All those non-Muslim officers coming to pay respects along with the Muslim officers. It is lovely. Brotherhood is based on ideals and common goals, not solely on race or religion.

That's how the Muslims handle burials. They bury folks right away.

It’s part of Islamic law

Honoring the dead by burying him that’s what’s preferred but it depends on circumstances and in this case I believe he he will be buried back in his home country Pakistan so maybe a week from now so this was just a prayer ceremony for the dead and maybe they’ll do another one once he arrives in Pakistan

In Islamic law (and Jewish), the dead must be buried quickly or within 24 hours with full dignity and respect, and prayers. There is no embalming, no preserving of the body. It is an abomination to modify, treat, decorate, or preserve the body. The dead are given a final bath, body cleansed, wrapped in a simple white shroud, and a simple mundane coffin box, lowered into the earth with a chant of prayers, properly placed in the grave, and dust is shoveled by hands by each attendee to cover the coffin. Another prayer is offered, grieving family members cry over the grave, are consoled, and finally taken to their homes. There are more prayers for the dead on his/her first night in the grave as the dead are believed to be visited and questioned by angels about their deeds in this world. The friend and family pray and mourn for the 40 days with a lot of prayers for the departed soul's forgiveness of sins in the hereafter and/or ease of the hellfire and/or forgiveness to his soul if he/she died sinful. But, the widow and mothers mourn the man for life until their last breath.

the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “By the One in whose hand is my soul, this world will not end until a day comes over the people where the killer has no idea why he killed, nor the killed why he was killed.” It was said, “How will that be?” He said, “Chaos.” In another hadith, “The Hour will not commence until knowledge is removed, earthquakes become frequent, time narrows, turmoil surfaces, and anarchy increases- namely killing, [lots of] killing.”

It’s a terrible tragedy that this has happened and my condolences to the family and friends of this officer and human being. That being said I don’t understand how all of this money is being spent on a funeral in which streets are being closed and the community and business even more being effected. It makes no sense to spend this kind of money and resources on something superficial instead of these resources being distributed in a meaningful way to people who desperately need help with food, shelter, mental health and so much more. This is a show of power and access but what about the same display for the common citizens whom unforeseeably pass away in our communities. Is our police class not simply the common citizen working for other common citizens in order to protect theirselves? How do this compartmentalization accumulatively happen where the police became and separate class then the common people they their selves in fact are all actually from and what purpose does that really serve…? Inquiring minds would like to know……

@Queentina Doire i would love to respect, but i can't forget the ppl who were shouting ' i love u ' when the shooter was arrested, so it's very difficult for me to stay respectful.

@@tughralraja8241 I am not asking you to show respect for the killer. I am asking you to show respect for the dead. I saw the video with those fools shouting out I love you- that was inappropriate and evil. They will get what's coming to them. Maybe I don't understand your comment but trust me I am in sympathy with this fallen officer. No one should have to die this way. Don't worry, the killer will be punished here on earth and will give an account to God. I am pushing for the Death Penalty. He murdered this young man in cold blood. Let's continue to pray for the family 🙏🏾.

@@tughralraja8241.... The folks shouting "I love you" were the perpetrator's family members.
