Thousands of Fish at the Byron Bay Shipwreck!

Recently, I was in Northern New South Wales and decided to hit this awesome snorkelling spot in Byron Bay: The Wreck. I was super lucky to find sub-tropical species of fish and even a green sea turtle.

I'm going snorkeling soon. Any advice? I don't know what it's like to breathe with a snorkel.

Initially, snorkelling may feel a little confronting, but if you start in shallow water and just try to get the feel for it, you will begin to feel more comfortable - if you can relax yourself, you'll realise that your breathing doesn't have to be compromised or altered when snorkelling. ⁠@@elihadwen1151 Thank you! I am especially concerned about the way I breathe while wearing the mask. What happens if I try to breathe through my nose? Can? Is it very uncomfortable to breathe with it on? Thanks for answering

The focus of snorkelling is to breathe through your mouth, so if you breathe through your nose your goggles might fog up. Nothing bad will happen to your breathing, but it’s best to only take breaths through your mouth. With a bit of practice though, you’ll pick up snorkelling real fast.
