Something I also like to feature in many of the beings created via magical manipulation in my writing - especially in cases where the magic user had an IDEA they were really hung up on, but didn't put much thought into how it would actually work. This results in...well, essentially SOMETHING had to fill in the blanks, and the results can range from weird to nonfunctional, to dying from cancer or some kind of bizarre autoimmune response because Stacy thought fusing a snake with a dog was a good idea, but had no knowledge of things like organ incompatibility... In cases where multiple individuals were manipulated the same way and manage to be healthy enough to survive and breed for a few generations, natural selection compensates for this little. Glaring problems are still glaring problems, but as a general rule a generation 20 magically modified lifeforms is going to be better adapted and healthier than a gen 1 individual

Perhaps this is foreshadowing the existence of the Chimaera. I’d imagine the Chimaera as having the same origin as the Minotaur. However unlike the Minotaur which was kept properly contained, the Chimaera was able to escape. It went on a rampage, killing anything or anyone unfortunate enough to get in its way. It would probably have the body plan and head of a large African Lion, The horns and short temper of a goat, and the scaly tail and venomous bite of a snake.

hell yea, i remember having as a kid book called monsterology, or atlas of monster, something like that, i forgot and wanted to find exact book for years. There was ton of cool creatures from all over the world, japan, china, germany, poland/slavic countries,US,canada,south america and afrika. literally dozens of different monsters like big ass moth or butterfly from japan/china, leviathan, jersey devil, kappa, slavic witches, baba jaga, minotaur, and even some pretty odd that you dont really hear about, i still remember this one till today, there was a small monster, about child height, was living in shadows in your closet or under the bed, and was killing their prey in their sleep with his long ass sharp teeths and nails

I love that the minotaur is so bizarre in it's form that even Thought Potato can't make it make sense scientifically. He can exlpain how you become a vampire, werewolf or a zombie. He can even tell how it'll work out if one is infected by another (really interesting video btw) but the Minotaur defies explanation if magic isn't involved somehow. That said, going through the monster manual should be a treasure trove of fun video ideas. You've already done some of them. If I had to pick one I'd say displacer beast. I might give you an explanation for the Goatman of urban myth: The Goatman is, in actuality, an unknown species of primate, with goat like horns on its head and the ability to produce a stench similar to that of a ring-tailed lemur. The stench itself has an extra effect on whatever smells it: it can cause visual and auditory hallucinations, which could explain why people who claim to have a close encounter with the animal had different physical descriptions. I have been on vacations to crete annually for most of my life and have visited knossos multiple times, so this video was such a pleasure to watch. That’s what I thought! How that order of priests in Egypt and Keepers both seem intent to seize control of biological mastery of the human body. The Plain of Thessaly was the site of the battle between the Titans and the Olympians in Greek mythology - since the si-teh-cah exist in this world and it was hinted in the video that others could exist somewhere, maybe this is hinting towards that? Hi Thought Potato! I have been really surprised about the solution that You chose to bring to life this creature, and I am also glad who you decided to pick it. The Minotaur is one of the most important figures in classical myths (and its story is almost an archetype of horror stories). As said before, Your various designs for its physical appearance were very interesting (particularly the unused one seen on Patreon, which reminded me of the short appearance of the twisted portrait of the creature in "Wrath of the Titans" 2013). By the explanation provided inside the video, the mysterious group that brought to life this hybrid might not have been on its first try ... So I wondered if, in the future, we could find out if these Minoans gathered this "life-shaping" knowledge from previous cultures from middle-east. In particular by Sumerians, which, in the "Tale of Gilgamesh", described how the god Anu specifically created the being known as Enkidu (often depicted as a savage man-beast with bull features). I thought about this scenario, recalling the more modern tales and hypothesis about the Annunaki's engineering on Earth, in the same area known by the stories of the Old Testament (... and that may have some correlation with the mysterious Mr. Semyaza). I really love the background story going on in these videos. A mix of biology/anthropology/cryptozoology that I really vibe with. I hope someday we’ll have the whole backstory so someone can make a playlist in chronological order of what happened with the professor.

Classical mythology: HOORAY! (Or perhaps I should say, "opa!") It's so nice to take a break from modern horror and sci-fi, every once in a while, and Greco-Roman myth was some of the first "high fantasy" I was ever exposed to, as a kid. Meanwhile, this form of anachronistic genetic engineering during gestation isn't without precedent in fiction: a little known book called "Hellstone" uses it as part of a particularly inventive story about Loch Ness. It also foreshadows the many forms & adaptations of "The Island of Dr. Moreau," a story that you might very well be able to tie in with this video (hint, hint) as part of the same plotline. Great work!!!

Ok, so, the whole video was a banger (as always) but the reference to Thessaly at the end was really something notable. For those who don't know, in the ancient world, Thessaly was famous (or infamous) for the witches living there, so I expect the next episode to be inherent to thessalian witches or at least reference them, as well

I'd be amazed and soo happy if you chose even one of these creatures to do a video on. i hope this series goes on for a long time. keep it up.

So, I take it this creature's backstory is used to further tie into the greater mythos of this channel the idea of Plato's Atlantis (and similar concepts in myths), in the sense that there existed a pre-antiquity civilization or multiple civilizations which were more advanced than we could imagine and have since faded into myth. Their strong presence around the Mediteranean stretching into Asia Minor, North Africa and the Middle East explaining the well documented myths of chimeric creatures. A precursor civilization with shockingly advanced knowledge of biology and flesh manipulation perhaps? Hmmm...
