Please contact him for training in Ricketts FMA. Brandon himself avidly applies pressure testing and technical sparring to the suite of skills he teaches (Kali Ilustrisimo, etc.) He grew up in the martial arts - his father being Christopher Ricketts (a direct student of the legendary Antonio "Tatang" Ilustrisimo and an exponent of Lamenco, Sagasa, and Ngo Cho Kun) and was known as a fighter both in competition and on the street. This pragmatic philosophy is carried forth in Brandon's ability and teaching methods. He is based in Manila.
Thanks to my mentor and martial brother Elrik Jundis for linking us up. He is a practitioner, teacher, and researcher of various FMA styles (including Kali Ilustrisimo) as well as Judo and Chinese Internal Martial arts. My brother is also someone who is a point of contact for foreigners visiting Philippines looking for FMA lessons.

Nice video! And yeah, you can’t develop if you are always going 100% all of the time. It is why higher belts in bjj sometimes relax and let lower belts “work”. If the newbies just get submitted every 5 seconds with a bunch of different stuff, they will never have a chance to actually observe what is going on and learn from it.

important info GM antonio diego is actually the teacher of ricketts, sulite, galang, yuli romo in ilustrisimo. ask novus gladius. brandon ricketts himself admitted his version of ilustrisimo has karate stance, the ricketts ilustrisimo has ngo cho kun influence the hip. gm diego has the purest ilustrisimo that people on fma discussion deny and wont admit. also tatang himself moving in ricketts videos. yuli romo has palakawbanate balintawak tat kuntao added which was at Odds with gm tony diego. ask novus. macapagal has hema on his influence and moves far away from tatang
