Hey Tug and Ladies, you are killing me with those delicious looking shrimp. I was born in Jacksonville, my Dad worked at the shipyard as a welder. Apparently there was a hurricane that put everyone out of work. Some relatives in GA. called and said there was a new company starting right outside Atlanta , they needed welders the rest is history. I feel like my saltwater life screams my name even more so now, I turned 60 last September.we adopted a daughter . She is now 10. She loves to fish and wants to shrimp too. I would put her up against anyone catfishing. We plan to vacation this summer down around your area. It would be a privilege to meet you and the family. We could bring some fresh caught catfish, maybe you could bring some shrimp. Thanks as always for the great and informative content. Your fans in GA. Sherri and Addison.

Commercial shrimpers pinch heads between thumb and index finger from the sides. That way both hands work at once. Often on a little wood stool on deck to keep your butt dry, and a cold one handy. Then toss them in a basket and hose them clean all at once. Sometime a sort is made at that time. Most Florida people I know cook them heads on. You get more shrimp flavor. I explain to visitors how to pick out the vein with one of those long red tapered picks. And while they clean 1, I eat 3 vein and all. I often use a Coleman lamp on a rope from a bridge. That brings them to the surface enough to swing a long handled net from the bridge. It works well on a moving current. The best way of all, is to find a culvert draining the bayou into the Gulf. You just put your net under the flow from the culvert, and watch it fill up. PS Is your shrimp cast net 5/8 bar, or 5/8 stretched mesh? Bon Appetite.

Little citrus tip, if you roll your citrus on a hard surface with some gentle pressure like a deep tissue massage before you cut or peel it the citrus will be easier to peel and make it juicer and easier to squeeze.

Excellent! Dude, you need to try St. Elmo Steak House, Indianapolis, cocktail sauce. You want some kick! It will light you up. I keep a jar in the fridge. It even helps make frozen fish sticks tolerable. St Elmo has a shrimp eating contest every year during the big 10 football championship that Joey Chestnut has won many times. TV sports commentators frequently mention their cocktail sauce during ball games. Kroger carries it and will ship if their stores down there don't have it.

Great video as always brotha! Did you do a video gigging the flounder? If not I would love to see that. If so I guess I'll have to find it. Anyway, learning a lot from someone that is local, we're in St John's County as well but north of St Augustine in Julington Creek. Now that I've heard that there's a lot of shrimping going on in the St Johns River, and shrimp happens to be my wife's favorite food, really tempted to go out and try my luck at getting some fresh for myself sometime. Heard about using cast nets that are made into shrimping nets. Never saw the dip method that you were talking about with those big long nets. Would love to see that sometime as well. Hopefully you can do another video where you don't have to worry about copyrighted music in the background, etc or whatever the reason was other than that and the light. Just would like to see how you do it with those nets. Appreciate everything you do brotha, GOD BLESS!
