What a lovely idea for a video over Christmas, Mark. Love and friendship.☺️ A good many years ago I found myself in a situation whereby I needed some help and it wasn't the people I considered to be friends that came to my aid but someone I wouldn't have thought in a million years would help. Anyway, that taught me a couple of valuable lessons. The first being that friendships can come from anywhere and secondly how important it had become to me to help others in similar situations. Like you said, it doesn't cost anything to help or offer advice. I do think that friendship is important and possibly the most important is with ourselves. We all need a bit of self love and care and as they say, how is it possible to love others without first loving ourselves? Oh yes, soul connections. I believe this to be true as I've had numerous 'soul' experiences with friends and family, which goes to show there is so much more than what we see with our physical eyes. I do think there is huge benefit in looking beyond the material world for a while and thinking about the important things in life. As you were saying, we can lose everything but still be the richest person in the world if we have the love of our friends and family. This was such a nice video, Mark. Again, you've left me with lots to think about.😃

Yes. 'Friend' is a word that is often overcooked. What friend would visit you in hospital? And when you find that out it is a lesson! In this era friendships are crucial - true friendships - and it starts with the self. Thanks for the comments - very good!

What a blessing to have a friend who will go the full mile for you. Oh, yes, we should look to ourselves first. Hope you are having a lovely time over Christmas! 😃

Thank you. We all need a friend, right?

We need to focus more on 'friendship' , especially now.

Indeed. We are generally 'friendly', and certainly benefit from them. Thanks!

Love John O Donohough, but I only know his poems. I’ve been missing out. Do you like David Whyte?

if I remember rightly I think I read him in the 1980s. 'You must go to the place where everything waits, there, when you finally rest, even one word will do, one word or the palm of your hand turning outward in the gesture of gift. And now we are truly afraid to find the great silence asking so little. One word, one word only.' He's one to re-read. I assume you like him?

Light and thought or light as thought are very important. One book I am reading said that since God is all-knowing, knowledge helps us be more like God. I also like the verse that says “The glory of God is intelligence, or, in other words, light and truth.”

Nicely put. Yes... light and thought and truth are so intertwined. The 'light of reason' et al. A great thing to ponder on. Thanks, Seanin!
