WHY NOT JUST JUST LANCE THE BOIL AND RELEASE THE PRESSURE? WHAT I MEAN IN DETAIL IS TO DRILL A FEW HUNDRED DRILL HOLES WITH VALVES TO INCREASE THE RATE OF PRESSURE RELEASE AND THUS THE VOLCANO WILL NOT EXPLODE . THE VERY HOT GASES CAN BE USED TO DRIVE STEAM TURBINES FOR ELECTRICITY AND WILL PAY FOR THE COST. THE DRILL HOLES DO NOT HAVE TO BE VERY DEEP INTO THE MAGMA BUT JUST A FEW HUNDRED FEET ABOVE IT. THEY WILL RELEASE THE PRESSURE.

Krakatoa was a more impressive eruption. Nothing like a volcano literally exploding itself into nothingness. Another fun fact about Olympus Mons is that due to the slope of the volcano: if you travelled up it for a day without stopping and looked down and then repeated that activity for another day and looked down, it would look like you didn't move at all.

Krakatoa's eruption, compared to the ones of Yellowstone and/or Toba, is like a firecracker. Yellowstone caldera's magmatic chamber is at least 100 times bigger than Krakatoa's, so those 2 can't be compared at all. A comparison that would be more fair to Krakatoa's would be comparing it to Pinatubo's eruption in 1991.

Ah, yes, ilopango and crew which ilopango ended it in with its 536ad/540ce eruption. Ilopango was the one that ended it off. Seems like the super major ones always ends it with a big bang. But yes the time the Romans lamented about famines and crops not ripening due to lack of sunlight and radiation. The mayans we're shocked and went into a dark age from it. And loll and behold that one is showing signs of awakening up too activity wise currently. ( later edit ilopango was dated more recently/later after this comment was first posted to till 410 ce. But iceland 540ce still stands. Their was one on 536ce, 540ce, 547ce, and wasn't there one in like 510ce? At least three big eruptions occured, but there arw speculation on it being four to five big ones. One was said also to be in north america that caused gas plume to go the whole way to europe and china? That or ones erupted near there too. But there was also one thst erupted near equator and possible one in indonesia said to be dormant now with an H in the beginning besides krakitoa. So? But still a good idea to be keeping an eye on them all ans climate with this all going on and when geo quakes also hit peak. The Geo gases that all faults, fissures and volcanoes spew right before during and directly afterwards when calming down are crucial to keep in mind. Geo gases include carbon dioxide,(CO2), carvon monoxide (CO), N2O aka Nitrous oxide (a major green house gas and if eaten by a type of bacteria turns into N2), methane, radon and when dealing with volcanoes and fissures sulfuric acid (H2SO4), and carbonic acid (H2CO3) besides sulfur dioxide (H2S), hydrogen (H2), hydrogen chloride ( HCL, which is used in industrial metal pickling and is also found in the stomach to break down food on a smaller quantity with enzymes), hydrogen fluoride (HF), hydrogen bromide (HBr) aka known with the other hydrogen acids as hydrogen halides and Helium (He).

So when that guy shoved paint up his butt, and then crapped it all over a canvas, and people called it art, what was his message?
@lesiba53824 жыл бұрын
@@MandoRick1978 it depends on how you look at this. Let me give you some context, this statement was said by a poet (who is considered an artist) that has simplified many mysteries via poetry. As for intellectuals he was referring to academics (who usually use academic jargon) that always use academic language which is not usually understood by the layman. In the case of a painting, it is left to be interpreted by anyone in anyway, just because you don't see something meaningful it doesn't mean someone else isn't. It's like how some genres of music are appealing to a certain person and others aren't. The ones that aren't appealing doesn't mean they aren't art or music anymore.
@MandoRick19784 жыл бұрын
@@lesiba5382 I know exactly how to look at it. Ironically not a single person reaches for poetry when the shit hits the fan. I am a realist, I see an idiot shoving paint up his ass, and other idiots trying to find meaning where there is none. I understand poetry, despite you thinking me silly for being logical. I have looked at the deeper meaning, there is none! Man knows nothing for certain, not a single thing, so everything else is just pissing in the wind. If you enjoy getting covered by it and try to find deeper meaning to console yourself, then feel free. Follow a guru, praise an artist. When all is said and done, you know exactly as much as I do, which is absolutely nothing. If painting a picture makes you feel better about your absolute lack of absolute truth, then feel free. But do not expect me to buy into your bullshit when you claim it has deeper meaning, because I may just call you out on your bullshit and ask you to explain said deeper meaning, which is when the cop-out starts and you claim it is different for every person. Truth is truth, and we have none, because we know nothing with certainty. Go write a poem about that.

