44 part]… And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed - then it is they who are the disbelievers (kafirun). [39:23] Allah has sent down the best discourse, a book containing subjects resembling each other, mentioned again and again.... .This is the Guidance of Allah with which He brings to the right path whomsoever He wills. As for the one whom Allah lets go astray, for him there is no one to guide. [7:2-3] A Book has been brought down to you, so let there be no constraint in your chest because of it, and so that you may warn with it. It is a Reminder for the believers. [7:3] Follow what has been brought down to you from your Lord and do not follow any allies besides Him. Rarely do you remember! [46:9] Say (O Muhammad), "I am not a novelty among the messengers, nor do I know what will happen to me or to you. I follow nothing other than what is revealed to me (Quran). I am no more than a clear warner." [10:15] When Our clear revelations are recited to them, those who do not expect to meet Us say ˹to the Prophet˺, “Bring us a different Quran or make some changes in it.” Say ˹to them˺, “It is not for me to change it on my own. I only follow what is revealed to me. I fear, if I were to disobey my Lord, the punishment of a tremendous Day.” [6:38] And there is no creature on (or within) the earth or bird that flies with its wings except (that they are) communities like you. We have not neglected in the Book (Quran) a thing. Then unto their Lord they will be gathered. [39:25] Those who lived before them did [too] give the lie to the truth - whereupon suffering befell them without their having perceived whence it came.. [12:111] There was certainly in their stories a lesson for those of understanding. Never was the Qur’an a narration invented, but a confirmation of what was before it and a detailed explanation of all things and guidance and mercy for a people who believe. [25:33] And they do not come to you with an argument except that We bring you the truth and the best explanation (ahsan tafsir). [25:1] Blessed is He who sent down the Criterion upon His Servant that he may be to the worlds a warner -

@@BloggingTheology Hi, you’ve explained the Sunni argument very well, almost as well as they have been doing for hundreds of years. In future before quoting a verse or sentence from a book make sure you do it in context. For example the Quran 4:59 is following 4:58 where Allah makes commandments. From my understanding the entire Surah Al-Nisa is dedicated to commandments and laws which was foreign to the Arab world. Allah wants these commandments obeyed. When we are asked to obey Allah and His Messenger (PBUH) we are asked to follow the Quran. If Allah had said obey Me that’s confusing as Allah has revealed other books with its own laws, so Allah refers to Mohamed (PBUH) too. As God says in Quran 4:58 He is All Hearing All Seeing and in 4:59 He refers to those that seek judgment from false judges. When one accepts Islam it’s best to follow the Quran with reasoning. It is Justice, Mercy and a reminder for mankind and Jinn.

From lot of what I hear and understand, there are two things (may be more) which are disturbing: 1. Quran verses are often not fully understood, are translated with hasty and superficial. So much of what The Creator has wanted to revealed to mankind is being omitted or passed over. So you may miss points and come to the conclusion, that The Religion of The Almighty is not adequate. 2. Looking for unnecessary information in the Quran. E.g. The Almighty tells us to pay Zakaat. Is that not enough to pay Zakaat? No, because now we want to know how much and when and how often and over what possessions and all type of other details, to finally conclude Quran is not detailed. So The Almighty says: "Quran is complete and fully detailed", and we say: "No it is not!" There are many more examples. Sura 25:30 gives a clear warning.

You made mistake as the others did. Quran didn’t say follow Muhammad (pbuh), it says follow the messenger i.e. the message he received. And Allah says, ‘Quran is the best Hadith’(39:23). And the sunnah means practice or way. All the ritual practices existed from Abraham (pbuh): Salah, siyam, jakat, hajj ( ref. Quran 21:71-73). Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was instructed to follow the religion of Abraham in many verses of the Quran (2:135; 16:123;3:67-68).And he named us Muslim. Conversely, if you follow the existing hadith books you will find so many contradictory narratives which led you to only discord and disagreement. So do your research more.

