Truth is far stranger than fiction. I personally don't think the earth is hollow but there are many massive caves and tunnel system. Heck. Even Disneyworld has those.
@JoeZyzyx

Should do one about the possible hollow moon, based on it's "ringing like a bell", it's lower than expected gravity, and the shallowness of it's many, often huge craters, which seem to have a limit on depth of which such impacts can go, and instead spreading most of their impact energy sideways, and much less than expected, downward. Also, if one wanted to travel great distances through space to a new planet, taking maybe millions of years, a huge sphere with very strong metal clad sides might be the only solution. What would you do then when arriving at your new earth? Of course park the huge sphere as a moon around the planet, much as our moon seems exactly parked for some reason.

When we tapped the great artesian basin in australia, a life form appeared that we now call the min min lights. The artesian basin isnt a hollow pocket, but rather a sponge of rock, with enough space to let water flow. I have been interseted in the min min lights since the early eighties. It seems the history of the lights has been radically changed over the last forty years to distort its true nature. In fact the bore that we drilled, doent even seem to be mentioned any more. Well Hollow Earth could also mean super big pockets that's been untouched for millions and millions of years. Gravity anomalies underneath Antarctica looks promising for just such a thing, also the current melting from underneath it. This could mean that there are lifeforms that are more alien to us than what we find deep down in the ocean.

The analogy of knowledge being a wall that we build upon over time is particularly interesting to me because the analogy also allows for the idea that someone at the bottom of the wall or mid-way up placed a block incorrectly and could potentially jeopardize everything that was built upon it. The entire wall may come crashing down if we realize that we’ve been taking a mistake as granted.

You should do a video on the details of the Spartacus slave rebellion. It's an amazing tale, you could explore the Roman brutality that they fled from living life as a Roman slave, to how they survived and grew in number, their accomplishments in battle, and just.. all of it. It's one of my favorite stories.. a member of the Roman auxiliary enlisted from Thrace, he deserted the war for unknown reasons, but it's speculated that it could have been because their villages were left undefended while they would be on a campaign they didn't first agree to. Roman's basically took anyone who didn't obey their law as slaves, for any reason. Gladiatorial school wasn't as glorious or spectacular as movies and shows portray. Sure, they drew a crowd, but almost no slave ever won freedom or gained any kind of glory, they just fought to survive, often with the odds weighing insurmountably against them.

@@sadderwhiskeymann you're not wrong, but the vast, vast majority of them, were given no privilege, and they didn't really like to pit a renowned gladiator against another renowned gladiator like an MMA match, because then they lose money when they die, they more just let the crowd favorite slaughter their opponents by giving them dull swords with an altered grip that made it hard to swing. Most of what happened in the arena didn't have anything to do with gladiators, they weren't really celebrities, even if there were some crowd favorites that frequented the arena. Really, though, the arena was a place for deviance and depravity to be flaunted by those with money.. they tied women to posts and made giraffes hump them to death, they gave midgets meat cleavers and made them fight to the death, they would have declawed and defanged tigers fight rich Roman's who paid for it to make themselves look like a badass.. But like I said, you're not wrong- if a slave was given the opportunity, they could fight well and make a name for themselves which could result in preferential treatment - it took the right ludus and the right games, but it could happen. Although, preferential treatment for a slave, is still the treatment of a slave.

Thoughts: there may be pockets beneath Earth's crust that are inhabited and have been for thousands of years - (Emerald Tablets of Thoth, Hopi mythology, Levant mythology.) Why not? Earth's atmosphere also supplies the downward pressure that assists in keeping life anchored to the surface of this planet. The curve of the crust would apply the same type of pressure upon itself as that exerted by a Roman arch and thus keep the crust in place and prevent its collapse. Everything is possible. Excellent video! I loved how you described the fact that, no matter how advanced in technology and science we get; every genius of every generation is doing nothing more than working with what they had at the time. Technology, thinkers of their not so distant past, the science at the time. It all seemed very logical to them at the time. But as they say, "life goes on." Keep up the great content! 💯

Given the limited scientific equipment he had Halley was nothing short of a genius to be able deduce that the inside of earth is more complex than we think, with just compass readings across the world, which is true as we now know our earth's iron core moves all the time, and the earth's magnetic field moves with it.

@Mirror Space You mean Search on Google? We are all humans and no matter how brilliant he was, he was subjective in his reasoning. We just figured out a couple months ago that we have no idea what's inside the Earth. If the core was iron then there would be no way for the magnetic poles to shift. As we see them shift daily we now believe the polls may be flipping soon. Proving only that we have no idea what goes on inside a planet.

It's interesting how they took the science of the heated molten core and turned it into a mini internal star (which in a way it kind of is but there is no way that anything could live near it, with those conditions, the pressure, the radiation it would give off, the never ending day time. It's also interesting that ground water flows down into underground aquifers and they probably thought that was how it rained or was supplied with water down into the internal region. It's just interesting how you can at least imagine how a person could have maybe seen more into this theory than most others. But in a way it helped us learn the true form of the inner workings of our planets and magnetosphere, atmosphere, ionosphere, water life cycles, lava, tectonic plates, etc.

Well, in reality there probably ARE small hollow spaces dotted about the interior of Earth, as it's not a solid sphere of iron or rock. The spaces most likely move around, as molten magma, expanding gases, & water move solid rocks far below the surface. And of course, the mantle is always in motion. That's why the dreaded "pole shift" has the potential to be so catastrophic. It's like a person's brain when they get a concussion - there's enough "space" inside the skull to allow the brain to slosh from side to side. Same thing with the Earth's interior (AND exterior). The sudden magnetic reversals, because the poles will shift, then quickly shift back again, will cause the whole planet to slosh from side to side. If there were not slight open spaces inside, the sloshing would be almost negligible. But if there IS a civilization inside Earth, it's SURELY made up of magma boogers & gas fairies, with the occasional stone ogre thrown in - nothing to worry about, or dream of finding!

