Rat Skates was such an integral part of Over Kill. I absolutely love the title track off of Feel The Fire. Of course, Rotten To The Core & Over Kill are classics. I do prefer Taking Over & Years Of Decay, but Feel The Fire is my 3rd favorite Over Kill album.

Excellent additions to the OG vinyl collection here Mike. Being such a huge fan of ‘Refuge Denied’ I was so excited to hear what they’d do on their 2nd album… & I was not disappointed. I absolutely love ‘Annihilation Principle’… I especially love the mellower tracks… so beautifully melodic in places. Good to see you as always mate🤘🏻

Nice one Mike! That Overkill album is great, I picked it up earlier this year and really enjoyed it. Never listened to DRI or Atheist but I have both on my list to check out, I'm pretty certain I would enjoy both because I love Crossover Thrash and some Technical Death Metal. Cheers! 🤘🏻🤘🏻

Hi Mike!! well done and cool OG additions to the collection, most of them in perfect condition too..... Early Overkill is really good and i think for many fan the albums before "Years..." are kind of overlooked. I discover D.R.I. with their more "thrash" albums "4 of a Kind" cool release. Sanctuary is another band i listen for the first time i think not so long ago also Laaz Rockit and Risk just listen to them on YT after watching videos recommending someof their stuff, so as you can see i have a lot of thing trying to add too. cheers and be well

Its rare that i watch a video and i know all the albums. Great bunch of records Mike. My copy of " Feel the Fire ' is a German one on Noise. Where it says " Sonic Reducer " on the back its in a different colour from the other track listings. Always made me think that they included that cover as an afterthought after the initial cover print run. I do like that " Annihilation Principle " and showed if off in past video. And yes if i find an original release i have a tendency to love it more than a re-issue. That Seppuku sword on the cover of that flotsum album is too long - always annoyed me that!. Cheers Mike🤘

Nice stack of OG's there Mike. Always been a big fan of Into the Mirror Black, even though Refuge Denied is better, great to see you coming around to it. Atheist - Piece of Time is one of my all time favorites. Patterson got killed in a car accident early 91, and was not recording anything on the second album, but he was doing his part of the songwriting for it. Tony Choy played the bass on the second album. Risk is a fun band, but still prefer the Faithful Breath era Gold 'n' Glory album by those guys. Cheers. 🤘🏻🤘🏻

Very Nice OG additions to your collection mate 🤘Annihilation Principle is my favourite Laaz album 😂 and has one of my favourite cover songs done by a thrash band on it. Hope it clicks with you one day but we all can’t like the same stuff all the time. Melodic thrash/speed metal mix I would basically describe Risk as but they are bigger In sound than that, those first 3 albums are killer.

I have the Overkill vinyl box set - Horoscope is my fav, although I do like all their albums - I hear cack is a bit naff though. Was never into Sanctuary, as I never liked his vocals - so never got into Nevermore for that reason. Got Laaz Rockit on cds - all originals as ive had em years. DRI - got all the first few on Roadrunner ( cds ) . Love Atheist - got all of em on reissue vinyls - id rather have reissue vinyls cause I like em all new and shiny - I hate worn sleeves lol.

Flotz tried getting the master tapes back, but of course Electra Records don’t give a rats ass & made the price unaffordable. So they re-recorded the album in 2014, it’s ok but nowhere near the original. Have you ever tried the 3rd Sanctuary album? I still want to get that on cd. Great update 🤘

Excellent pick-ups! Early Overkill is surprisingly good. To this day, I'm surprised everytime I listen to those early albums :D I picked up afairly cheap copy of 'Feel the Fire' maybe last year, but I don't think that one had the Noise insert. I love 'Into the Mirror Black', but it is an album the requires throrough listening. I quite like the Lååz Rockit album, but it's definitely not an innovative album or anything liket hat. Love Atheist's brand of weird jazz death metal. The Risk one's really good too IMO. I don't have a better angle though :D

Some fine scores. Roger from Atheist died before recording Unquestionable Presence but I think he wrote all the basslines and Tony Choy played them. I prefer it to Piece of Time but it's less thrash and more fruity so might be your thing

Into The Mirror Black just doesn't cut it for me, the cover always put me off and I was late too the party and the debut will always win out for me - not bad just not great. Never got DRI. It seems like you have been wrong about sooo many albums lol - good to see you coming around! That Risk album was always destined for your collection, if any of us had bought it instead you'd have grown to hate and despise us, lol.

I quite like Risk!! And you are not that far fetched with that Running Wild remark as Thilo Hermann from risk played on four running wild records in the. Nineties starting with Black Hand In…. He also did a record with Grave Digger and Faithful Breath…

No wonder that Nevermore played "Future..." and "Taste..." live when I first saw them live. That D.R.I. album is crap, it just bores me. "4 of a Kind" is way better. You can´t describe Risk´s music. Definetely Thrash but not really. They started as a "Krautrock" band in the 70s called Faithful Breath. They became heavier in the early 80s and released a couple of classic "German Metal" albums. "The Reborn" is my fave Risk album, they sound even more different on that...

I felt the same way about INTO THE MIRROR BLACK upon the first couple of listens. But after a few more listens and really paying close attention to songs. The album became better and better to me. Such a great unique Metal album. I've been having it since about 3years. after it's original release date. And consider it a classic Metal album now. Very good updates Mike.🙂🍻🤘