Obeying the messenger according to Qur'an: There are no less than 332 Quranic verses which contain instructions from God to Muhammad to "SAY" to the people specific words. In turn, God commanded the believers to obey the messenger when he "says" to them the Quranic words he was commanded to "SAY" to them. The following are some examples: Say (O Muhammad), "Shall I take other than God as an ally, the Initiator of the heavens and the earth; the One who feeds and is not fed?" Say (O Muhammad), "I am commanded to be the first to submit," and do not be of the mushrikeen. 6:14 Say (O Muhammad), "Who can save you from the darkness of the land and the sea?" You implore Him humbly and secretly: "If He saves us from this, we would be among the thankful." 6:63 Say (O Muhammad), "God saves you from it, and from every affliction, then you still commit shirk." 6:64 Say (O Muhammad), "He is the One capable of sending a punishment upon you, from above you or from beneath your feet, or turn you into confused factions and have you taste the might of one another. See how We diversify the revelations so that they may understand." 6:65 Say (O Muhammad), "Come let me recite to you what your Lord has prohibited for you: Do not associate anything with Him, and treat your parents kindly. Do not kill your children because of poverty; We provide for you and for them. Do not come near immoralities, the apparent of it as well as the concealed. Do not kill any person; God has prohibited that, except in the course of justice. That is what He instructed you to do, so perhaps you will reason. 6:151 Say (O Muhammad), "Who prohibited the zinat of God which He has produced for His servants and the good provisions?" Say, "They are, during the worldly life, for those who believe, and are exclusively theirs on the Day of Resurrection." We thus detail the revelations for people who know. 7:32 Say (O Muhammad), "My Lord has only prohibited immoralities, what is apparent of them and what is concealed, and the sins, and unjustified aggression, and that you associate with God that for which He has not brought down any authorisation, and to say about God what you know not." 7:33 Say (O Muhammad), "Do your work, for God will see your work, and so will His messenger and the believers. Then you will be returned to the Knower of the unseen and the seen, and He will inform you of what you used to do." 9:105 The above are 8 examples of authentic "SAYINGS" that Muhammad was commanded to "SAY" to the people. The content of such verses therefore contain the words of Muhammad that we must obey. These are the "SAYINGS" of Muhammad that are authenticated by God in the Holy Quran. Besides the 8 examples above, there are 324 other verses in the Quran, yes, 324 other verses that all include commands from God to Muhammad to "SAY" to the people specific words, and for the people to obey such words. All 332 such verses constitute the legitimate reason as to why it was necessary for God to command the believers to "obey the messenger." B- Who among the companions of prophet Muhammad ever heard any of God's revelations directly from God? No one! Consequently, they cannot obey God except through what came out of Muhammad's mouth. This makes it necessary for God to command the people to obey the messenger since he is the one who delivers to them God's message. Moreover, the messenger did not just deliver the Quran and vanish! Prophet Muhammad spent all his his years from the time he received the first revelation until his death, inviting his people to believe in the Quran and to follow it. Hence it is necessary for God to include the command to "obey the messenger" who is inviting them to accept the message (Quran). C- The Quran was revealed to prophet Muhammad in order to deliver it to a community which was primarily populated by idol worshippers as well as followers of the previous Scriptures, namely Jews and Christians (Nasara). For the benefit of the followers of the previous Scriptures, we understand the necessity of the phrase "obey the messenger". If the command in the Quran did not contain the phrase "obey the messenger" but only a command to "obey God", the Jews and the Christians (Nasara) would say: "But we already obey God! God has sent us the Scripture and we obey it". Hence, the Quranic command to "obey the messenger" who brings the new message, endorses the new message (Quran) and not just the previous Scriptures. The Quran was indeed delivered to all mankind and is the final revelation from God to all mankind (33:40) and therefore, the Quran supersedes all previous Scriptures: And We brought down to you (O Muhammad) the Book with truth, confirming what came before it of the Scripture and superseding it. 5:48 2- The duty of the messenger Obey God and obey the messenger, and beware: if you turn away, then know that the sole duty of Our messenger is the clear delivery (of the message of God). 5:92 Obey God and obey the messenger. If you turn away, then the sole duty of the messenger is the clear delivery (of the message of God). 64:12 The duty of the messenger is well defined in the above Quranic words. These verses tell us that the only duty of any messenger is to deliver God's message. It follows that in the case of prophet Muhammad, his only duty was to deliver the message of God (Quran). We also have in the above Quranic verses a very strong link between: 1- Obeying the messenger 2- The sole duty of the messenger was to deliver the message By adding 1 + 2 = Our obligation is to obey the message he delivered. The word 'messenger' is derived from the word 'message'. A messenger delivers a message. If there were no message there would be no messenger. 3- Is it obey "Muhammad" or "obey the messenger"? God is the most efficient in expressing any meaning. All Quranic words are chosen by God to convey a precise meaning. There are no coincidental words in the Quran. We never read anywhere in the Quran words such as "Obey God and obey Muhammad" or obey Jesus, or Moses. The words used are always "obey the messenger". This is to emphasise that it is the "message" of God that is to be obeyed and not the personal words or views of the messenger. The confirmation that the obedience is related to the "message" and not the person is further reinforced in the Quranic words which assert that the only duty of the messenger is to deliver God's message: 5:99 The sole duty of the messenger is the delivery (of God's message), and God knows what you reveal and what you conceal. 5:99

Dont be fooled guys, without the sunnah, we wouldn't even know how to pray correctly. Also take a look at this verse: Al-Baqarah 2:129 رَبَّنَا وَٱبْعَثْ فِيهِمْ رَسُولًا مِّنْهُمْ يَتْلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَٰتِكَ وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَٱلْحِكْمَةَ وَيُزَكِّيهِمْۚ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ Our Lord! Send amongst them a Messenger of their own (and indeed Allah answered their invocation by sending Muhammad ﷺ), who shall recite unto them Your Verses and instruct them in the Book (this Qur’an) and Al-Hikmah (full knowledge of the Islamic laws and jurisprudence or wisdom or Prophethood), and purify them. Verily! You are the All-Mighty, the All-Wise." --------------------------------------- As you can see, Allah sent the Quran, but also the Hikmah, or wisdom. If the Sunnah Hadiths are so important then it raises the question why they were not written down at the time of the Prophet Muhammad just as the Quranic verses were written in order to prevent them being lost. Issues like how to pray are not passed on through hadith but by tradition, from one generation to the next, person to person, parent to child etc

We were entrusted with the Qur'an but follow 'scholars', Bukhari, Hamafi madhab etc which is what the Jews did, they neglected the true Taurat of Allah for their rabbinical teachings, and this is how the Qur'an addresses those who do this and follow numerous scholars and their numerous interpretations, rulings etc> 62:5 (The Book of God is to be read and understood, and not placed in high niches.) The example of those who were entrusted with Torah and did not apply it in their daily lives, is that of the donkey that carries a load of books. Zulm = Dislodge from the rightful place = Relegate the truth = Give preference to conjecture = Oppression = Wrongdoing = Violation of human rights] Qur'an alone or shirk idolatry!