As always, very informative and entertaining. A minor correction is that the arithmetic at 13:20 is incorrect. The eruption would bury England to a depth of 9 metres and not 1km. (ie 1170 / 130400 = 0.00897 km which is 8.97 metres). Mind you, either of these would seriously disrupt the Premier League but still wouldn't stop Erling Haaland from scoring at least 30 goals this season. Cheers

Small correction: Mauna Kea is not 10,200 meters above sea level. Its peak is 4,200 meters above sea level - 10,200 meters is the elevation of the peak starting from the ocean floor. However, if the base was placed at surface level, it would be taller than Mount Everest. And, if Olympus Mons was placed at the ocean floor like Mauna Kea, its peak would still be taller than Mount Everest.

Even though he later fed on human generated toxins, it was the volcano itself that created the problem in the first place.

The Location of the volcano have a lot to do how it effects world temperatures, like Krakatoa is closer to the Equator, so it would affect both the Northern and Southern Hemisphere, where has Tambora is on the tropics line so most of the weather changing effect would happen in the Southern Hemisphere, also that same year has the Tambora eruption there was also field lava and volcanic in Iceland activity going on, which was more likely that effected the weather in Europe, Asia and North America. Those of you my age and older will remember the effects that Surtsey had on the weather, when it broke the surface of the sea in 63, that one volcano change the weather for 15 years

What global temperature increase? Temperatures are within 0.36° of where they were in 1980. Which means that they are basically unchanged. If you look at the satellite temperature data, which is the most accurate temperature record available anywhere on the planet, you will find that the temperature goes up and down over decades and there is no positive trend in temperature outside of the general upward trend that the planet has been on since the end of the last period of glaciation. Yes, all of that is easily confirmed by checking the data for yourself. After all, there is a reason that all of the charts shown by climate alarmists start in the late 1970s. Because if you go back 40 years before that point you will find that temperatures where much higher and it destroys the entire climate alarmists narrative about man-made global warming. The US has the most accurate temperature record of the entire world, yet most of it is ignored by the climate scientists that get millions per year from governments to prove that humans are causing the planet to warm. So they produce evidence to support the hypothesis and every single one of them says the same thing without fail. Humans are causing the Earth's temperature to increase at a never before seen rate. The problem is that none of them have proved the claim. Yes, they have written many papers talking about it and drawing conclusions because they can't possibly be wrong. The problem is that they have been saying exactly the same thing about human activity since the 1700s. I literally mean saying the same things about melting ice sheets, shrinking glaciers, rising sea level, and the polar ice sheets melting. Sadly the only climate scientists that have made constantly accurate predictions are the ones they call deniers and act like they are heretics to some type of religion. The mainstream climate scientists are correct less than 35% of the time, while their rivals, the ones they call deniers and try to get fired have a much more accurate accuracy rate of just under 90% where their predictions are concerned. If Earth's temperature responded to CO2 the way they claim it does, the Earth would have never been able to support life at all because for most of its early life the CO2 level in the atmosphere was over 7000 ppm. This means that the Earth would have gone into a runaway greenhouse event resulting in the Earth becoming another Venus. FYI, with CO2 levels slowly rising, in about 400 years CO2 should reach 1000 ppm again assuming nothing changes. This is close to the level that commercial greenhouse operators use and it will cause plant life across the planet to explode. Many deserts will cease to be desert as the amount of rain that they get will be more than enough to turn them green. This in turn will start to reduce the CO2 levels in the atmosphere. Of course, I assume that once they get the ITER operational we will finally get the answer to the fusion power problem and fusion power will become a reality
