I started throwing the Construct this year and love it. Good distance and as you stated, the different plastics vary in flight. It gives me the same feel with more shot shape possibilities.

Great disc review! I am also a lefty and have 3 Constructs. Aura, Ethereal and Nebula Ethereal (Maria Oliva Signature Disc). My Ethereal and Nebula Ethereal discs fly exactly the same. The difference seems to be only cosmetic, with the Nebula being muti-colored 'burst' style. I tend to use the Ethereal more on the course. Subscribed!

Thank you!!!!! I am definitely curious about the Ethereal Nebula. How is the feel? Comparable to Ethereal? I love the Ethereal flight, but if temps are over 80 it stays home. Might just be because it’s black and absorbs more heat.

The thing I've found with the Construct, is that it's not entirely the plastic that determines how flippy it is - it's the dome. I've got an Ethos that's pretty flat, and is the most overstable one I've thrown. I've had 2 Nebula Ethereals. One was domey and was such a perfect hyzer flip disc, and the other is flat and it's just barely less stable than my Ethos one. Unless the Vulture normally differs significantly from the Z Glow one I got in my players pack at DGLO though, I'd say the Construct compares more equally to the Scorch (despite being slower). Some flip, some turn, and a decently strong fade once it slows down. The Vulture flies more like a slower Avenger to me (the old one, not the SS) - strong torque/speed resistance, straight glide, and strong fade). I've also gotten the Construct out just as far as my Scorch and my flippy Zeus (shows where my arm speed is at) - around 375 or so. I'm using this off season to audition it as my main distance disc for 2024, since I've been having trouble keeping speed 11s (even my flippy ones like Scorches and Surge SS) at their design speeds on bad arm days, or later in tournament rounds when fatigue is setting in.

Update a few months later: So now I've got every plastic, other than Nebula Aura. The Aura is definitely the flippiest (and TSA's website reflects this now), and does tend to have more dome or a lower PLH. Ethos is the sweet spot for stability. Ethereal and Nebula Ethereal are nearly identical in flight - for the same level of dome. I stand by what I said before, within any given plastic, dome does tend to have the most effect (USUALLY...). Flat Aura ones are still going to be flippier than the other plastics, with the domey Aura ones being nearly as flippy as an Ethos Mantra - great for tailwind flips, but can be unpredictable in other conditions or shots that don't need to turn right. I've got a slightly domey, light weight Ethos one that flies just like my flat, heavy Ethos one - both are baby-flip (maybe 5 degrees) drivers out of the box, and will no doubt beat in to a great spot. Ethereal and Nebual Ethereal are the most overstable out of the box, but the best Construct I've ever thrown was a domey Nebual Ethereal one (that I lost...dangit!) - those ones have a great flip and lock in. By all accounts, Nebula Aura are easily as stable as the flat Ethereal ones, if not a little more. At any rate, the amount of glide is ridiculous on these. While they're technically control drivers, people with arm speeds below 11 (and even those who can throw that fast) can use these as legit distance drivers.

I can second the dome. Ethos Construct has been my straight to slightly over stable fairway forever, and the two I've used are pretty flat. I picked up a spare on Amazon and it has a massive dome. It turns on me way too much and is unusable.

You definitely got a different run SE Aura than I did. Mine is board flat and quite a bit more stable than a Musket or even my Thunderbird. You could not torque it over if you tried. Guess that's just my luck as I have an Era that is absurdly domey and quite OS while I somehow found a flippy Trespass.

I’m actually happy to hear that the SE Aura’s do come flat and more beef to them! I like the feel of Aura plastic so I’ll have to search for a flatter one!

I have one that is flat, like carnation pink colored Aura, quite stable as well even at 167g

Seems intriguing but I don’t think it would replace my undertaker. Seems to have more lateral movement in the flight for a disc about the same speed.

In the Ethos plastic, the Construct mirrors my Z Undertaker. I just usually get 20-25 extra feet in distance, so could both! I’m wondering if the Aura I got is abnormally, others say theirs were pretty stable.

Huh the ethos one I snagged from the used bin is straight beef. More overstable than any of my 3 champ thunderbirds

@@CheatingLeftyDiscGolf It’s indistinguishable from my ethos animus except for the rim width. Very high parting line. And I think all mvp made drivers are board flat, so can’t really say how it compares to standard constructs.