Death for apostasy is in Hadith but in Qur'an it's clearly mentioned in these three following signs: There shall be no compulsion in [acceptance of] the religion. The right course has become clear from the wrong. So whoever disbelieves in Taghut and believes in Allah has grasped the most trustworthy handhold with no break in it. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing. (2:256) And say, "The truth is from your Lord, so whoever wills - let him believe; and whoever wills - let him disbelieve." Indeed, We have prepared for the wrongdoers a fire whose walls will surround them. And if they call for relief, they will be relieved with water like murky oil, which scalds [their] faces. Wretched is the drink, and evil is the resting place. (18:29) For you is your religion, and for me is my religion. (109:6)

Salam Alaikum. I have 12 simple questions for Traditional Muslims, and I hope you could be the first person to attempt in answering them, God-willing: *1)* Throughout the Quran, we frequently see its self-reference to itself as “Al-Quran”. Why then is there not a single place in the entire Quran where a SECONDARY scripture or divine revelation called “As-Sunnah” (the Sunnah) or “Al-Hadith An-Nabawi” (the Prophetic Hadith) is likewise mentioned? Doesn’t the Quran constantly claim that it is clear & straightforward? How then could God take the time to mention something as seemingly trivial as onions and lentils (Quran 2:61), and yet fail to clearly identify the MOST IMPORTANT source of guidance & revelation that all believers for all times are FOREVER required to follow as religious guidance? (i.e the alleged Sunnah) *2)* Why do the words “Hadith” and “Sunnah” nevertheless amazingly appear over and over again throughout the Quran, yet never ONCE refer to what traditional Muslims use them as? (as the inspired words & teachings of the Prophet). Not only this, but the words “Sunnah” and “Hadith” are in fact often used throughout the Quran in ways that refer to the supremacy & exclusive authority of the Quran ITSELF, thus foreshadowing in an almost taunting manner what traditional Muslims would later come to believe about the “prophetic Hadith” and the alleged idea of ‘dual revelation’ (See for example Q 77:50, 46:5, 39:23). If there was ACTUALLY a second scripture or revelation ordained by God called the ‘Sunnah/Hadith’, wouldn’t this be extremely deceptive and misleading? *3)* Why does the Quran constantly make mention of itself and it’s perfect guidance, lack of contradictions, and promise of its preservation, and so on, yet make NO such magnificent claims about the Sunnah if it is indeed a co-authoritative revelation of God to humanity? Wouldn’t we at least expect that the Quran ONCE adds something like the phrase “ والسنة” (‘and the Sunnah’) in these numerous verses where the Quran alone is uniquely mentioned as the supreme guidance & sacred revelation that God has sent down? *4)* Why does the so-called Prophetic Sunnah (as supposedly codified in the Hadith) contradict the Quran in so many significant ways? For example, so-called “Sahih” Hadiths tell us that tiger and dogs are forbidden (haram) to eat, whereas the Quran is manifestly clear-multiple times, in fact-that the ONLY four Haram foods are carrion, blood, pig’s meat, and idol-offerings, and NOTHING more (Quran 6:145). Or for example, Sahih Hadiths tell is that the Prophet will be an intercessor on Judgement Day for those in his Ummah who committed MAJOR sins, whereas the Quran clearly states that ANYONE who commits major sins and fails to repent will be condemned to Hell, and will have NO protector, intercessor, or savior. How can these Hadith teachings be a “commentary” on the Quran (as sunnis believe about the Hadith) when they blatantly contradict the Qur’an? (P.S. Ask me for any specific references if needed). *5)* Why do you say that the Hadith is a commentary on the Quran in the first place, when we know that the Hadith is actually just a collection of isolated reports & disjointed sayings/doings attributed to the Prophet and his companions, with less than 1% actually being direct commentary on the Quran? How can one claim this especially when considering the numerous clear & massive contradictions between the Quran and Hadith as pointed out above? *6)* Why does the Quran constantly make mention of the Torah and Gospel, as well as the Psalms and other revealed scriptures of God-and call these “guidance” (hudā) and “beacons of light” (nūr)-while NO such honorable mention is EVER made of the supposed ’SECOND REVELATION’ that God allegedly sent down to the Prophet as the inspired ‘Sunnah’? How could God POSSIBLY fail to prioritize the divine identification of the Sunnah/Hadith-which is supposedly INDISPENSABLE for understanding the Quran itself-and yet constantly make mention of the amazing wonder & authority of the PREVIOUS scriptures & revelations, which we aren’t even required to follow anymore? Once again, wouldn’t this seem to be gravely misleading? *7)* If we got rid of the Quran and just kept all of the authoritative Hadith, don’t you think that the current religion of Sunni Islam would still be perfectly intact? In other words, isn’t the Hadith alone sufficient for nearly everything you need to practice traditional Islam in its current form? What then is the need for the Quran under this framework? What other essential use or practical value does the Quran ACTUALLY provide that the Hadith cannot? In fact, isn’t this why the Sunni Muslim scholars of the past themselves were forced to admit that “the Quran is in MORE need of the Sunnah than the Sunnah is in need of the Quran”? *8)* Why is there such a huge difference between the structure of the Quran and the structure of the Hadith if they are both indeed co-equal legally-binding divine revelations inspired by God? For example, the Quran is preserved word-for-word, whereas the Hadith is mainly preserved meaning-to-meaning; the Quran is unique in style and incredibly easy to memorize & recite, whereas the Hadith is clearly human literature and was not made for easy memorization; the Quran has a set ‘canon’ that is more-or-less unanimously agreed upon and was transmitted as such en masse, whereas the Hadith consists of thousands of disjointed unrelated reports that had to be individually collected by often just 1 or 2 narrators, and vigorously authenticated using human-devised methods of verification; and the list goes on. If BOTH the Quran and the Sunnah were equally divine revelations of God, why is this the case? Yet isn’t this EXACTLY what one would expect if people FALSELY attributed a human work of literature as being divine revelation alongside God’s true word? *9)* If you were to hand a copy of the Quran to an unbiased stranger who spoke fluent classical Arabic, and had them read the Quran for the first time, from beginning to end, and with no other source of information-would they come back to you confused and puzzled, and be asking you for the secondary scripture & co-divine revelation called the “Prophetic Sunnah & Hadith” that they were allegedly supposed to read about in the Quran? *10)* The Quran mentions that the Jinn (the beings of the unseen realm; the parallel creation to us human beings) can actually hear the Quran being recited and follow it as such (see Quran 72:1); thus we amazingly learn that the Quran is even a source of guidance for Jinn themselves. Therefore, is it required for the Jinn to follow the Sunnah & Hadith? If not, why not? But if so, how so? What model do you propose for such a thing to work? *11)* We already know and AGREE that the previous generations before us who were given scripture & prophethood by Allah (SWT) went far astray and added all sorts of falsehoods and fake traditions to their religion, including the Talmud of the Jews (who also interestingly claim that it contains ancient traditions of Moses passed down as commentary on the Torah) as well as the writings of Paul & the early Church fathers, whom Christians have essentially given precedence over Jesus’ own words and have thereby begun to worship the Trinity and hold other serious false beliefs, which can even lead one to eternal damnation on Judgement Day. With this frightening reality in mind, shouldn’t we be wary that WE too might also have gone astray from the pure teachings of God in the Quran? Wouldn’t it be utterly FOOLISH and CARELESS of us to ignore the warnings of Allah (SWT) about the historical corruptions & fabrications of the people of divine Scripture before us, and thus fail to consider that we TOO might be deviating from the right path just as they once did?... Indeed, when Prophet Moses left his people for just 40 days to meet with God, he came back to find them committing no less than the most heinous & atrocious sin of worshipping a carved idol, even after they had seen all that God did for them in Egypt. That was after 40 DAYS; what then do you think of the Prophet’s followers after 1,400 years?... *12)* Finally, what WOULD the Quran actually have to say for you to accept that it is the ONLY revelation brought down from God to the Prophet? The Quran already says countless times that it is clear & lucid, sufficient for guidance, detailed & self-explanatory, unmatched & supreme, and perfectly preserved-so what else could the Quran POSSIBLY say for you to realize that it is indeed what it claims to be, and that no other scriptures or revelations are mandated on us to follow? I hope you will contemplate on these questions deeply & sincerely, and reflect with a clear & open mind. I look forward to your response. Much Salam.

