Thousands of Montrealers took to the downtown streets on Saturday to protest the Quebec government's decision to impose a COVID-19 vaccine passport to control access to festivals, bars, restaurants and gyms.

A very peaceful protest, no hate, just high spirits. My first thought was they are far too cheerful for how serious this is, but I can't blame them. Quebec was locked up tighter and longer than anywhere w/ the curfew all winter/spring. Can't blame them for being happy to be out, and among like minded people, rather than their brainwashed family and loved ones. Some people feel really isolated, until they get to a protest or something like it.

It's hundreds of thousands, but I don't expect anything more from CityNews. We do NOT WANT THIS. The government has NO RIGHT to infringe on the charter like this. This was the first protest I EVER went to in my 33 years. This was a big one, like I said hundreds of thousands of people (upwards of 450,000 by estimates).
