That made me so angry that she didn’t get charged for ANYTHING!!! Not only was she sleeping with an underage boy, but she kept him in a tiny little living space with no contact with the outside world!!! And this was before social media and the internet, so he had ZERO human contact other than her. Imagine going 10 years like that and (I don’t think) he even left the house either! Plus the free labor- That’s literally enslavement! I have no idea why he agreed to it, I’m guessing she convinced him she would leave her husband one day 🤷‍♀️ Idk, but not only that, her poor husband too! Not only was she having an affair but using his money to support another human being without his knowledge and allowing him to think he was going crazy and whatnot!🤦‍♀️ What she did to both of them was sooo AWFUL and she’s such a horrible person!!! I wouldn’t be surprised if she told Otto to kill him if he ever started to act “out of control” and painted the picture that he was abusive and dangerous. Then she waited for a night where he was drinking and already in a bad mood so she could say all the things she knew would push his buttons and get a reaction out of him. That way if things ever went south with otto, she could always maintain the story of self defense without worrying about him ratting her out later. I think it was her plan from the beginning to get otto to shoot him and make him think he did the right thing🙄

You forgot to mention that she cheated on the lawyer too, and it was that guy who had hidden one of the murder weapons on her behalf. Her neighbor hid the other one. At one point in time, she had no less than three lovers at once, none of whom knew about each other. To recap : She was in possession of the stolen goods and both murder weapons, all hidden at her behest, all recovered by the police eventually. And STILL the jury wasn't sure about her guilt in the matter. In fact, the majority of the jury wanted to acquit her! This woman was a sociopath and narcissist through and through, the only reason she got away with it at all was because was because sexism in the legal system at the time worked in her favor.

I can't believe Dolly actually got away with everything in the end. Not just being involved in her husband's murder, but grooming an underaged boy, keeping him in her attic as a literal sex slave for years.. Poor Otto. At least it seems he was able to move on and be happy. Dolly should have spent her remaining years in jail, imo.

Poor Otto? He wasn't underage for 9 years and she wasn't keeping him locked up in there, it was his choice to hide in his married lover's attic for 9 years like who does that? Dolly is guilty of gaslighting to cover up her creepy-ass attic affair but I definitely blame Otto for the murder.

This story makes me so mad lol. It was one thing that Otto was let free in the end, he did murder Fred but after being groomed from the age of 17 only to probably go a little crazy from being locked in the attic and used as basically a slave by manipulation for 9 years, I can at least say he was also a victim here and don’t mind so much that he was free in the end. But I cannot believe Dolly actually got off scot free in the end. She just seems like a terrible person all around. Every night when the mice in my attic start running around my wife insist on going up to try to kill them herself, I really don't like them. She really does try her hardest. You can hear the banging on the floor as she tries to stomp them, her screeching and screaming, in fear of course, as they run in and out of hiding spots. She hasn't had much luck though as she tends to go up there nearly every night. She even takes food up there to try to tempt them into the open. 9:21 - This bizarre twist brings up so many questions! What happened when Otto had to use the toilet? I assume he could use the shower during the day when Fred was at work, but some things can't wait that long! Did he ever get out into the fresh air and sunlight? Did he ever see any friends, or any other human beings at all? 11:15 - Some questions answered. God, he was practically a prisoner! I find it hard to believe any "sewing machine" in the world could be worth it! It does occur to me that he was about 17 and under the influence of an older woman who may have manipulated him. Later - Okay, this story just gets weirder and weirder, but I was right that Otto was completely isolated.

Fortunately I did manage to get him out of the house without getting caught - WHEW - I never tried that again!!! I was just telling my Uber driver, (literally a couple of hours ago,) about my neighbors, who found out they had had someone living in their attic, for at least a few months, when they found a sleeping bag and a bunch of empty food packaging. There had been a means to acquire egress into the attic from outside of the house, and apparently that was how they had been getting in, I know they locked up the hatch, into the attic, outside. I don’t remember what else happened, but they moved out not too long afterwards-perhaps unsurprisingly. We joked at the time about a similar situation to the one described in the video, I really hope it didn’t play out the same way!

At 7:27, he described the two small differences: 1. The husband heard the killer run DOWN the stairs and 2. The husband recognized the killer. Since the husband died on the spot, how does anyone know these things? Neither can be assumed. The husband may not have heard anything over the fighting. The man who had been living in an attic for nine years probably looked very different than when he last saw him, not to mention how hard it is to place some people out of context. I get the assumptions, but the whole take could have been told without them.