Muhammad was a prophet and a messenger. As a messenger he had the duty of delivering the God’s message as it was revealed to him; no more no less. In his role as a messenger, he was Infallible, but in his role as prophet he was a human being prone to making mistakes or wrong judgments. As a prophet he had to rule by interpreting the laws revealed to him within his capacity as a human being, and in a manner suitable for the time and place in which he lived. His day-to-day rulings as a prophet are not binding to the Muslims of the following generations and certainly not if they are living in different parts of the world and have different cultures. Unlike the message he delivered, i.e. the Qur’an, it is binding for all the believers, anywhere and anytime. Often people, even some scholars, do not pay attention to the way Muhammad is addressed in the Qur’an for shariah matters, or any other purpose. In Surat Al Nissa, the aya “59” refer to Muhammad the messenger not the prophet. There are many instances where people came to Muhammad, when he was alive, to rule in some matter and if he did not have an answer, he would wait till he gets one from Allah. Before His death Allah declared that He perfected the religion for us (Aya 3 in Al Ma’ida chapter 5). So, after the death of the Muhammad, the reference to both Allah and the Messenger is done by referring to the Qur’an. As for those “in authority”, as much as those who call themselves “Ulama” would interpret this to be them; this is not true. If I have a dispute with a contractor who built me a house, we do not go to one of the Ulamas; rather we go or the court refers us, to a neutral party with good knowledge about the problem. If the mechanic did a bad job repairing my car the judge between us will be a neutral mechanic or Engineer not a professor of Sharia. Same goes for all kind of disputes. One must go to a party with authority and knowledge about the subject. To argue that the Hadith complements the Qur’an, goes against the Qur’an itself. It portrays the Qur’an as incomplete or unclear. Many verses in the Qur’an stress on that the Qur’an is clear and contains every needed shariah-wise. It further portrays incomplete work by Muhammad, who made sure the Qur’an verses were written and memorized but seems to have neglected to do the same to the hadith. Nor did the First Califs perform this duty also, while in the of Othman The Qur’an was written and copies made and sent to the major cities. If it part of the religion why was it not recorded then??? It will take tens of pages to discuss the subject of the hadith, but I will refer to the “aya No. 82 of Surat Al Nissa Chapter 4” where Allah clearly states “Do they not consider the Qur’an (with care)? Had it been from other than God they would surely have found therein much discrepancy.” The hadiths or the traditions are full of discrepancies, inconsistencies and contradictions. Many of these hadiths are in contradiction with the Qur’an as well. I could go on and on, but I think the above should suffice as a tiny sample of this dilemma.

He does quote hadiths in his videos but I hope that no matter how eloquent they are and spot on the topic, they are not laws rather just words of wisdom. It amazes me how Muslims are so easily falling for the same scheme: Jews have their Talmud that deviated them from the Thora, Christians have their “Gospels according to this and that” that became the New Testament with all the contradictions it brought vs the Injeel and now… Guess what… we have Hadiths that contradict the Quran yet are blindly followed by a majority of Muslims. History is repeating itself yet we can’t see it and are very eager to point our finger at other people’s issues. I am not a Quranist or wear any label. Not a au min or Shia or whatever just a person who believes in Allah and His message as ordained in His Quran.

@wim develder Bukhari, Muslim, Tirmidhi, Ibn majah, ahmed, Nis'ai, Abi dawood, etc all these are people who *collected* the sayings of the prophet(saws) in one place by proving the chains of narrations, hadiths which was already written & memorized by 1000s of other major scholars of that time.. they did by as much as they can travel, argue, cross-verified by others' testimonies, and gain knowledge from the most reliable scholars who saved authentic knowledge with them, they were whole schools.. starting from Prophet(saws) to sahaba, then taba'in & taba taba'in.. They are not laymen who transferred the knowledge but the hadith sciences are so strict which makes the hadith collections more authentic than any other historical records. That's what Allah swt is saying to follow the Prophet.. Rejecting the life & sayings of the prophet certainly makes you munafiq if not kafir.

