Thank you for the info and telling me about folkart multi surface. I too am obsessed with DecoArt. I used the DecoArt multi Surface and I couldn’t get the chalk lines to show up. I took your advice and bought the FolkArt and it did the trick.

Demi, your work is absolutely beautiful!! Your technique is impossibly consistent--and you make it look so easy! (I am forever screwing up something--where my swooshes, dots, etc. end up being different sizes/shapes . . sigh.) Seriously, your panels are stunning! A note on chalk lines: I find that dampened Q-tips (the actual "Q-tip" brand works best over other swabs) clean off most chalk lines, regardless of the base coat I use. Museums use Q-tips for cleaning when restoring very old works of art because of their gentleness and effectiveness. My current favorite base coat is DecoArt Americana Enchanted in Ultra Black--and I've had no issues cleaning the stubborn chalk lines with Q-tips. Thanks so much for sharing your paintings and advice. Keep up your dazzling work!

Thank you so so much friend! I definitely tried q-tips and they did not work. But thank you for the tip and the kind words. Much appreciated!

Great info Demi. But I do have a question. I'm brand new to dot art and thought I'd make coasters (rather than rocks) as my beginner practice pieces. If I want to use any of them, what sealer or varnish would you suggest as being able to hold up to condensation and/or hot cups and being wiped repeatedly with a damp cloth?

Definitely resin!

Thank you for the information, I love your work. You mentioned cement rocks? Do you make them yourself? Can that be a new tutorial?
@thoughtfuldots2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately (and fortunately for me lol) I do not make them myself. I have someone make them for me. I think there might be KZbin tutorials on Happy Dotting Company's KZbin channel!

Have you done a video on making the mandala stones? I am having trouble with bubbles on the bottom. Help?

I don’t make my own, I buy them from TheRockShopCo on Etsy! This would be a good question to ask in my FB group!

Darlin I would LOVE if Luquitex anything cost only $8. in Australia you are easily looking at $35 for that bottle of gesso you have. And Luquitex mediums???? Pfffffff..they will set you back $80 for an 8 is bottle...... Love your videos❣️❣️❣️❣️

@@thoughtfuldots and for decorart? I pay anywhere from 6.95 to 11.95 for a 2oz bottle.it depends on if it's "specialty " decoart like the gloss enamel that's usually more expensive
