A bright spot so far for sure, Quinn is showing life and UPL is back in form. Lindy will have them there in the end.

my head canon on UPL is he gets better the more games he's given. when he had that good stretch last year he was playing like 3/4 of the games. what worries me is if Devon Levi does end up being our number 1 eventually is i have my doubts if upl can back him up. i really REALLY hope i'm wrong on that last part. anyway focus on the now, UPL starts as long as he give us the best chance to win games.

It really is wild though how fast this fan base can go right off the cliff 😂 I agree that they should settle on UPL right now and get some stability with this group, we all know teams play differently in front of different goalies so changing it around a lot isn’t the best.

It would truly suck if the Sabres left Buffalo, I'd love to see new ownership though, as long as they kept the team in Buffalo. Pegula is the only constant in this long stretch of pain. Right now, all Buffalo has to do is win just a couple games and they're right back in the mix...prepare for the typical letdown of course.

Luckily all the teams in front of us in our division lost some games. I think we need to ride this out. The problem clearly isn’t coaching this time. Lindy is so detail oriented and specific. I think they are just finding their way. We don’t want to become the 90s and 2000s Cleveland Browns. Constantly firing GMs and coaches and doing rebuild after rebuild. If the Sabres are ever moved out of Buffalo I don’t think they would ever be brought back because of the way Bettman is expanding. That would be the worst day of my life. We need to play through these tough times and stay logical. If it comes to making some big trades we should do what we need to do but not give up entirely.

Gotta fix the passing and the puck battles in the corner. We start doing better in those two areas then I think our overall game will improve especially on the power play where we always seem to struggle with possession.

Feel better Wayne. The panicking of some of our fans is understandable, but that's part of the problem and a major part that's got to go away. The only way that can happen is if they can do what seems impossible and flip the switch to completely turn it around. The times they are a changing.

We should have won the Pens game, we gave away the Kings game, but Columbus just had us from the jump. I think missing Aube Kubel and Peterka for those early games could have made the difference.

the powerplay is playing on its heels, so the penalty kill can pressure them just by looking at them. they need to play on their toes, then the penalty kill will play on its heels. grab the thing by the horns, or whatever the saying is.

I'm sure it's tough in your position, but for me getting off social media (outside of a few youtube channels) has made it a lot easier to be rational. I think you see a lot of younger fans looking to throw in the towel, maybe understandably as the history of Sabres Hockey really doesn't matter to them. And social media is their outlet, and the loudest takes are typically the coldest (relocate the Sabres). I was lucky enough to just be getting into hockey in the mid 2000s and I'll always be a fan. I'll never forget RJ, the Pominville goal in the final seconds, the Senators brawl, etc. But the younger generation doesn't have that, and they don't have the patience to wait. One thing I'd be curious to get your take on is the no-trade clauses. It works so heavily against teams like Buffalo where the city itself isn't exciting to people who have never been, and nobody wants their career to die with the perennially bad team. It makes it so much harder for us to get out of the rut. Of course a team like Boston keeps getting into the playoffs - they're able to make great trades with anyone because nobody has them on their no-trade list. Really an odd rule to me. I don't believe that should be up to the players.

I was a goalie during my playing days, so I know all about superstitions! The only 2 games I was able to watch at home and not on my phone away from it was the Pittsburgh game and this one against Chicago. The one against Chicago, I watched the whole thing and we Won, but the Pittsburgh game, I was watching the 1st period and the Sabres were in FULL control, then my wife asked me to watch other stuff and the game completely flipped right afterwards! And every other game I watched on my phone was a disaster! So as far as I’m concerned, I have to watch as many at home on my TV as possible! I’m not taking blame and I’m not taking credit, but I am going to do what I did during my playing days and do EVERYTHING I did the days we won! It may not help, but it certainly can’t hurt!

Simplify the game for Cozens! He is a tough productive WINGER, not a centre. Put him on McLeod’s right side with Greenway on the left, Cozens scores 40 goals effortlessly. This creates a scoring second line that is exceptional defensively.

They're 2-4-1 and they're still only 1 point out of a playoff spot. I'll give them a little bit to get it together before I panic. I'm not happy with how they've been playing but it's still really early. On the other point if the Sabres move there's no way the NHL will grant Buffalo another team. It's a small market and they only seem to want warm weather big markets.

Cozens problem is getting that 1st goal he'll be fine Dylan isn't on drugs he gets that 1st 1 watch out ,he's too hard on his self McCloud is definitely faster than Okposlow ,Buffalo will never give up its beloved Sabres i will say Lu looked better but he was giving up big rebounds in the 3rd he pretty much was a bumper that was worried about staying square to the shooter wich did work ,but eventually that could be noticed and adapted to

I was paying close attention to Cozens in the last game and it looked like he forgot how to skate. He looked slow and seemed to be falling down with the slightest bit of contact. Very concerning to be honest.

I have to admit I for the first time thought about “maybe we should relocate” after our last few losses. Obviously we should not. However, it seems like we have something we can’t shake. Unfortunately we may need to….not “gut” but majorly reform the team and that may come from the top down….Adams…..or maybe even higher. Pegula. He might need to sell the team. Could clearly use the money. Obviously hope he would sell it to a Buffalo buyer. Just saying, this is what I believe. Or he should appoint someone (president) who is hockey smart and hand over total control.

Let's not forget the past couple of years, then started off hot and then ceumbled after those first 10-15 games. 2-4-1 is better than 0-5-1 or something like that, and if DG was here, that's where they'd be at. So im a little bit worried but nowhere near where some fans are. It is going to take time for Lindy to get them to play his way. My big concern is the PP. I have faith in Cozens and Dahlin coming back to form. Samulsson is what scares me. He's been horrendous, and he's the type of D man that usually excels under lindy. They have got to start winning games tho. Win a few and get the fans back. Bc im just sick and tired of the over toxic sabres fans

UPL has done the same to this point... both have 1 good game... all of the rest... just plain bad. the only good news is there are quite a few "GOOD" teams off to really bad starts... even worse than we are.. so time will tell... One other thing Jiri Kulich needs to beef up. Gets knocked off the puck to easily. I do like that he does take the puck to the next and shoots. But Power Play number one priority!!!

Selling the team and relocating doesn’t help anything. Fans who want to do that might as well choose not to follow the sabres in the first place. I’m not giving up just because we have had a bad start and a few players are not playing great yet does not mean give up. To much young talent on this roster for me to not be exited also as bad as 2-4-1 is we could be much worse good homestand we will be back to 500 I believe in this team I think with a few small tweaks we could be really good only thing I’d prefer more physicality from our blue line maybe Gilbert in and Samulson out for a few games does that but way to early for fans to lose hope on this year I need atleast 20 games to see who we really are as a team

No, Cozens is a defensive liability. Always out of position. I can live with his struggle in offense but the rest...Jeez. I would trade Cozens for a bag of pucks. However, Cozens is not the reason the Sabres are losing. We are STILL missing a top forward and top 6 is not performing.

Dylan Cozens is just the byproduct of a kid who's been on a losing team his entire NHL career so far. When all you've been a part of is failure and losing and you're surrounded by players who are also struggling nightly. The kids had 3 coaches in his short career already. So no I don't get crazy when a kid struggles here.

Only once has it happened in our major sport (football) and it continues to cause arguments in pubs and bars from lands end to John o groats. 🤔 Buffalo is a great hockey market but you can't blame the apathy after a decade of horrible decline and ineptitude. 🤢 For context the Utah team had to relocate twice (3 times in Arizona) and even moved leagues.