As a new Muslim revert, I was looking for a podcast to listen to during my one hour commute to quench my spiritual thirst. One of the very first that popped up on Spotify was “Quran Talk.” It took me a couple of episodes to realize that what they were saying was slightly off, about Mohammed (pbh) and intercession and other things until I finally looked into it and discovered what Quranism was. I must admit prior to being a Muslim I also find the idea of hadiths to be confusing and unnecessary. The Quran says it’s the only book that is needed, right? So why do Muslims need hadiths? It was only in further study and inquiry that I built a better understanding of the importance of hadith and their place in the deen. Soubhainallah it is such a blessing to be guided to the right path. But there are branches of this path that aren’t “completely right” and as a new Muslim it can be very confusing as to what to believe and what to disregard.

I think the fundamental problem is that Quranists want to use ijtihad to decide items for themselves. In a world where people have a much higher level of education and questioning is promoted, this is an inevitable result. Their thought... "Why should I trust a scholar from a thousand years ago versus my own logic?" If we train people how to use ijtihad properly, then I think the Quranists will be appeased and we will see a better consensus across the Muslim ummah. Maybe you should do a video on ijtihad?

@@adelseddouki3375 You may add the words 'so-called muslims' or what I have termed Bukharian, for those following the mixed up and shirk infested religion they have today, in the following: 2:120 Yet, never will the Jews be pleased with you, nor will the Christians, unless you follow their form of religion. Say, “God’s Guidance - it is the only Guidance.” And if you follow their wishes and errant views after the Knowledge that has come to you, then you will find no ally or helper against God. [7:3, 10:109, 13:37. It is not a matter of my religion or your religion. Al-Qur’an is the updated, unadulterated Message from the same Creator Who revealed the previous Scriptures] 2:121 Those to whom We have given the Book study and follow it as it should be studied and followed. They are the ones who truly believe in it. And whoever rejects it, such are the losers. [10:58] There is no verse in the Qur'an to say the Messenger was authorised to relay his hadith and sunnah, none stating that we can follow Bukharain hadith and Imam sunnahs, but numerous saying the above; FOLLOW ONLY THE QUR'AN. Every verse they quote to prove hadith and sunnah worship does not contain these words and are a gross misinterpretation, great deception on their part, which says it all. Here is another verse for the Bukharians to ignore: 2:165 Yet, among mankind there are those who choose others as equals to God. They love them as they should love God. But the believers are staunch in their love for God. Oh, if the transgressors could see themselves when they face the doom - They would then realize that all power belongs to God alone and that God is Stern in punishment. [3:30-31, 7:3. In the Qur’an, reverence or love of God invariably denotes obeying His commands. Hubb = Love = Adoring by obeying = To revere by following commands. Nidd = False god = One who tries to play god. Example: Pharaoh tried to equal God 43:51. Andaad = Those who play god = Political tyrants = Religious leaders who issue edicts contrary to the Divine revelation. God being stern in punishment means His laws of Requital favoring none] 2:166 Then those who were followed (the political and religious leaders) will renounce their followers, as soon as they see the impending doom, and all their mutual bonds will be rent asunder. 2:167 The followers will say, “If a return were possible for us, we would renounce them as they have renounced us.” Thus will God let them experience their own deeds as anguish; but they will not emerge from the fire of Regret. 2:168 (Declaring things permissible or forbidden is trying to ‘rival’ God.) O Mankind! Partake and enjoy the lawful, good and wholesome things of the earth, and do not follow the footsteps of the Satan. Indeed, he is an open enemy to you. [Satan, the rebellious desires, and satanic people lead people into transgressing. Mubeen = Open = Obvious = Known. 7:22] 2:169 He teaches you to create inequities in the society, lewdness and stinginess amounting to shame, and that you should say about God what you do not know. [‘Fahasha’ = Lewdness = Stinginess to the point of shame = Indecent acts. The satans in the society set up rules contrary to the Divine revelation. They make their own lists of permissible and forbidden and teach people that accumulation of wealth is perfectly alright. Nay, spend on God’s servants all that is beyond your needs. 2:21-22, 2:219, 41:10] 2:170 When it is said to them, "Follow what God has revealed", they say, "Nay! We will follow the ways of our ancestors.” What! Even though their ancestors (and the ancient Imams) were lacking in understanding and were not rightly guided? [5:104, 10:78, 11:62, 11:87, 21:53, 34:43, 38:7, 43:23. Hudan and derivatives = Prominent = Bright = Lighted = Clearly visible = Leading = Guidance = Lighthouse = A well-lit road = A landmark of identification in the desert or sea] 2:171 The likeness of such blind followers is that (of a herd of sheep) which hear the shepherd’s call, but hear in it nothing more than a sound and a shout. Deaf, dumb, blind, for they do not use their reason. [This is subhuman level of existence 7:179. ‘Unq = Shepherd’s call. Shepherd here pertains to religious leaders who have learned some meaningless words or tenets, and a herd of sheep is the masses that blindly follow them. [33:67] And they will say: “O our Sustainer! Behold, we paid heed unto our leaders and our great men, and it is they who have led us astray from the right path Many Muslims simply follow nothing but assumption that the hearsay that is the hadith are the true statements of prophet Muhammad. Indeed, assumption avails not against the truth at all. Indeed, Allah is Knowing of what they do. (10:36) The only truth (35:31) that has not been corrupted (15:9) is the word of God, namely the Quran Many Muslims believe that it’s okay to just believe and follow what everyone else does without thinking and seeking proof to support their beliefs and actions. However, God gave everyone a brain and expects everyone to use it to think and see proof before following any particular practice. As a matter of fact, God considers people who don’t use their God-given brains to be worse than cows that just blindly follow one another. إِنَّ شَرَّ الدَّوَابِّ عِندَ اللَّهِ الصُّمُّ الْبُكْمُ الَّذِينَ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ Indeed, the worst of living creatures in the sight of Allah are the deaf and dumb who do not use reason. They have hearts with which they do not understand, they have eyes with which they do not see, and they have ears with which they do not hear. Those are like cattle; rather, they are more astray. It is they who are the heedless. (7:179) أَمْ تَحْسَبُ أَنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ يَسْمَعُونَ أَوْ يَعْقِلُونَ ۚ إِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا كَالْأَنْعَامِ ۖ بَلْ هُمْ أَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا Or do you think that most of them hear or reason? They are not except like cattle. Rather, they are [even] more astray in [their] way. (25:44) The verses above make it clear that we must use reason (think with our brains to make logical decisions) and that people who don’t bother to see, listen, and think are worse than cows as they live astray following nothing but assumption. Can you follow a practice without understanding it? Many Muslims think it is acceptable to just follow a certain practice, e.g. believing in the hadeeth, without first understanding or seeing proof as to the validity of the practice. However, God instructs in the Quran that one is to not follow something without first understanding it. وَلَا تَقْفُ مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهِ عِلْمٌ ۚ إِنَّ السَّمْعَ وَالْبَصَرَ وَالْفُؤَادَ كُلُّ أُولَٰئِكَ كَانَ عَنْهُ مَسْئُولًا And do not pursue that of which you have no knowledge. According to the Qur'an, the Qur'an is a complete and perfect guide. So, in fact everything related to Islamic teachings is present and clear in it. As you may be aware, the Qur'an consistently places Allah and the Qur'an in a position as a prime role holder and becomes the top, first and foremost reference. Hadith is the application of the teachings of the Qur'an. There is nothing wrong by referring to the hadith. But, first and foremost, Muslims must refer to the Qur'an. The month of Ramadhan [is that] in which was revealed the *Qur'an,* a *guidance* for the people and *clear proofs* of *guidance and criterion.* So whoever sights [the new moon of] the month, let him fast it; and whoever is ill or on a journey - then an equal number of other days. Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship and [wants] for you to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful. Qur'an Al-Baqarah 2:185 *Qur'an* is a Book whose verses are *perfected* and then *presented in detail* الٓرۚ كِتَٰبٌ أُحْكِمَتْ ءَايَٰتُهُۥ ثُمَّ فُصِّلَتْ مِن لَّدُنْ حَكِيمٍ خَبِيرٍ أَلَّا تَعْبُدُوٓا۟ إِلَّا ٱللَّهَۚ إِنَّنِى لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌ وَبَشِيرٌ وَأَنِ ٱسْتَغْفِرُوا۟ رَبَّكُمْ ثُمَّ تُوبُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِ يُمَتِّعْكُم مَّتَٰعًا حَسَنًا إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى وَيُؤْتِ كُلَّ ذِى فَضْلٍ فَضْلَهُۥۖ وَإِن تَوَلَّوْا۟ فَإِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ كَبِيرٍ Alif, Lam, Ra. *[This is] a Book* whose verses are *perfected* and then *presented in detail* from [one who is] Wise and Acquainted. [Through a messenger, saying], "Do not worship except Allah . Indeed, I am to you from Him a warner and a bringer of good tidings," And [saying], "Seek forgiveness of your Lord and repent to Him, [and] He will let you enjoy a good provision for a specified term and give every doer of favor his favor. But if you turn away, then indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a great Day. Qur'an Hud 11:1-3