Pole shifts aren't something to be "dreaded" they happen about a 100 times every 100 million years we could have one some time in the next 1,000-2,000 years. There is no evidence in the fossil record that pole shifts have any negative effects on living organisms. And any spaces inside the earth below the asthenosphere would not be "hollow" as in a pocket of air as the temperature is so high its mostly made of silicates.

I'm surprised you didn't cover the expedition of Admiral Richard E. Byrd to the North Pole. I believe his log showed that as he approached the pole he began to see the landscape change and become warmer and greener. He believes he had flown into an opening in the pole that led him to a hollow earth. Control of his aircraft was taken over by aircraft that appeared along side his and he was landed at some amazing place. He was then escorted to the leader of that land. The rest of the story eludes me, but it's a hell of a tale and deserves to be explored further here or somewhere. Great video just the same.

There could be a small hollow as matter gets pulled somewhat outwards in all directions towards the greater mass, also, the spinning of the earth may force matter away from the centre over time. One question i have is. How far down does molten rock go? Is it mostly molten from the friction of the earth's crust moving? Perhaps at the poles there is far less molten rock or perhaps one day they will find a way to penetrate past hot zones. Could be a whole new technology of mining and energy harvesting down there too.

You finally got to a subject I find myself on the 'crazy people' list on. I'm surprised you didn't mention large hollow caverns that advanced civilizations with much longer lifespans can use as shelter from the many natural concerns of the surface. Would a structurally reinforced cavern and knowledge of the seismic forces not be enough to make something potentially more enduring than anything and everything man or nature has created on the surface? I just think there is merit here, a sub-surface base would make even more sense if it were on the moon or a planet with less electromagnetic forces. I did spend a couple semesters studying geology before switching majors and still find myself in awe of the the 'inner' workings of this tiny blue dot. Would love to hear your thoughts on this @Thoughty2. You are talented in the fact that you can explain away the majority of controversy when it comes to scientific fact, something I can greatly appreciate in the modern world. Another great video, thanks. I'm sure you know of his channel but kzbin.info has some wonderful videos on the topic.

2 things 1. The hollow Earth theory is one idea, another is the Inner Earth theory. Rather than a super massive inner hollow core, or layers of inner spaces, there are actually very large inner caverns. Entrances to these massive inner caves can be found all over the world, mostly in relation to the the mentioned religions in this video. 2. Richard E Byrd, former Admiral of the U.S. Navy and national hero, is certainly a credible person to listen to. His descriptions of flying into the inner Earth around the Poles and leading a giant U.S. Naval expedition to the Antarctica that "failed", should not be forgotten about.

@Quickshot0
@Quickshot0 2 жыл бұрын
@@BMichaelGalloway There's of course no problem with shallow cave systems, we know of many of those even. How ever, we've also tried digging very deep down with our drills, and if you go deep enough then the sheer pressure difference gets so bad that solid rock bonds aren't enough to prevent rock to slowly start seeping in to hollow areas. Basically to large a pressure differences exceed the material strength of rock itself. And thus large hollows beyond a certain point become highly problematic to be sustained naturally. As in, a perfect diamond sphere could keep a hollow perhaps free to amazing depths, but what's the chance of finding much of that in nature? So at the end of the day, the limited strength of rock seems to make even cave systems large enough for humans very difficult to exist in nature, requiring extremely strong materials with out much flaw or any at all, less the pressures break it along the weak points.

Natural law means the belief of hierarchy in nature (e.g. big fish eats little fish), this hierarchy must be followed to satisfy the universe. We have mammals and reptiles which burrrow pretty deep, it's not so far fetched - but just isn't apparent to be reality.

I've been doing lots of KZbin research on the subject, and came across some interesting materials suggesting that giants lived in caves, among other things. And many caves have yet to be found, while the ones we know of have largely not been completely explored. Even the partially explored caves have yielded fascinating artifacts, so one has to wonder what kind of cool things lie even deeper. If just about every ancient civilization believed in an underworld or in creatures/people that lived underground, there must be a bit of truth to what they're saying. Just my thoughts on the matter.

Leonhard Euler had a pretty sound model that would fit the known laws of gravity. Some of the picture shown in this video were even based off his model. Basically, about 1500 miles of mantle, then a single 500 mile wide core. This could theoretically be possible when you account for Earth's fast rotation, as a Sattilite could orbit the Earth 50 feet above sea level if it was fast enough and didn't hit anything. The other planets near Earth's size all have slower rotations, only ones that have faster rotations are the gas giants. The mass of the mantle would be far greater than the core as well, meaning the mantle wouldn't cave in with this model like Thoughty2 described. And the core would rest in the center of the Earth, as thats where the mantles gravity well would be, albeit much lighter. The center of gravity itself would be coming from about 750 miles down in the mantle, inverting on the inside. Due to the distance between each side of the inner mantle, the gravity from each side has minimal effects, allowing for objects to cling to the underside of the mantle, as if it were the ground. The distance for most sattilites from the Earth is about 20000 miles, so 5000 miles would definitely play an effect on the forces of gravity.

And never had to dispose of tailings or rocks/debris as it dug. This machine could bore many miles in each 24hr period and produced a strange humm.. In new mexico people would hear this hum at night when the ambient noise level would drop and they thought it was some kind of spiritual sound.
