This shit is why thrash has always been my favorite flavor of metal. Chunking grooves that keep your head rocking, from a bob to a bang and back. This video just reminded me why I love The Big Four still after all these years, too.
@BigHomieSteveTheMetalHead2 жыл бұрын
Same here, Thrash Metal is the ultimate genre of metal imo. One of the best things about Thrash is how diverse it is, there are several subgenres of Thrash which means basically an endless supply of old school and modern thrash bands to discover. Not sure if you're into the modern Thrash bands, but there's some incredible newer bands out there that most people don't even know about. One of which is the band in my profile pic, the French Progressive Thrash Metal band called Arcania. Arcania has 2 albums called "Dreams Are Dead" and "Sweet Angel Dust", both albums are bangers from start to finish, technical, melodic, and progressive.

The no mids all gain sound is the way to go imo
@birdsteak9267 Жыл бұрын
Actually with an EQ, a Distortion pedal and a Overdrive, adjust some different low and high mids on the EQ, turn down the mids on the OD and Distortion pedal, crank it a bit up on the Amp on the Mids, and it sounds like both worlds crash together, also be mindful of the bass on this setting, when you hear Wob Wob, turn it a bit down, until it Chugs. The Trebs is hard to explain, I got lucky on that combo. It also depends on the pedals, my distortion isn't warm but my OD is, I think it is a good compensation.