The debate wether we should follow Hadith or not is an age old debate that goes back to the ideological war between ahel al kalam ( quranists mu tazrla) and ahel al hadith ( sunnis and shia) apparently ahel al hadith won. The problem that rises with following hadith is first of all we can’t prove its authenticity, second thing is that even if it was right , Hadiths major flaw is that it reflects the views of the prophets time which are old and that doesn’t work anymore and you see it affecting the muslim world badly today as us Muslims can’t move forward in our cultural understanding and we are stuck in the 7th century understanding of islam because of hadith.

Salat, fasting and zakat are preserved and explained in the Quran as: Establish salat and recite what we have revealed to you, Zakariah was performing salat "standing" in the chamber, we revealed 7 recited in the sets of two, when you Prophet are among them to lead salat then let one group pray behind you, once have "prostrated" let this group step behind and let the other group join you (total two units prayed but shortened to one unit for each group in time of danger, unit ending at prostration). Three salats mentioned in the Quran and Bible. Dawn Salat, Middle Salat(Friday the day to halt commerce to perform salat) and Isha the evening Salat. Fasting: In the month of ramadan eat and drink till the white thread of light becomes visible from the black and complete your fast till layl. Zakat: Zakat (Purify) yourself by giving charity, they ask you how much should they give in charity? say give what is excess. Give charity to ....people who are needy, the travelers. Are you going to say to them to wait for one year? Yes of course one does not find the practices they invented to serve their idols besides God. The fact: God, his prophet and the sahaba who cared to save and compile Quran, didn't compile hadiths or do you say Islam is Quran and Sunnah of the Prophet but they forgot to save essential part of Islam the sunnah in hadiths? Imam malik's muwata came 150 years after Prophet, nobody was alive to authenticate his book. the same for Bukhari, Muslim that came 200 years after Prophet...Name one hadith book authorized by God and his prophet besides Quran? In fact these are their idols who decree for them laws never authorized by God. And the guy who talks about obey God, messenger and those in authority among you....why is he interpreting one way? doesn't Quran also say to keep our voices lower than to prophet's voice? Reading Quran we find God sent Torah and previous scriptures and gave hikmah to prophets to interpret and teach scriptures. Then God kept on sending new prophets and Messengers but Muhammad was the last prophet however Muhammad had said he will be succeeded by 12 leaders. The righteous people chosen as leaders from Isaac or Ishmail side, God had promised to Ibrahim all of them will be from his bloodline. 12 leaders (imams) came but were rejected by the majority. It is as when Prophets were sent to Jews and they rejected and killed. Mahdi is like Messiah who was rejected and lives. Aren't Muslims waiting for a leader Mahdi the 12th imam to teach them islam and to guide them? why do they need him if they have Quran and piles of hadith books? and why didn't they follow 11 imams before? The Quranists are like Karaite Jews, The sunnis are like Jews and the Shia are like Christians. Sects that idolize and were forbidden to create. But alas Muhamad had prophesied these things will happen re a prophet like Moses was sent and people after Muhammad did what the people had done after Moses. I think when we don't have any prophet or leader (imam) authorized by God then we are left with what leader Ali had said: Ali narrated, Prophet Muhammad said, there is NO DOUBT that, there will be Hadiths coming after me, claiming that I have said things. So you MUST test those Hadiths from the QURAN. If it is really according to the QURAN only then accept it, otherwise reject it. But are they really doing it? when Quran says for adultry lash 100 times and the punishment for your wives who were previously slaves is half. yet they do not repent and insist on idiolizing and importing Jews' law of stoning till death. So exactly what is the half of 100 lashes in terms of stoning till death for your ex slave wives? When Quran says to mean mark the hands of those who do theft and uses the same word when Zulaikha's female guests had cut their own hands when they saw Joseph to explain it doesnt mean to chop off hands...the worse thing is when God actually gives example on how to deal with theft when God mentioned how Jospeh kept his brother with him putting cup in his lugguage. And how come angels don't enter if you have dog with you when in Quran the people of the cave who were guided by God had their dog with them? Yet people say God wrote these stories and examples of the past for our entertainment purpose only! as in they are nothing but the tales of the past! And when God says no compulsion in religion they put (no compulsion in accepting religion) in brackets trying to put words in God's mouth when it's not what God said. Evildoers and their laws will end up in hell because they worked for Satan against God and his religion.

