Cinematic excellence! The camera crew captured some awesome shots. Their commentary and outro gave it a family feel you couldn’t capture if you tried. Neil, those girls are becoming young ladies. Growing up right before your eyes. Kara and you have to be bursting with pride. Keep engaging them… they’ll thank you some day. And, the memories you have will comfort you when they spread their wings and leave the nest! No doubt, I’ll see you in the next one!

Thank you so much my friend. To say we're proud of them is an understatement! I'm grateful to be their Dad and just hope we can equip them with the right tools to take on life on their own someday, I just hope they stick around as long as they can! Thanks so much for the kind words and support. They really enjoyed reading the comments today on their iPads. Have a great week!

I couldn't be prouder of you right now son! You discovered the two greatest rewards of adulthood. You will never do better than Amish mulch and children are essentially, guilt free labor. Now Kara mentioned a "pond" but what she was really insinuating was "fireplace." Couldn't help but notice you lifted with your back and not your legs on the "first tree." Happy cake day to the minions, Ella and Eva. Just wait till the International Cinematographers Guild (ICG) shows up on the girls behalf and wants to negotiate a contract dad! Love home and hug the girls for me.
@digdrivediy2 жыл бұрын
You couldn't be more on point by putting "Amish" and "children are guilt free labor" in the same sentence! lol :) The Amish are masters of family projects, and they've got the high quality hardwood mulch to prove it. Kara says she'll forgo the fireplace indoors if we put a big fancy stone fireplace thingy next to the pond. I counter offered by suggesting we change from a burn barrel to an old truck tire fire ring and we could call it a day. I'm not sure she'll bite though. Now, to keep these girls on the clock and not aspire to achieve anything more than just shooting videos for dear 'ole Dad...

Nice work !! Fyi I've been laying mulch for about 36 years now and nothing beats a 12 time pitchfork to dig it out, a six tine long handle to to bulk spread, and a flipped over leaf rake to smooth it all out. Not critiquing it looks great 👍

OMG, that was so cute! "And it's all going to be recorded by my two daughters...": (sorry, I couldn't make out their names, but they sure look like two awesome girls.). And then the cat came rushing in, attacking and hissing at the other one.... completely opposite of how the girls behaved when they both voted to be the one handling the microphone. Like well raised kids, they handled that "tie vote" between themselves diplomatically... with no whining or complaining at the result (unlike that brat cat, lol) I saw what you did there Neil and I laughed pretty hard at it. You're doing a heck of a great job dad. I was a great dad too, but now I'm closer to your dad's age and still blessed with awesome health. Lotsa love from western Canada. 👊

When I was little I remember getting rides around the yard on a Cub Cadet 147. Got that tractor still today. Had to do a rebore to the engine. My mother friend husband used it at there river house. It's amazing that tractor went under water more then once if I remember. It got cleaned very good and flushed out and always started back up. Can't do that with something today. I remember when I was younger seeing a 140 H3 with a Johnson loader, mower deck and read weight box, and I think tire chains. I asked my Uncle for a loan but I was denied. Do this day still no John Deere. But Cub Cadets, Wheel Horse, and a couple of Simplicity Yeoman and Broadmoor