Though I completely agree that guidance is via Quran and Sunnah, there is no explanation given why Hadith is the material text from which sunnah should be obtained. Sunnah are idea and practices that Muslim followed since the time of the prophet and they have not changed. They were not written as hadiths are. Hadiths talk about these Sunnah but they should Be treated as historical texts and not books of facts

@@3mru7osny So wait let's get this straight. On the 1 hand you reject hadith, and now you're using a hadith to prove he told his companions to not write down hadith and ignore al the other ones where he explicitly did command his followers to do so? The hadith have always existed. Many sahaba had hadith written down on whatever writing materials they had access to. Anas Ibn Malik, Ali Ibn Abi Talib, Abu Hurraira, Jabir Ibn Abdullah, Abdullah Ibn Masood and so on. All of them wrote hadith down. Where is your evidence this is false? @@mikk3150 I understand your frustration which has led you to jump to conclusions but let me explain. 1) there are NO hadiths that we got straight from the first generation... NONE. There is surely wisdom in CORRECT Hadith. How do we know what is correct Hadith. If Hadith validates Quran then it’s correct otherwise you shouldn’t consider it Hadith in the first place. Don’t waste your (and my) time giving false statements like sahaba kept journals etc. This is purely false. All I am asking you and others like you to first investigate the facts yourselves. IMHO, people who are doubting the authenticity of Hadits do not necessarily fall into the "quranists" group. There are indeed some "sahih" hadists that are mind-boggling to be taken in on face value. It was meant for people at the time of the prophet to obey him. The messenger, before he died, only left the quran, not his "hadiths" based on assumptions and speculations of his life. God does not like assumptions. for US, to obey him means to follow the book wich was sent to him, the only thing he left. To never judge by anything other then God's rules. To never make haram witch was not haram. The hadiths were never authorized to be a matter of religion.

Like the verse that tells muslims to not stay to much in the messenger's house for "baseless hadiths" because he dont like that. It does not apply directly to us. Same with the ones that say to obey the messenger. The only way it applies to us is that we follow his message, the book, the light. We have to judge by God's book and never by the men made books after it. Muslims in his times has to obey him of course. They didnt have the complete book with them. Like abraham told his people to obey him, like jesus, noah, etc. That all said the same "obey me". Nothing to do with following assumptions and conjectures created by men. God knows more

@@ismetcirkinovic As explained by astroFly, but I will add to this in my Qur'an only way. You have done what every Bukharian has to do in order to try and prove the false belief in the hadith and sunnah, attributed by men to the Messenger, because there is no verse in the Qur'an that says that the Messenger is allowed to give his hadith and sunnah. The words hadith and sunnah are used in the Qur'an, so Allah knew them, but He he only talks about His Sunnah, and His best hadith, the Qur'an. Going back now to your quote, instead of copy and pasting words out of context into you heart and mind and onto paper trying to justify Bukharianism in the Qur'an, read, IQRA, the Qur'an and see what it really says and not what your devoid of wisdom ancestors have told you it means. Here is an excellent translation for you to ponder over and if you have any more verses misunderstood, out of context, and misinterpreted, then I suggest you read them properly first, in context before I humbly and respectably show you where they and you are wrong: 59:1 All that is in the heavens and all that is on earth strives to manifest the glory of God. For, He is Almighty, the Wise. 59:2 He is the One Who evicted the disbelievers among the People of the Book from their homes at the first gathering (of the forces). You never thought that they would leave and they thought that their strongholds would defend them against God. But God’s requital came to them from directions they little expected, and caused fear in their hearts. So, they dismantled their dwellings with their own hands and (got them dismantled) at the hands of the believers. Learn a lesson, then, O You who are endowed with insight! [‘God came’ = His requital came. They dismantled their immovable property to prevent the believers from benefiting from it] 59:3 And if God had not decreed banishment for them, He would have punished them harder in this world, yet for them is suffering of the fire in the life to come. 59:4 This is because they opposed God and His Messenger. If anyone opposes God, certainly, God is Stern in grasping. 59:5 Whatever palm-trees you cut down or left standing on their roots, it was by God’s leave, in order that He might disgrace those who drifted away from their treaties. [3:159. Lina = Softness, gentleness = Soft young palm-tree. Faasiq = One who drifts away] 59:6 And whatever God has turned over to His Messenger, you did not toil on any horse or camel for it. But God gives His messengers upper hand according to His Laws. For, God is the Appointer of due measure for all things. 59:7 Whatever God has turned over to His Messenger from those communities belongs to God and His Messenger (the Central Authority). [The Messenger will spend it on] The Central Government (The Central Authority) - The welfare of the families of the believers. - The orphans. - Those who still feel left alone in the society. - The widows - Those who have no means of earning their livelihood. -The disabled who cannot move around looking for the Bounty of God. - The homeless son of the street. -Those who are on their way to join you, and - Those who travel a distance to seek help. So that it may not keep revolving between the wealthy among you. Hence, take what the Messenger gives you, and abstain from what he forbids you. Be mindful of God. Surely, God is Stern in grasping. As you can see, whatever the Messenger gives you, take it, is for the needy, not greedy, and definitely not for proving the falsehood of Bukharian hadith and sunnah worship, ibadat, following, obedience.

As for the first point, the doors of repentance are closed once the person sees the angel of death, as it is at that point where everything becomes clear. If they didn't repent before that point, no repentance would save them at this point. One could, however, say the shahada before seeing the angel of death, thus having those be their final words and the hadith would still be applicable.

I stand on that boat and no it doesn't make me heretical or an idiot, the bottom line is our religion informs us that the Quran is unchanged and untouched and is perfect- all subsequent publications that came after, including Hadith are open to error and inaccuracies because they are maintained and preserved through Human Beings, fallible Human beings- who despite their best efforts to keep things "accurate" cannot lay claim to a 100% authentic narrative to the Prophet no matter how many times they cry "Sahih". There is a lot there to unpack here, some true, and some missing the point almost to being fallacious. But a question for anyone reading this is; "if you were to receive nothing but the Qur'an, would you say: Oh how amazing it! ... but such a pity I can't be guided by it, it's just too vague and not clear enough so I can't follow most of its commandments. Oh well, never mind, I suppose that means I don't have to do most of what it says. Since it does not tell me the physical ritual of how to pray, I guess there is no possible way I can pray and have my prayer be accepted and pleasing to God ... such a pity! This Book could have been so wonderful!" That would be idiocy. The Qur'an is guidance, you must believe (as Muslim at least) that God did not reveal a deficient Book in terms of guidance. Perhaps it is the inherited paradigm, expressed here by Dr. Brown and which is true and mirrors the way of those religions before us ... perhaps that is the problem? And while I myself think it absurd to reject all Hadiths and history ... it is yet more absurd to think (as a Muslim) that God's book is not enough in and of itself to guide you to a righteous life and salvation ... Rather to the highest peak of spirituality and Paradise. Really the main problem isn't the "sunna" (wrong word) but in its transmission and intense turmoil through which that transmission was filtered, colored, pruned and embellished. It is a deep topic that those who wish to only put forward and defend the "Hadith enterprise" rarely consider with any real critical analysis or presentation. They merely push forth the traditional standard and narrative and their justifications. They rarely know anything else, and for what is known religious excuses are ready at hand ... but scratch their surface a little and the colors of dogma are bright and easily recognized ... as recognizable as in any other religion. A very interesting quote here was "broadly speaking the Qur'an is specific on matters which it deems unchangeable, but in matters which are liable to change it merely lays down general guidelines" ... If so, then should the Sunna, which is an expression of something in time, become something elevated to "specific matters" which are "unchangeable" as well? To be applied to all peoples of all cultures and all times? ... Or is the sunna firmly in the category of "general guidelines" specifically expressed as required at the time by the Prophet? This was at least a very standard fair (minus the assertions of idiocy) look from the Orthodox position, but there is more to this issue than an appeal to orthodoxy. Orthodoxy isn't always right ... and our orthodoxy, we are told by a Hadith, would follow the same lines as the Jews and Christians before us ... and what did they do if not abandon God's revelations for the narrations of others claiming links and exposition of God's revelation? So yes ... You can't be a Sunni/Shia/Salafi/etc without Hadiths and only the Qur'an ... but by God you can be a full Muslim, and even better than those former, with the Qur'an and nothing but the Qur'an [Surah Al-Isra' 9] _"Truly this Qur'an guides to that which is most upright ..."_ Salaam

By the same token, we'd need to believe that the text of the Quran circulated freely among the earliest Muslim communities without the jurisprudential context of Hadith, and that - at the same time - those Muslims who read the Quran w/o that additional context were still able to pray successfully etc. And that's a robust assertion. It's dependent upon a state of affairs that transpired in history. So, in order to make your case, you need to do more than offer a thought experiment. You need to do more than ask modern-day Muslims whether they could still be Muslim today, without the Hadith as we know it. Rather, you need to prove that Muslims actually did this in history - i.e. that Muslims successfully practiced Islam with the "guidance" of the Quran alone, and little to no awareness of Hadith. Please provide a specific example - from the earliest history of Islam - of a specific community of Muslims who successfully practiced Islam (said prayers etc.) without recourse to Hadith.

Dear Dr., there are two different approaches to understanding the Quran ( Tafseer = explication ) and ( Ta'weel = Interpretation) the first depends totally on the meanings of words themselves, while the later depended on human Interpretation of what might God mean or want in that verse. This is the very different thing between Qur'anism and Sunnism, for example, Surat Ad-Dukhan [44:54] ( zawajnahom b' hor Ein ) in Sunnaism, Hor-Ein are (virgins of heavens) ... in Quranism, the word (zwwajnahom, means we gave them) Hor-Ein, in Arabic dictionary means (fount), there are no virgins to merry in heaven :-) ...
